It was a pleasure. It's a shame that Michaela won't be running Ilge for much longer. She is an absolute hit.

We spontaneously became aware of this gem via Google Maps. We got two nice places without a reservation, and our dog was also very welcome. The service was very friendly. The chef personally served the delicious greetings from the kitchen. We had a seasonal salad with apple and caramelized walnuts and, as a main course, beef loin from the Simmental, herb butter, risotto and vegetables. The meat was on point, the herb butter tasted excellent, the risotto was perfect and the vegetables were very harmonious. It was a pleasure.

Best Italian restaurant in Switzerland. Michela, the chef, is friendly and the best chef that could receive us.

A very nice unplanned discovery. The lunch dishes are succulent, cooked with finesse, with very good flavors. Impeccable service, a quadrilingual chef full of energy and good humor.

We were very excited about the long-awaited visit to Michela's Ilge. The reviews promised a lot. The overall experience, however, was - as is unfortunately so often the case - far from what was expected. A dish was only available once, which wouldn't be a problem. However, at 8 p.m., you have to ask yourself whether the shopping list was kept clean. The nut salad with egg was visually appealing, the egg was on point. Nevertheless, there was hardly any taste for the creation and the price was almost dramatic. The Zürigeschnetzelte should have been the best in the world, judging by the price, unfortunately that wasn't the case and a few hours later my stomach booked an extra round. The atmosphere is rather rustic and the noise before closing time came as hard as a slap in the face, via baby monitor or mobile phone. Hospitality is different! You have to be made of special wood to feel at home there. Well, maybe we were just unlucky. We'll probably never find out. Nevertheless, they asked for a lot of money

The fine restaurant in the old town of Arbon. Our favorite: seasonal salad with caramelized pumpkin seeds and pumpkin oil as well as Simmental beef loin with herb butter, risotto and vegetables.

The food was excellent. The Chef is very kind. The staff is fantastic and caters even for the impossible things. This small restaurant in the historic center of Arbon is highly recommended. Thank you so much.

Amazing food and beyond friendly staff. Super glad they were able to seat us even though we arrived late in the evening. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious! Probably the favorite dinner we had while traveling along the Bodensee!

Michaelas Ilge is a small Italian restaurant with 13 Gault & Millau points in the Altsatt of Arbon. Viewed from the outside, the restaurant is not particularly impressive with a small terrace on the edge of the alley. A quick look at the menu is enough to enter and ask if a table is still available. Since the weather was uncertain, we preferred to eat in the restaurant. The ambience is not special, but still cozy. Since the restaurant also serves as a gelateria, people come in every now and then who just want to buy an ice cream to take away. The menu is not very extensive, which makes choosing easier. Above all, you should follow the recommendations of the charismatic boss Michela. We decided on a Taglio de Manzo (entrecôte), which the boss braised for two people in one piece and cut into slices before serving so that the meat remained juicier. The meat was delicious and so were the vegetable side dishes. The wine list is not very extensive but we found a very good Ticino Merlot that you can order by the deciliter. For dessert we had homemade ice cream from the gelateria, which was also very good. The service staff was very friendly and attentive and the boss Michela took very good care of her guests. We can only recommend the restaurant for a fine Mediterranean-style dinner.

We were very lucky that our hotel’s restaurant was closed today and we had to look for something else. This place is amazing! The chef is so passionate about the ingredients, and everything she makes. The antipasti was fantastic, didn’t get a better plate anywhere in Italy. The mains were great - the steak is perfect and people who went for the other dishes (homemade pasta) were very pleased as well. Lovely service and atmosphere.

The tables are beautifully set, the reception and service is very warm and familiar. The dishes were all delicious. At this point I recommend the homemade ricotta ravioli, mhmmm...

Supper good, excellent, everything was fine

The food was incredible! You could really tell the chef had a clear vision for how she wanted her restaurant to be! Her recipes are very much her own (pasta is homemade as well), and she really knows how to make them look and taste delicious! All the staff members were so lovely and genuine! The chef personally came out to all of her customers throughout the night and was more than happy to help us non-German speakers with the menu and to recommend her favorite meals to us. My sister and I have spent the past (almost) two weeks traveling all around Switzerland and we never thought a quick stop for dinner in the little town of Arbon would be one of our absolute favorites!!

For lunch we had soup, a small, delicious salad and for the main course (amazing) homemade fish crispy with boiled potatoes and a tartare sauce. Everything tasted very good. Very cozy outside when the weather is nice. And very friendly service. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

A little Hüngerlein, oh that looks good and clean. Immediately recognized: There is really delicious food here. The Hüngerlein turns into hunger and rabbit ragout with creamy polenta, I can hardly resist. A fine glass of wine from the large selection and a fresh joie de vivre pushes away all worries in strange times. Thank you everyone for a wonderful culinary experience!!!

Good food takes time... High-quality raw materials are processed into the finest and outstanding dishes, from amuse-bouche to dessert. A very good espresso rounds off the dinner. The staff is friendly and flexible. The boss (cook) cooks with passion and freshness. She is also happy to take the time to answer questions and suggestions after the service. If you go out to eat at “Michelas Ilge” you should have time and leisure. This is how you can really enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Gladly again

Ich hatte am Montag 01.03 Geburi und wir holten den Wochen Hit Ghacktes mit Hörnli und Salat und Dessert. Also das isch ja de mega Hammer gsi. Wir haben dan am See ( Corona ) auf einem Bänkli die feinen Sachen genossen. Wir würden wieder zu 110 % wieder was essen. Lieben Dank für das feine Take Away.

Ich war zum ersten Mal in Michelas Ilge, hörte aber seit Jahren viel Positives. Dank des Lockdowns ist im Moment Mo-Fr für Mittagsmenü-Take-Away geöffnet.Mir hat es sehr geschmeckt und ich hoffe darum, dass es wieder einmal vegane Sachen auf der Karte hat, damit auch ich das Restaurant unterstützen kann. Alle Anwesenden waren ausserordentlich freundlich und gut gelaunt. Gutes Durchstehen!

Excellents plats de pâtes fraîches avec des recettes inédites, mention spéciale pour les spaghettis au ragoût de chasse, cacao, raisins et pinions. Beau choix de vins suisses et étrangers. La salle est simple, joliment décorée, accueil chaleureux. Lors de notre venue, un seul serveur hyper efficace devait assurer le service, ne prévoyez pas de manger en 10 minutes (ça fait aussi du bien)

Dîner à deux dans ce restaurant extrêmement sympathique, ambiance chaleureuse, décoré avec beaucoup de soin. Quelle belle surprise d'être accueillis très chaleureusement avec la patronne qui maîtrise parfaitement le français. C'est aussi Madame qui est aux fourneaux. Elle nous a concocté un repas absolument excellent avec des produits très frais et locaux. Par ailleurs, la carte des vins propose d'excellents produits de la région. Toutes les glaces sont maisons.

Wir gehen eigentlich immer, wenn wir in Arbon weilen, in die Ilge zum Abendessen, nach längerer Zeit waren wir im September wieder dort, und, wie immer, es war die reine Freude, einfach nur ein Genuss, sowohl die Tagliatelle mit Pilzen, wie auch der Risotto waren herrlich zubereitet. Ein besonderer Genuss, die Pouletbrust im Kräutermantel, ich habe bisher nie ein derart gute Pouletbrust vorgesetzt bekommen, herzlichen Dank an Michaela in der Küche und das ganze Personal, welches uns sehr gut bediente, wir werden mit Freude wieder in der Ilge einkehren

waren nach einigen Jahren wieder einmal hier essen und wir haben es nicht bereut. Die Speisekarte ist relativ klein aber wechselt regelmässig. Die Speisen sind weit über dem Durchschnitt, die Preise sind ok und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Im Sommer kann man draussen sitzen und nimmt ein wenig am Altstadtleben teil. Für mich das beste Restaurant in Arbon.

Eccezionale, cibo di qualità, cortesia e personale che parla Italiano. Diverse alternative di menù. Prezzi in linea con quelli del luogo. Anche la pasta è davvero buona. Infine la cheesecake amaretto e mandarle è stata una vera squisitezza. Personale parla italiano inglese, tedesco. I menù sono in tedesco ma potete chiedere suggerimenti ed indicazioni sui piatti senza problemi. Locale molto caldo ed accogliente.

Ich esse regelmässig in der Ilge zu Mittag. Ich schätze das reichhaltige und täglich wechselnde Angebot. Die Speisen sind sorgfältig und gekonnt gekocht, der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Atmosphäre über Mittag lebhaft. Ein nicht zu grosses, persönlich geführtes, richtiges Altstadtrestaurant, wie man es sich nur wünschen kann.

Tolles, kleines Restaurant inmitten der Arboner Altstadt. Die Speisekarte wird jeden Monat angepasst und dementsprechend wird immer auf saisonale Küche geachtet. Das Essen ist sensationell und man merkt, dass hier mit Herzblut gearbeitet wird. Man sollte sich aber genügend Zeit einplanen.

Eigentlich -1 Stern Wollten gestern dort Essen gehen,2 leere ,für 4 Personen eingedeckt,Tische ,wir waren nur 2 Personen und sollten uns irgendwo dazu setzen Ganz schlechter Services zumal die Tische NICHT reserviert waren . Wir werden da nicht mehr hingehen!

Questo ristorante è davvero da consigliare soprattutto per la qualità dei prodotti , cucina semplice ma gustosa. La cuoca è italiana e cucina pasta fatta da lei, la carne è buonissima. La nota positiva per gli italiani che parlano italiano. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e questo non è male visto che siamo in Svizzera

Gute Mittagsmenüs, preislich absolut im Rahmen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Küche absolut Top, wird auch gerne mal was neues ausprobiert.

Sehr schmackhafte, italienische Küche! Hier gibts alles andere ausser Pizza. Sehr schön in der Altstadt gelegen. Zum See sind es nur wenige Gehminuten. Die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet. Ein Besuch bei Ilge lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.
