Sensational as ever! Thank you for the great service, the brilliant marrow bones and the great meat. I only have one negative point: WHERE IS THE ASHTRAY??? (see photos) It's a shame, that's really something special.

Yesterday we were at Mad Angel for the first time and we can already say it won't be the last time! Sensational food, friendly and competent service and a unique ambience. From the tartare to the spider steak to the tarte tatin and “cold cheroot”, everything was a culinary delight!! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

You wait a relatively long time to eat when the restaurant is full. But it is world class.

Very nice restaurant and super friendly service. The food is excellent and very nicely prepared. The lounge right next to the restaurant is very cozy and serves excellent cocktails. We always enjoy coming back :) If you want to try the Ultra HOT Steak Challenge, you should be aware that the sauce is extremely hot (2 million Scoville) and the effect can be felt long after eating 🔥🔥

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the entrecôte and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The preparation was spot on and the quality of the meat was excellent. I would particularly like to mention the service as positive. Our waiter was extremely personable and attentive. He looked after us excellently throughout the entire meal and made sure we didn't miss anything. However, there is one area that needs improvement: the payment process. It would be desirable if payment could be made immediately after submitting the invoice in order to optimize the process for guests and shorten waiting times. Overall, my visit was extremely pleasant and I look forward to returning soon.

Head maître d was very welcoming and nice. Atmosphere, really cool. The bison meat was good along with duck’ liver. A bit long in terms of service. The dessert was original and awesome. Would be happy to be back, next time. It’s not cheap but this is Switzerland.

Fantastic evening from reception to farewell. We had delicious cocktails, the steaks were perfect as ordered, the fries were crispy, the market vegetables were varied! Everything came perfectly prepared. The service staff was attentive and funny. The furnishings are exceptional, despite being fully occupied there is a pleasant atmosphere and not too loud. Price-performance is reasonable.

A modern restaurant in Liestal. The food I had was the beef tartare and the asado beef ribs. Both were excellent. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I can recommend the restaurant.

Wow! Went there for the first time today. Everything from the food to the service was just right! I don't think I've ever experienced such great service! The food was on point. Anyone who also likes “dark, evil” is particularly well looked after in this ambience. I totally celebrated it! So really an ABSOLUTE recommendation for anyone who has the necessary change :) What should be added is the above-average attention: I had casually mentioned on the phone that it was about a birthday, and they still knew that. They still knew my name at the end and our dog got something to drink straight away. We weren't expecting any of this, but we were even more impressed! I could list a lot more but I think the most important thing is mentioned :) Thank you for this wonderful evening!

For me, Mad Angel wasn't just a place for good food, it was also a place with excellent service. Unfortunately, today we had to make a very active effort to be served again, not just between courses but also when the drinks were empty. It's a real shame, I found Mad to be very hospitable and attentive, but unfortunately this is no longer the case. Addendum... After a while I've been to Mad Angel again. And I want to change my recession for the better. The food was excellent, as mentioned above, and the service was also excellent again. We were served with a lot of wit and humor and left the restaurant in a really good mood, although the service staff were not innocent in this ;)

Excellent food with very high quality meat and delicious side dishes. Nice selection of cards. The service staff is simply top. This makes eating out fun.

Come and discover this gem from Lestal. An excellent welcome, high quality cuisine. I didn't know German Switzerland, I'm leaving this enchanted little town. A very big thank you to the team (waiters, chef...), you take great care of the customers.

Wow, just fantastic from A to Z. One of the best meals I've ever had. The price is high, but absolutely justified. Service was very attentive, the food was hard to beat (even the side dishes were very creative and tasty). There is a cozy lounge for smokers, a big plus for that. I will come again when I have the wherewithal to visit. If you like good, high-quality meat and want to treat yourself to something out of the ordinary, this is the place for you.

The restaurant's décor and ambience are designed with a lot of attention and dedication, even if it's not necessarily my personal favorite. The lounge was particularly impressive. The food was great! I chose the ribeye and a salad for starters. A small problem arose when the steak was served with two sauces and herb butter. The sauces, herb butter and the steak itself were so delicious that before every bite I had internal conflicts about whether I should enjoy the next piece with one of the two sauces, the herb butter or "natural". That was really tiring! ;) The service was excellent: very friendly, quick and attentive. It almost doesn't get any better. Only the temperature in the restaurant was a little too cool for me and my companion. Although I am not normally sensitive to cold, I had felt some cold on my legs. This could also have been because we had the table in the middle in front of the entrance to the kitchen, where it was a little drafty. Overall, it was a successful evening with delicious food and excellent service. However, some small adjustments to the temperature could further improve comfort. We'll definitely come back.

This was my second time there. The first time I had a super tasty fillet and yesterday the double beef burger. I've never had such a good burger. So juicy. About the otherworldly bacon and meat, I don't even need to get started. The martini espresso for dessert was fabulous. Service incredibly friendly. I could go on like this forever. See it for yourself xD

Perfect down to the last detail. The normal butter for the bread was the only thing that wasn't unusual :-)

Today we had a alumni dinner and met at Mad Angel in Liestal. From the mountain refreshment to the aperitifs, to the main course and dessert - really great. The quality is excellent, the presentation was original and the dessert was a highlight. I can only recommend this restaurant. Anyone who loves a good piece of meat will get their money's worth here. Fast service. Delicious food. The waitress dressed up for Halloween. I thought it was great. They also decorated the restaurant. I can only recommend.

We went there at the end of October during the week. Everything was decorated for Hallowe'en, even the staff was dressed up for it. Quite a nice atmosphere to dine in. The selection of food, especially meat was good. Pricing fair for suisse standards. We ordered tartar (very hot) as a starter, could've been much hotter, but that's just me. For main we had ribeye (you can order in 50g steps), medium. Meat came medium as ordered. Even though the fat is an important part of this cut, our slices just had a tad too much of it. Nonetheless, taste was great. If you want a good piece of meat or great burger, I can really recommend this place. We'll definitely be back.

We were a group of three women. Had truffle ravioli, which was beautifully presented, as a starter. It was the first time I had tried truffle ravioli and I loved it!! I had a steak, which was extremely tasty. My friends each had a burger. We skipped dessert, but next time we'll definitely try one because they looked delicious. Mad Angel is really a heartfelt recommendation and I would be happy to come by again.

Cozy atmosphere and committed employees. The menu has a few specialties but also the steakhouse “basics”. Overall, definitely one of the better “steakhouses” in the region.
