It's a shame that it doesn't offer a brunch option, because we're limiting ourselves based on the prices. But otherwise it's still very good I highly recommend

No originality in this concept which in no way renews its menu. The products are not in season, in the kitchen there is probably no chef, and in the dining room we are in a hurry to leave our table as quickly as possible to renew. Epicureans at your own risk. Probably suitable for “young people” and very instagramable. We will not come back.

Dismal setting, oily table on which we were quickly given paper placemats, an apple muesli at 14 chf, without comments and the quesadilla at 17 chf for the flight. Even the waiter was laughing when he served it to us. Scandal! We'll never set foot there again.

A restaurant where I love to go for brunches with friends or even family. Since this year it has been a pleasure to come back to eat or to see my girlfriend who serves me like a princess and the staff is adorable, very attentive, smiling and takes the time to chat with you. I highly recommend you! Don’t forget to book especially on weekends.

I really wanted to try the Marcel restaurant again after a few years. The brunch was good and the setting intimate, nothing to complain about. I was so disappointed with the reception though. The service is like the decor...industrial. I came solo and was asked for the first time if I had finished my plate even though it was half full. I was still chewing my last bite when the waitress cleared my plate (literally). The service is polite but we feel that the table must be freed as quickly as possible for the next customers. And 6 CHF for an avocado supplement hurts the eyes (and the wallet). There are so many more cafe/brunch choices where I felt more welcome in the neighborhood.

Pancakes are delicious and bagels are dangerous. It is worth trying. The service is excellent. Reservation required.

Simply a delicious moment. We came to celebrate a birthday, the magic was there. The food is very good, homemade (a nod to this magnificent Club/Sandwich, both simple but mastered). The welcome is sunny with the radiant smile of the team. A young lady with green/blue eyes made this lunch pleasant and friendly, thank you. I recommend this place if you like good things and real service. Will I go back? Yes !

If you want Rock hard cakes then Marcel is the place. Even after pre booking a cake they gave us rocks without any cream which is the usual way they serve it. After complaining even the waitress didn’t do a thing. Good luck if you want bad service and rock hard cakes

Very nice environment, tables a bit too close to each other in the sofa area. Fast and friendly services. Great avocado toast but the pancakes were a bit burned which affected a lot the taste of it.

We visited this restaurant today and ordered the burger with pulled pork, the salad with meatballs, the chicken dish and cheesecake. Unfortunately, the pulled pork in the burger was drenched in so much barbecue sauce that it became inedible. I requested a replacement, but to my surprise, we were charged for both dishes. The situation took a turn for the worse when they took away the pulled pork dish and brought the replacement dish (chicken). Although our initial experience was pleasant, I can't recommend this place. There are many other establishments in Geneva that truly prioritize customer satisfaction over profit.

Popped in for Sunday brunch and sat at the bar. Service was friendly (sadly we can’t speak French yet). Got the waffles and pancakes. Very fresh and the perfect portion. Highly recommend!

Very nice home. We went there without a reservation and despite this we were able to get a place. The place is beautifully decorated and we love the atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves, the products were of high quality and the seasoning was just perfect. This place will probably be my reference in Geneva! We also really appreciated the service.

Delicious food we had breakfast burrito without the bacon & beef, egg sandwich without bacon, club sandwich, french toast, and halloumi fries! Friendly staff & amazing atmosphere!

They tried to poison me by putting plastic in the club sandwich... besides I was in the hospital for that I'll explain everything to you one fine day I decided to go eat at Marcel's because I'm customer for quite some time when I discovered that in my sandwich there was lots of plastic paper and that I even had some in my mouth while I was chewing…. This surprised me but what's more, he still asked me to pay when I shouldn't have paid for such atrocious things. In addition to that, I have a friend who took a nine-hour dose after eating fish not fresh at home... Moreover, on Friday my father invited me to Marcel's and the waitress took advantage of my father's absence when he and his partner left, she came back to attack me for the Xth time, these cross-border workers don't no lack of nerve... perversity!

A large, well-attended place with a wide variety of dishes for a mid-morning breakfast and lunch.

I was so happy to find a great Brunch place in Geneva

A welcome at the top. The brunch is really good. The breakfast burrito is exceptional and was recommended to me with flying colors. It’s a beautiful address.

Wonderful superfood salad. Beautiful setting. I went there on a public holiday so there were very few people at the first service. So the service was pretty good. When it's full, it's a little slower. The green salad with falafel doesn't serve much purpose and really doesn't have much taste but the rest is good!

I am gluten intolerant and asked for Ceaser salad with grilled chicken (without breadcrumbs) and without croutons. They brought a chicken covered in breadcrumbs. I also ordered iced matcha latte but it tasted like water and I had to ask to remake it. They put a spoon of matcha powder inside and didn’t even properly mix it. There was green powder floating on top of the drink. Very disappointing. One of the waiters also acted quite weirdly towards me and my friends.I wash there was an option of attaching pictures to the review.

Amazing Brunch ! Benedict and Norwegian eggs (5*), waffles (5*) and pancakes (4*, could be fluffier and less dry). Service was ok but can be improved (3*). Still, absolutely Recommended for a Sunday brunch ! Edit - March 23: recently went back to Marcel. The way tables for 2 are set up inside is not comfortable, tables are one right next to the other.. can’t even get up to go to the bathroom or have a private conversation. Brunch is supposed to be relaxing, which is not the feeling you get inside.

Had a quick brunch here at the recommendation of our hotel. After a short walk we were lucky and got our group of 4 seated right away. The restaurant is small and while we were rubbing elbows with the tables next to ours, it wasn't uncomfortable. We ordered the eggs benedict, waffles, and some bacon and all of them were very good. Service was fast and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

I am truly scandalized by the service. We came this morning with my husband and my 7 month old baby. We had reserved for 10 a.m. and we arrived at 9:55. Outside it's -4 degrees. Once inside the waiter tells us to go out and wait outside because they are not ready. I find such a lack of professionalism simply scandalous. There are much more professional establishments in Geneva with impeccable service. We will never come back, that’s a certainty. Making customers leave with a baby for 5 minutes when you say on your site that if we are 15 minutes late we can lose the table, but then bad luck if we arrive 5 minutes early. Scandalous.

Disappointing experience. Bad cappuccinos, portions of savory dishes too small. Of course the desserts however and the smoothie. A communication problem between the very friendly waitresses and the kitchen because our orders (or partially fulfilled orders) were lost twice... a long wait resulted. I do not recommend except for desserts (cheesecake, pancakes, French toasts)

They are busy enough on Sundays that they don't want any customers, I called from 12 p.m., she refused to book me, and told me to call back at 2 p.m. to see if there was space, I I called back at 2 p.m., still no space, not sure. Very disappointed.

Not great unfortunately... I am gluten and lactose intolerant, I really wanted to eat eggs and salmon but this establishment does not offer gluten-free bread which is also lactose-free. I brought my own gluten-free and lactose-free bagel but they told me they couldn't toast it for me and prepare it for me on my plate... so I took the only other thing that looked acceptable and frankly it wasn't great. I think we should perhaps think about where to offer gluten-free bread that does not contain milk or at least allow the customer to bring their own bread and their own service. I come to a restaurant to eat something that I want, not to take one of the only default dishes because you can't be more accommodating... In 2023 it's no excuse not to be able to offer gluten-free bread that doesn't contain no milk... I bring my own bread and tell myself that I have to eat it uncooked and that I prepare it myself on my plate... at this rate maybe we should go somewhere else establishment or stay at home...

The eggs Benedict, halloumi fries and freshly squeezed orange-carrot-ginger juice were really good. Service and ambiance were great too.

Quiet crowded.. but nice place with good options for for brunch 👌

The brunch was a disaster. Overcooked Poached eggs. Potatoes clearly undercooked. “Fresh” orange juice tasted like low grade grapefruit juice from concentrate. You’re also paying for “coffee” from a nespresso machine. Service was fast - so there’s that - but you’re paying Zurich prices for truck stop cafeteria food. Look elsewhere.

It was great for brunch! The food is good, served quickly and the choice of menu is interesting. Little special mention for the French Toasts which are DIVINE 😍

Everything you could want for brunch

Super oppressive brunch. We came with two children; the waiters came every 10 minutes to tell us that we had to order quickly (even though we had just sat down) because we had to vacate the table 1.5 hours later. Super stressful for a Sunday brunch, which means it’s not what we’re looking for on the weekend. We ate quickly, didn't have time to give the baby his potty and no time to have dessert. We'll never come back again. Worst brunch in Geneva.

The brunches are very good but quite limited in portion. Prices a little excessive.

Eggs benedicts were really nice, so was the iced chai latte. Only thing is the inside of the cafe is really cramped and noisy, not the best ambience ever. Good service though.

The menu is descent, but when you reserve for brunch on the weekend and get the table for less than 90 minutes, that‘s just terrible service.

Great meal with my wife, welcomed by a very pleasant young man and quickly served, hearty meal and a wonderful, very smiling team. Not having been able to tip them, I would happily come back and recommend Marcel to everyone for their good Brunch.

Nice place but not very suitable for strollers: at least for the table which was given to us, which we had nevertheless reserved specifying this. We were very crowded which tainted our overall appreciation of the place.

Food ok (one of my poached eggs overcooked), generally nice service without anything exceptional, average value for money... On the other hand, it's the factory. As I was invited I didn't know if we were allowed to have the table for a specific time but they threw the bill at us without asking us anything and they picked up the FULL cups/glasses which is scandalous, disrespectful and flight limit

Being one of the only restaurants open on a Monday evening in Eaux-Vives, I did not expect such high quality. The food was delicious, the setting very nice and the portions very generous (especially the desserts). In addition, the waitresses (Marion and Charlotte) were very efficient, friendly and attentive. I had the Full English breakfast, my brother had the Truffle Quesadillas and the Chicken Skewers, and I have to say that it was the best English breakfast I have ever had in Geneva. My brother's meal reminded us of the family barbecues of our younger years, so much so that I have to say it almost made us want to see our mother-in-law again. After seeing the reactions of the table next to us who had ordered burgers, we will come back without any hesitation.

Not a real brunch spot.. I booked for 10am and nobody warned us it’s a 90 minute seating only.. we only received our main food 45mins later and then at 11.30 we were asked to leave despite having just received a second coffee and some desert… Very strange system… coffee was bad too…they also messed up my main course.. Won’t be going back..

We won’t be going back again. We booked to eat early with friends. Arrived ordered drinks and then it took a while before they came back for our food order. Finally food order was taken (we weren’t fussed as we were happy drinking our coffees) after our eggs etc arrived they asked if we wanted anything else and we ordered pancakes and more drinks. With in 10 mins of pancakes arriving we were told we had to leave as next table was here. We still had plates of food and full drinks we were so confused. We were told that we should have been informed that it was a 90 minute seating only (we had no idea!) which might have been ok if they had taken our food order when we arrived rather than 30 mins into the “seating” . I’ve never experienced being forced to leave with full plates of food and drinks in front of us. We could have also been informed we had limited time when we ordered the extra drinks and pancakes (maybe some advice for future?). We would have happily eaten faster had we known but it was the way we were told we had to leave now.

We went there for brunch. Food and drinks are good. The tables are very close together and when you have different dishes on the table, it is a little uncomfortable. Our table neighbors, a young couple, each watched videos at a very high volume, then took a photo of their dish and left without touching almost anything. There was a lot of noise in the establishment and the sound of the videos on top of that was deafening. We learned at 11:20 that we had to leave the table for the next “shift” which started at 11:30. As we had not been informed of this system, we were offered drinks free of charge. For me, brunch was a “breakfast” and a “lunch” or a “super big” breakfast, where we ate a lot because we didn’t eat again at lunchtime. » — (Christophe Duprez, The Magic Trap, 2010) ...so I admit that I'm not a huge fan of the formula with several slots where you have a precise hour and a half to eat and leave. We were very pleasantly surprised by this place: fast service, very friendly employees (special mention to Lucie with whom we could have talked for hours), and the food was really great. Only fresh produce, and very nice vegetarian options. Go there without delay :)

CATASTROPHIC!! Although we are used to this place, this last time was frankly mediocre and convinced us 100% that it was the last! 45 minutes after ordering, still nothing on our table. Not even the drinks. Yet everyone around us is served, even those who arrived later. We ask for the first time where things are. They bring us cards... A second time, still nothing. Third time, my friend goes to ask directly at the bar and the bartender tells her that "you see Madam, my colleagues are running everywhere, it's going to happen". Given the tone used with my friend, I went to the bar and asked for explanations. Why make the customer feel guilty for asking FOR THE 3RD TIME TO RECEIVE THEIR DRINKS AFTER 45 MINUTES, WHILE EVERYONE AROUND IS BEING SERVED?? Always derogatory responses from the waitresses who place themselves as victims and play lessons. When it was time to bring the dishes, as feared, my friend's dish was bathed in sauce even though she had asked for the sauce on the side, and the meatballs in my salad were literally charred. Around us, the other customers who arrived after us are already leaving. Others restart the servers because their orders do not arrive. A waitress runs into the street after two customers who were missing 50 cents from their bill.... In short, service that would make you cry. We will never set foot there again.

RACIST STAFF DIVISION I was deeply disappointed to see today, by sheer chance of being seated at the bar by the kitchen, that all the front staff people are young and white, whereas those in the back exclusively persons of colour. I can't in good conscience support a business with this division of labour with such hiring practises. Edit-response to owner: To whoever is in charge of the diversity hiring, their placement of people is clearly divisive. I saw what I saw. I am standing by what I have said.

The place is suitably lit and neat a busy corner. food was well prepared and fresh. credit to the team, one kind employee kept checking with tables if they were doing ok.

Excellent brunch in Eaux Vives. Booking is advised. Portions are very generous.
