We chose the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my wife. Excellent and subtle cuisine, with very fine dishes. The sommelier has real knowledge and expertise to advise you on the numerous wines, probably one of the finest wine lists in Geneva. Ideal and warm setting. We recommend the Matière menu with perfect sequences of dishes. A real experience. A repeat without hesitation ! Thank you to the whole team for their professionalism.

A big thank you for this moment! We took the lunch menu in 3 sequences. Appetizers before starting. Simple and efficient! The plates were perfect. Very good value for money! Great work done on the wine list! They are perfect! Everyone will find their own bottle to accompany their meal! To do again without moderation!

I often judge the quality of a cuisine by the chef's ability to make me eat and appreciate products that I am not crazy about. This was the case yesterday at Matière with this celery ball which will remain the highlight of a 5-course menu. A cuisine of raw products mastered to near perfection, a wine list rich in discoveries and lively wines. Service like friends. We feel good there, we eat well. And we will come back!

This was a superb experience. Let's be realistic, living in Geneva is... on the expensive side. But I've never been bothered with the absolute prices as much as I have been bothered with the "value for money," especially when it comes to restaurants and dining out. Matière is one of the very few places (as in three-four maximum so far) where the value for money--as in quality of food for the price--is justifiable. The dishes are nothing short of exquisite. The service is excellent. The choice of wines (an important factor) is also fantastic. A true delight. Highly recommended.

The daily menu at 40.- starter-main-dessert was excellent. Lots of wahoo and mmmh from start to finish. Everything is very elaborate, aesthetic, with condiments and herbs which harmoniously enhance the dishes. I loved ! Ask for the wine list, just to avoid being surprised by wine by the glass at 13.-, very pleasant indeed.

Magnificent experience. Invited to dinner the day before closing for the holidays, we were very spoiled. From starter to dessert, we enjoyed ourselves and the wines offered to us were excellent choices. no false notes. Moderate prices considering the quality. I dream of going back there very soon...

Excellent experience for our first at Matière. A very professional team while being relaxed. Perfectly cooked dishes and in the right quantity (we had the 5-course menu). A very extensive cellar for an establishment that is only 7 months old. We will definitely come back!

Great gastronomic experience despite some imperfections. Very good ideas, interesting tastes. The cooking of the lote is mastered, it’s a pleasure! We didn't like the wait between dishes. Beautiful address that I recommend with pleasure.

My husband wanted to try this place for his 40th birthday. I didn't know it and it was a great discovery! The manager was good advice on wines and following my husband's gluten intolerance and the lady who also served us was lovely. We ate really well and I wanted to write a review because we see that they put all their heart into this restaurant and the result is there. This place deserves to be known. Best wishes

What a great discovery!!! Wow!!! The food menu is very limited, but definitely makes it an amazing experience! The quality of food, the taste, the presentation of the dishes is a 5⭐️ level. A great selection of wines and a better hospitality from the owner himself and his wife. They haven’t really worked on the interior decoration neither the atmosphere/ambiance, some marketing support and touch is needed to keep this not very well located restaurant a hit! Lunch with colleagues, there were 11 of us. It was the first large group in the restaurant, unique menu. Very refined cuisine, very good, service a little long and wines a little expensive but in return, the choice of wines is enormous

Exceptional. If we had known that we were going to eat so well... this restaurant doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but we had a blast. The dishes were delicious, the wine was very well recommended. We had starter/main course/dessert and it was perfect.

Very nice discovery! A restaurant which offers a very short menu but whose dishes are very well crafted. A 5-course discovery menu (chf 80.-) allows you to taste the very tasty cuisine of this establishment. Attentive service. Only negative point: the decoration, not in line with the concept.

Top-notch cuisine, tasty and original. We even had the chance to have lean prepared in 2 ways (the grilled neck and belly, in addition to the fillet on a plate), really a great experience and for a reasonable price.

Excellent surprise 😋: inventive cuisine, with perfectly mastered seasoning, impeccable cooking for fish, tender and not dry poultry, and meat. The very short menu apparently allows for good quality and freshness of the products. We hesitated to choose this restaurant because reading the description of the dishes we were a little doubtful, but a foodie friend had pointed out it to us as remarkable so we tried it anyway. He was right ! Behind the too modest “poultry, cauliflower, Cajun” of the menu, it is a marvel of balance with a cauliflower cream, certainly and also a delicacy of sharp cabbage, going perfectly with juicy and tender poultry…
