What can I say! Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. This is truly an amazing hotel with the nicest staff I have ever come across. Anyone working at this hotel would always go the extra mile and be too delighted to help. Great location very close to ski lift (2-3 min walk). Cannot recommend enough, I will be back for sure!

This hotel is a family owned and work family staffed classical Swiss hotel. It has a limited number of rooms - about 25 (?). It is a few minutes walk to a ski shop with a discount for hotel guests with equally excellent expert equipment and service. Minutes walk from the ski lift. Our room was renovated, clean and cosy on the 4th floor with a slanted ceiling and a balcony giving us a DIRECT and spectacular view of the Matterhorn - see photos. The breakfast and dinners in the restaurant are delicious and attended by friendly and homey professional staff. Ski room had boot warming racks for everyone, spa area (indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi) was very relaxing, clean and neat. They had all the personal touches added, including a complementary 4 minute electric taxi ride to the station with a little bag of Zermatt-made cheese and sparkling water bottles for the just under 4h train ride back to Geneva airport - spectacular views on the way. We absolutely loved it.

Incredible hotel with good Matterhorn view. The staff were super friendly and gave a lot of great recommendations. They always greet you with enthusiasm and you could feel that they genuinely care about your experience. The breakfast is also amazing. Location is great - short walk to one of the lifts and quick bus ride (or 10-min walk) to another lift.

Be sure to stay in a mountain view room. If you open the window in the morning, you can directly see the Golden Matterhorn. The hotel service staff are all very kind. I highly recommend this accommodation option in Zermatt!

OK-OK, we are aware that quite a few people will not be aware of that pun, but still, it doesn’t diminish the fact that the food in the Metropol Hotel restaurant was surpsingly awesome!Frankly, we expected that the food may be nice, but for the price we got gigantic quantities of high-end, ”luxurious” food, for example the biggest piece of entrecote (and most pieces of king prawns) we have ever eaten in a single go in our lives. This combined with the matched expectation of the taste being nice resulted in a pure win in our books.If you stay there, definitely don’t miss out, otherwise you may need to wait for this COVID-19 situation to quiet down and for the hotel’s restaurant to open back up.Oh, and a special shoutout goes to the staff member Stefi, who was very attentive and was just a delight through our couple of occasions eating there!

Nous venons souvent à Zermatt et c’est définitivement le meilleur hôtel ! On téléphone depuis la borne et un charmant monsieur vient vous chercher et s’occupe de tous vos bagages. A la réception, on vous accueille chaleureusement et vous informe de tout ce qu’il faut savoir. La piscine est grande et bien chauffée, il y a même un jakuzzi pour terminé de se relaxer. Le restaurant a une très belle carte des vins Valaisan et à très bon prix. Nous avons très bien mangé et nous avons, encore une fois, été très bien servi. Le patron est au petit soins, il se soucie de votre bien être et veut être sûr que tout ce passe au mieux pour vous ! Le restaurant, la piscine et la chambre (21) ont une vue à couper le souffle ! Vous êtes constamment à coter du Cervin et pouvez l’observer à chaque moment. C’était magique ! Merci le Métropol et à bientôt :D

Hôtel proche de tout. Le personnel est super accueillant et la nourriture excellente. Le spa n'est pas immense mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut.

Hotel un pò datato ma pulito e con personale gentilissimo. La nostra camera family era con vista sul fiume e il Cervino, bagno grande con vasca doccia. Colazione a buffet non fornitissimo ma sufficiente x una buona colazione. Lo consiglio come base x le escursioni o le giornate sugli sci.

2013年8月11日にマッターホルンを満喫したいという夫の誕生日のディナーに訪れました。シーズン中ということで、事前にメールを通じて、誕生日ディナーとして訪れたいこととバースデーケーキの依頼を兼ねた予約メールを入れました。メールのやりとりから非常に丁寧かつスピーディーな返信で、安心して予約ができました。当日は拍子抜けするほど人がおらず驚きましたが、その分、心尽くしのおもてなしをしていただきました（私としては夫との二人の静かな時間がいいなと思っていたのですが、終始ケアをしてくれたのはとても嬉しかったです）。席は夕焼けのオレンジから夜に沈むマッターホルンを眺めることのできる素敵な場所でした。この日はに晴れていた日で、少し雲がかかった幻想的なマッターホルンを眺めることが出来ました。料理はチーズフォンデュ（私達には少し塩辛かったかな？）とチーズの盛り合わせ、メトロプール特製サラダ。少ないかなあと思っていたらボリュームたっぷりで半分以上残してしまいました。せっかくケーキも準備してもらったのに、すでにお腹満腹で一切れしか食べられず・・・お恥ずかしながら残ったチーズ盛り合わせとケーキは包んでもらってホテルで翌日、美味しくいただきました。サービスはすばらしい！ですが、人があまりいなかったせいか、サービングの方がしょっちゅう来られて、そっとしておいてくれたら嬉しいなーとおもうことも。でも誕生日とのことで、オーナーご夫婦が最初から最後まで明るく迎えていただいたのはほんとに嬉しかったです。
