Matzendörfer in Aedermannsdorf

Food almost cold, service catastrophic and unfriendly. Were insulted by the chef because it was too annoying. (We were alone in the restaurant and talked at room volume)

One of the best schnitzels I've eaten. Everything is handmade, you can hear how the schnitzel is freshly beaten. The salads are also very tasty!!

Important for dog owners! Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant! I think it's "outside" by the terrace... Food was great and cheap. Is highly recommended. Gladly again

Somewhat remote and accessible via a gravel path. Accessible by every motorbike for experienced bikers. But I advise against it for new drivers. The climb is rewarded with a great view.

Very beautiful terrace which overlooks the valley and the rise of the Col de La Scheulte. Friendly welcome. Very good Schnitzel. The access road is gravel for 1 km. I recommend.

A very nice path to this restaurant, wonderful view. The map is promising and so is the facility, but not possible with a dog! Very sad !!! We walk with dogs in nature and can't even eat or drink anything IN THE warmth. Very, very sad... If it had at least been written about early on without having to crawl all the way up the mountain. In order to then have to go back without food or drink because it wasn't possible with the dog except on the terrace. But it was too cold for that because a warm meal in a cold wind isn't really enjoyable. Because when you order warm food you want to eat it hot and warm and not happen because the wind is so cold. It's a shame, it's a shame, people with dogs also have money but this money is apparently not wanted..

The restaurant is nicely located and the service is friendly. The street that leads to the restaurant can hardly be described as such anymore. Motorcyclists ride very poorly on this route and the bike needs to be cleaned after the ride. But as a hiker it's a worthwhile place to strengthen yourself.

Hier hat sich einiges verändert. Die Wein— und Speisekarte sind sehr vielfältig und doch übersichtlich. Der Hamburger war ein Traum, die Salate frisch und knackig. Die Produkte sind regional, sehr sympathisch. Die Aussicht einfach gigantisch.

Die Bedienung ist für mich das Wichtigste. Das war ausgezeichnet. Freundlich und gewitzt. Und das Eis ist dort super. Ein richtig rassiges Eiscafé. 😊

On the weekend you should register for dinner - when the weather is nice there are always a lot of people there! The inside has been renovated, good food, nice staff, beautiful view of the Guldental, popular hiking routes

Great place with a fantastic view

On the recommendation of a hiking guide, we planned a lovely day out to the Schelten Pass with a stop at the Matzendörfer Stierenberg mountain restaurant. Parking at the Scheltenpass and setting off in the fog at -1°C and icy winds. About 100 m before reaching the mountain restaurant, the outlines appeared in the fog. Full of joy for a delicious refreshment, we stand in front of the entrance door with a sticker: 'No dogs allowed'. There was no notice on your homepage while you were planning your trip. Even at the Scheltenpass, where you advertise the mountain restaurant on a large sign, there is no indication that dogs are not allowed. We then switched to the Alpenblick restaurant on the Passwang Pass, which we can now highly recommend.

Great food, absolutely lovely host couple. Highly recommended for everyone. The cheese fondue is great. Ps: everything else too, of course.

Ich gebe 100 Punkte für den Empfang dem Essen und dem Service.Die Renovation vom Matzendörfer Stierenberg ist gelingen.

Das Essen ist wunderbar, wie auch die Getränkeauswahl. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis super. Terrasse und Toilette sind rollstuhlgängig und Parterre (Erdgeschoss). Das Restaurant ist über eine lange, relativ steile Treppe erreichbar. Allerdings mit zwei starken Männern, kam ich auch dort hin mit dem Rollstuhl :-).

Were here by motorbike. We liked it. We will be back

Durch Zufall habe ich dieses Restaurant besucht. Wie schon erwähnt, sensationelle Aussicht und währschaftes Essen. Leider sind Hunde im Restaurant nicht erlaubt (auch solche bringen Geld), aber im Sommer sind die Vierbeiner in der Gartenwirtschaft willkommen. Ab 4.12.16 Winterpause

If the Ürsu and s'Tatii have been able to do this for a long time, the Stierberg will be great for you. The restaurant is really cozy and has a lovely atmosphere. I absolutely recommend it. I'm sure I don't want to let you have anything. :-) Thanks for the nice fondue top. Greetings from fools
