McArthurs in Lenzburg

Great pub for food and English football, best Guinness we have found in Europe so far! Indian curry was tasty here too. Friendly staff. (From Mags Nephew and friend. :).

great place, great staff & a welcoming atmosphere. i’ve been travelling europe for a couple months and mcarthurs pub poured me my best guinness by far to compliment a fantastic meal!!! (from friend & mags nephew :) )

I actually wanted to take photos of my food. But when it was served to me (Burger Surf&Turf with incredible fries), it looked so delicious that I immediately jumped on it. And wouldn't be disappointed. MEGA delicious! TOP price-performance! GREAT ambience! Friendly service! For that reason alone, a visit to Lenzburg is worth it (well, the castle isn't without it either).

Absolutely nice Irish pub! Mega home-made fries and delicious burgers! The one star deduction only because you are not served at your seat and have to go to the bar yourself. But that in itself is a small thing. I can absolutely recommend the pub! We really enjoyed coming here!

I am Almost every Wednesday there, the service and Ambiente gives you the exactly the Pub Feeling you be looking out. 10/10 would recommend. Don't forget to order a Sirup at the end of the Day!

AWESOME PUB! The staff is extremely friendly. They speak German and English. The atmosphere is unique. Many different age groups and characters meet in this bar. In the back area you can play darts or billiards. The food is prepared quickly and is of top quality.

Very fast and pleasant service, a fun place to hang out or get to know each other. Many English speakers get together. There is a TV where the torrent is watched

The food was ok, but nothing more. It reminded us of chain food and didn't taste like it was freshly prepared.

I've been to many pubs in England and I can say that in this one in Lenzburg you really feel like you're there. Constant premier league is great too! Please keep it that way, it's exactly the same in England. Food is good, service is nice

Cozy pub in Lenzburg, for dinner we had McArthur pie with haggis, nips and tatties, it was excellent.

Overpriced, not fine. Service was great. Didn't feel professional. I won't eat there again. The prices are also a bit too expensive. The only good thing: the portion of fries was generous.

Super cool pub with a great host. There is a good selection of beers and a very good selection of delicious food. The only thing I would complain about is the very high prices for the food.

Our fav pub around Lenzburg, I’m not a big fan of chicken nuggets but I must say they have the best ones I’ve tried, they offer great sauces which makes them very tasty. They are always open to play on the tv the futbol games that we’re interested to watch and the staff are always easy going.

Three friends always go there to watch football games. Just like yesterday Athletico against Real Madrid. So I joined, as I have done in the past. Pub wasn't very full for a Sunday evening, which was good for us as we were able to take the best seats. Since the boys had already eaten there (burgers) and I hadn't, I decided on England's No. 1 National Dish Chicken Curry Tikka Masala and a Guinness with it. The lady behind the counter was very, very nice and collected the money straight away. The food came beautifully presented (curry, naan and a small salad). It's a shame I couldn't take a photo because I was too hungry. It's a shame that there were 5 large pieces of chicken, smaller and several would be better in my opinion. Sauce was very good and the ready-made naan was quite okay. So I liked it that way

Chilled Irish pub with good food, suitable for the location. Always worth a visit to end the evening with colleagues and friends. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. There are regular sports broadcasts.

Always friendly and nice. There is always something going on and you often meet long-lost acquaintances.

It's a nice place to have some drinks in the town, there is always a good atmosphere in general. They are right by the corner of my house, and it always looks lively and full of joy. Fair prices for the area. Have not tried the food myself, but I have heard from my friends / family that it is actually nice. They are always open even when there are events in town.

Very good restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Usually requires a reservation. Lots of benches with parasols outside. Food also TOP!

At 2 p.m. on Thursday there wasn't much going on. Enjoyed my Nordic beer very comfortably and pleasantly on the terrace at temperatures of around 25 degrees. No Irish music on the terrace but a good Irish feeling.

On this wonderful Sunday the weather took me to the beautiful canton of Aargau. Not far from the train station - surrounded by beautiful buildings - I saw this magnificent pub. After a "warm welcome" I was offered a cold beer and the extensive - but not too large - menu. After a great recommendation from the bartender Robin, I decided on the vegan burger. The patty, which was homemade as advertised, developed into a real taste explosion with the other fresh ingredients. This delicious burger was enriched with a small salad and a portion of fries. The fries, also homemade, were also convincing across the board. All in all a great pub, with great staff, fine food and a great atmosphere. I'd love to come back!

Best pub far and wide - it was a reason for me to move to Lenzburg. Whether watching football in peace or drinking with friends, McArthurs is suitable for every occasion. Very uncomplicated, as payment is classic at the counter. Tip: Haarige Kuh's in-house Pale Ale/NEIPA is world class - a nice addition to the standard pub range of beers.

Really nice interior design, good vibes and the staff is friendly. You can bring your friends here or even bring a date. But only 3 stars due to everything being overpriced…!! A joke really!

The Manager is an incredibly incompetent and aggressive person. His answer to my 1 star review is a joke (look at my other reviews, that are mostly very good), according to his disrespectful behavior during a our conversation. He even wanted to attack me physically and threatened me to hit me. Well done dude, you are a hero and a good person 😅. All my friends and contacts will never ever visit your place. You are so arrogant to even think we would ever want to go to this place again…good luck and remember: karma is real, deal with it. Food and drink selection top. Unfortunately, the noise level at Fullhouse is rather loud.

Cool Irish / British (?) inspired sports bar with typical food (burgers, wings, pies etc.) and various screens with live football. Unique in the region. The only star deduction: prices are rather high. We paid CHF 17.80 for 2 large beers, which is quite a lot. But the prices apparently aren't a deterrent, Wednesday evening without the Champions League, and the bar was full to capacity.

All tables at 7 a.m. reserved 3\4 not occupied…. What a sad, small-minded pup culture! To be fair, I have to add that I didn't know that at Quiznight. Found a place and the food was great as always 👍.

Cozy pub in the old town of Lenzburg... Selection, ambience, food and service good... Prices okay... The only drawback when the pub is full is the noise, you can hardly understand each other at the table... otherwise I'll definitely be back again worth a visit...

Typical, rustic pub, wings and co. plus the H.m. sauce served with it was really good. Thumbs up in terms of cost. Portions are plentiful! Ambiance is a bit old, but in my opinion it suits. Clean and the staff “eeeasy going”.

Very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately that evening when we visited it was very loud. There was a sports broadcast (soccer league game) which may have contributed to the noise. The food was delicious - as always - but unfortunately the promised pie was rather dry and not quite as exquisite as promised ;) The selection of beers and snacks as well as finger food and main courses is very good for an Irish pub. The technical equipment could be improved a bit more, but in a pub with sports broadcasts they made the best of it, I don't really expect anything else in a pub!

Very easy to reach, whether by car or public transport. There are enough seats inside and outside. Here you feel a bit like you are on vacation. With fish and chips and a Guinness the world looks different. But the other things are also highly recommended. The only strange thing is that you can't pay in pounds. The staff is very friendly, attentive and organized. Very happy again and again!!!

Short visit to Lenzburg and thus to McArthurs. We received a friendly welcome with a dog in tow. Order at the counter. 10 different beers to choose from with good advice. Food was fish and chips with salad. Price for Switzerland in the normal range. Clean, fast and cool, as befits an Irish pup. If we come to the tranquil Lenzburg again, we will find our way there again. GRÜAZI

It is very rare that an Irish pub can offer very good cappuccino. The solution is a Franke machine with very good beans: Blasercafé. Even cafés in the old town in Baden, Aargau, can only learn from this Irish pub here in Lenzburg what a very good cappuccino is. And if that's the case, I'm absolutely excited to see what the beers here taste like. - I'll be back!
