A perfect place to stop off in cool, cloudy autumn weather. The dining room is old, cozy and furnished with a few stylistic aberrations. A rustic ambience that is rarely found in restaurants today. Since the Métairie was packed and fully booked, we only had the option of eating a cold dish or a fondue. We decided on the fondue because the Gruyère cheese is homemade. We really liked the tasty cheese fondue, but unfortunately the white bread that came with it was old, dry and very brittle... What a shame.

Miserable service, we had a cheese and sausage platter. Drinks lukewarm and non-carbonated, cheese brittle and dry, bread was a sandstorm, pearl onions soggy, the mustard was more than 5 months past its expiry date, and terribly unsympathetic service! Conclusion: never again! I knew the restaurant as a child over 40 years ago and we went there regularly, it's depressing what bad tenants can do! A pity!

Swiss style restaurant. Almost all food is homemade. The cheese that is produced right in this restaurant by the owner of this restaurant deserves special attention. Inconspicuous from the outside, but the package with aperitif, dinner and overnight stay was a hit! The horse entrée with the super-fine homemade Rösti was great! Huge meringue with lots of cream was also delicious. The rooms are hard to find, you have to go up the driveway and take a staircase to the corridor of the rooms. All rooms are beautifully finished with light paneling, old dark beams and a small bathroom with shower in each room. The rich breakfast was also impressive.

Were there recently and actually wanted to enjoy a fondue in the afternoon. The lady told us very abruptly that there would be no fondue before 6 p.m. We then ordered vermicelles. What we received was simply an imposition. Conclusion: You are not welcome in the Rägiswald. The service is miserable and arrogant. We'll never go there again. Thank God there are numerous other métairies in the region for which the word hospitality still has meaning.
