Martel in Genève

A rather strange place in its layout and not very welcoming. At 4:45 p.m. there are already no more pastries. On the other hand, the service was great!

Visit during a visit to Geneva, the service is fast but the pastries are quite "classic"...

Quality pastries and confectionery. Small choice meals. City center price.

I recently had a slice of frangipane galette without any taste of frangipane, too bad for me because the price was quite high. The service was okay.

It was crowded! It was 3 o'clock, so I think a lot of the cakes were out of stock. A delicious and casual restaurant

I had a breakfast package at 11.- A hot chocolate not wow, a squeezed orange juice (good but tiny). And two croissants which were delicious

Excellent place with a solid reputation. Indeed, Martel is a brand that has proven itself in Geneva through its age and the quality of its products to make a stop during the day because of the products found there. The chocolate and confectionery are delicious and always ready to be enjoyed.

Very pleasant waitress! Mint green tea a bit “light” for the price. Just a not-so-full cup and a few mint leaves. And too bad, very very noisy.

I've been coming here regularly for over 10 years, the staff is still so friendly! - delicious chocolates - delicious pastries (raspberry Bordeaux = my favorite) - top savory dishes, very nice for a midday meal during the week

Very good pastries, excellent hot chocolate, not too heavy :) On the other hand, a tasteless cappuccino, too hot and uninteresting, looks like coffee from an automatic machine, which is a shame. Noisy when there are people.

Have always loved Martel and been a fan for years. Sadly thry seem to have list that special edge that put them in front of everyone else though still good. Always loved the mini sandwiches.

Poor service, the waitress is really not respectful. I had a latte which didn't have a nice presentation, nothing was neat. It's a shame!

I bought a rum baba and a raspberry slice. The baba too sweet. And too bad they no longer make ham chiffonade and cucumber canapes. Best quality and priced sofas from all over the world. Fortunately it's far from moa's house....

The service leaves something to be desired

I have been going to this pastry shop for years and everything is remarkable. This winter I bought 3 galettes des rois from them and for me it is in the top 3 in Geneva. Sublime establishment and friendly staff!

She didn't clean the table or crumbs previous customers left. Professional window! She doesn't listen well to what I ordered.

And I'm nice... 0 stars is better... Quite nice staff... Mother and I each had a homemade chocolate and a butter croissant. The homemade chocolate was requested lukewarm, it arrived much too hot and we drank the best and rarely the worst. The butter croissant is ridiculous, small and the butter is put in a slingshot. In short, not good. For our part, and for these two elements alone, they are not about to see us again. Ah one more "detail", the tables are wobbly and the seats very uncomfortable, for a house like "Martel", it's borderline...

When in Geneva I love having my croissants café there. The croissants beurre are smaller than usual, but the taste is fabulous. With coffee and you dipped those fabulous croissants, mmmmhhm yummy ♥️

Convenient location, close to Cornavin station. Fast service in a pleasant atmosphere. Delicious chocolate delights. Don't sit near old ladies, they fight 😉

It's a great place since the establishment renewed its furniture and its look. Well done .

This was a quick stop to grab a drink after I did some major damage at Laderach. Diversifying my selection, I thought to try the in-house milkshake before purchasing some chocolates to go. The drink was decent. Nothing special. The server was very nice. However the service at the counter to pay was a little frustrating. The person taking the payments was obnoxious and flighty. I waited 10 minutes just to get her attention despite it not being a busy café. Maybe that's why it was not busy! Poor service.

Very good quality and lots of choice. Too bad for the very high prices, otherwise we would go there more often to treat ourselves.

The white-haired lady behind the counter is truly disrespectful! We only wanted to look at the cakes with my mother and the lady yelled at me 3 times, saying we had to order at the table. Once I tried to talk to her about her lack of respect, she clearly put her hand in my face and said “I take it from people, don’t you see” in a very haughty tone. We left without ordering. This person’s education needs to be reviewed! Trace your path.

The pastries are good but nothing more, the homemade hot chocolate has a too pronounced spicy taste. Impeccable and attentive service.

Friendly staff, unfortunately could not taste the pastries and chocolate, which must be, if they are like the staff, and the presentation deliciously incomparable.

Like almost all Martel branches, the products are excellent but the service is no longer what it used to be...

The people here are rude and arrogant, i ordered food and latin/Hawaiian girl who speaks french but is an immigrant was acting out. Came next to my table and chuckled after i asked for brown sugar, not to mention made fun of my english.

I went to Martel this afternoon I ordered a cappuccino and the cappuccino was really not good 2/10 I'm polite again I think given the price we pay for the cappuccino it's excessive. Otherwise I ordered a chocolate croissant, the croissant was good but very small given the price, not great.

When I want to take a little gourmet break, that's where I go, I have my delicious green tea with fujan jasmine, a slice of one of the best black forests in Geneva and I leave happy

One of the waiters spoke too loudly which was very unpleasant.

We came several times. The timetable on the internet does not correspond to reality. We arrive at 5:30 p.m., come to the table around 5:40 p.m. and say, not very gently, that they will close at 6 p.m. No fresh juices (“there are none”). Finally, it's the last time.

Polite and correct service that persists over time. With the Covid, implementation of Qr-code to scan when you arrive. The coffee is good, as well as the croissants.

Good taste but the lady in the cash was so not friendly and showed annoyed face when the client asked something. Above average bakery in Geneva. It's a chain and they don't have iced coffee. Personally, I recommend eclairs. The tall man who serves is friendly, but the cashier who appears to be the manager is very unfriendly. If you don't understand and ask again, he gets angry. Not a young vibe It's a bit of a gathering place for grandmothers.

I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream. What in Spain we call 'a Swiss'. The cream very good. The chocolate tasted too, but it was very liquid and clear. Not thick at all. It wasn't the 'Swiss' I expected to find in Switzerland, to be honest. The place is spacious and has many tables and a bar in the back. Accessible to everyone. Great variety of desserts and other dishes.

Over expensive Hot Chocolate at 6.50 that is milk and and sachet of chocolate powder that you have to mix it yourself. The deserts are ok. Look better than it taste.

Martel is a chocolate room or tea room? On the map it says tea room: choice of teas is very limited (2 black and 3 green) and not served in a teapot....not enough space between the tables.
