I am thrilled with “Maron” on Bahnhofplatz in Chur. We were 4 people and reserved on the 1st floor. For lunch. We ordered capuns, 2 x pork slices, cordon bleu. We were all completely thrilled. Friendly service, great food. The café itself is also very attractive and inviting. I live in Uetikon am See ZH, but that won't stop me from going back to the "Maron" in Chur. THE MARON IS SIMPLY MEGA…

I can only recommend the brunch at Maron👍🏻. Cozy atmosphere on the 1st floor with a view of the Chur train station square and the Calanda🏔. Lift available🛗. Very friendly and attentive staff🤩. Everything is in great shape and clean👌🏻. Reservation (online) recommended📱. Otto/Alex underground car park: The lift comes out directly in front of the Maron🛗. One of 2 Bündner plates can be seen in the photo. We also had 3x butter, 2x scrambled eggs, 2x latte macchiato, 2x orange juice. Afterwards we were full until the evening 🥰😂

Am very disappointed. Just had lunch, I thought I would treat myself. Ordered a vegetarian club sandwich with fries. 10 minutes later a plate arrives with two slices of bacon over the fries. If you look closely, there is also ham in the club sandwich. Sorry, but especially when it comes to vegetarian orders, people should be sensitive to the fact that these people don't want to have corpse parts or killed animals in front of them. Really a disaster. The vegetarian plate was brought to me after another 10 minutes of waiting. But more grim than apologetic. To top it all off, the 3dl of tap water also cost an impressive CHF 1.90 Thank you Maron, but never again. Ciao.

The food (the soup) was nice, the service was severely lacking. The waitress couldn’t be bothered to even offer a menu - which we found out later was more than the little card of lunchtime ‘recommendations’ on the table that we had no choice but to order from. I’d avoid this place, it’s mostly for older people congregating for tea and standard (you can buy the same anywhere else) cakes.

👍🏼 Great options for foods, cakes, snacks, drinks, etc so it's nice to have a short break or enjoying the city because it has a big window with nice view - no blocking building. 👍🏼 Delicious breakfast 👍🏼 Spacious place 👎 The place seems (oftentimes whenever I'm there) busy, so the staff that handle you would seems "rude" but I think they're just hectic or in rush. 👎 Not a hangout place for me or working, it would be a bit too noisy. But this place is good for having a meal with your family or friends.

We have been going to Maron regularly for brunch for several years. Unfortunately today was very disappointing. We ordered 2 cake stands with very few things on them. We were also only asked what we wanted when we ordered. No one came to us for the next 2 hours. We also had to get someone to pay. For 95.- you would want a different service.

Sometimes it's good sometimes not so much. Very variable depending on the day and the mood of the workers. One day you will be served everything when sitting on the balcony, other days you have to go and get food yourself. Come here to read a book or study, hang out with friends for a Coffee or for a simple breakfast or afternoon date. The Coffee is good and the blueberry Gazosas are always a great refreshment on a hot day.

I have never been served as badly as here, the service employee was unfriendly, the order wasn't finished and she was already somewhere else...

The food is great, but dont eat here. The service is not good and the concept is weird. You have to pay for food at the desk and order drinks at the table from the waitress.

Magnificent establishment ideally located where we were able to try some delicious local specialties. And the welcome was most charming!

The best meal we had in Europe. We have been traveling for 23 days already and it was by far the best meal we had. Waitress was super friendly and the food was awesome. Prices were good too, comparatively speaking. People traveling to Chur should definitely try it out . I had the salad oriental. Very big portions, could be shared between two people. Absolutely loved it.

Always had only good experiences. Very fine baked goods and canapés. I ordered a themed cake for my dad's birthday. The cake looked amazing and was (not an exaggeration!) by far the best cake I have ever eaten in my life (the filling was Sachertorte). Absolutely great!!! It definitely won't be the last cake I order here :-)

Nice place - if you like a lot of exercise in the area, perfect! There is always something going on right next to the train station. A cozy table outside and there is always action 😃

When you look at the breakfast you expect good service - NOT at Maron. When we arrived at Maron, we sat down at a table directly outside. It was well occupied but still had a few tables free. Because of the wind this morning, we wanted to sit in the sun as it was very cool. The waitress's reaction was one of surprise. Just as we were about to change seats, the waitress came and placed 2 stacked plates with cutlery on the table for us. Instead of helping us put the dishes on the table, we had to do it ourselves. When we sat down at the new place, another waitress came and carelessly and hectically put the freshly squeezed orange juice on the table for us, as well as the cake stand with the breakfast we wanted. However, at such prices you would expect good service! It's a shame, at least the breakfast was good.

I often get something for lunch from Maron. I would particularly like to highlight the sales staff. Regardless of whether they are stressed because of a lot of people over lunch, I have never experienced someone being served in an unfriendly manner. You are usually served with a smile. Compliments to the staff! For me, the quality here is always right at a good price. The many different salads are particularly recommended. Keep it up. Thanks.

He told us that he once worked as a confiseur in Chur and got to know the Chur peach stones and of course made them. the man. I was still very enthusiastic about it, his wife, who was present, said she preferred salami 😀. what a great encounter that was! Now we have ordered these from you and are now looking forward to the “peaches”

Absolutely gorgeous place. Decoration is unique, clean and noble. Toilets are very clean and nice,too. Separate toilet for handicapped and nice changing table. Food is amazing and the presentation is beautiful and some very unique. Definitely our favorite place in town, with or without kids! Staff is super friendly,too! Dine-in or take out. There is a downstairs and upstairs and lots of comfortable and different seating spots! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Very reasonable priced as well! We left stuffed and not broke!

We took the Gourmet brunch for two. Service was ok but the brunch was WAY too expensive for literally 3 slices of meat and 2 small breads for each of us.. (we had to pay extra for another small bread, which really was ridiculous considered that we payed 56.- for the both of us)... Coffee/tea was not even included in the price only a small glass of orange juice...

This café is located directly opposite the train station and offers a lot of space on two floors. We had breakfast and it was delicious. The service was very friendly.

Actually, beautiful confectionery products are made here - for example an ibex made of chocolate. In the past, the ibex was also neatly packed in a suitable plastic box. Now we save on packaging and put it in a cake box, which is completely unsuitable. Even if the saleswoman probably took 5 minutes to pack the ibex and somehow put it in the cake box. Ultimately, a horn fell off either during packaging or during transport. This is just annoying. In the future I won't buy here anymore and would rather go to confectioneries that don't skimp on packaging for their expensive products.

My favorite coffee in Chur. Unfortunately I find the most expensive coffee and paying CHF 1.90 for 3 dl of tap water sad.

The Maron is always very busy and yet the staff is very attentive and friendly. It was a pleasure.

I'm not going to evaluate the part we see every day, but rather what goes on behind the scenes. It cannot be the case that employees constantly break down and cry during work, breaks or even outside of working hours. Employees are treated poorly and even hours are taken away from them without a good reason. If you then want to clarify the situation with one of the bosses, you are constantly told that you would look at it at a later date. If you ask for help with washing up (rush hours), you are almost viewed as incompetent. However, if the same person is told to help (even though they have another service), this must happen immediately. I had nothing against the Maron, but when you are in close contact with one of its employees and find out a little about what goes on there, you are shocked.

Lunch was rather average, unfortunately upstairs was closed and everything downstairs was full. The chef is definitely not in love, spices were missing

Very friendly and quick service with a full house. Excellent autumn plate and Sauser. What we miss with coffee/tea is a small sablé, nut cake cubes, whatever but that should be in a house like the Maron!

Traditional Swiss patisserie, lots of top quality backed and patisserie products and the offer goes from breakfast to lunch and tea time. Personnel is helpful and efficient. Will be back!

The place is not so bad but the customer service is a disaster. If you sit on their terrace and you want to have a coffee with a cinnamon bun they will serve you just the coffee. For the cinnamon bun I had to go inside the place order it and bring it back to the table on my own. As I asked the waitress why she can't serve the two products at once she said that she doesn't have time to go inside each time for each person. Nowhere else around the world I have heard about something like this. Bad management
