We ate with a friend for lunch at Minotor. We ordered spaghetti with vongole and a Neapolitan pizza. Both dishes were very good. The service was excellent. We were served by Ms. Antonella who was very helpful, pleasant, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere for a lunch is very nice. The decor is also pretty and not busy. Exceptional experience. We discovered this place while walking through the central streets of Geneva. A few steps from the plainpalais square. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were struck by the attention to detail of the place, an elegant steakhouse, finely furnished, clean and decidedly particular. We ate a spectacular black angus steak accompanied by French fries. The rib is served with a hot stone attached on which you can continue cooking until it is to your liking. The selection of wines and the desserts prepared by the chef close a magical lunch, a note of merit for the cheesecake (the crumble that accompanies it is divine) and the tiramisu. The Italian chef makes the added value felt in every course. Highly recommended place, we visited it on a Saturday and immediately after lunch you can take advantage of the flea market to take a nice walk.

I celebrated my birthday this Saturday in this restaurant. Bad experience ! First of all it's the heatwave inside, it's impossible to eat, even though the dish is good. I had asked in advance if I could bring a cake, which they accepted, but they made me pay 42.- for the cake which had not been mentioned before. Not to mention that they kept 4-5 slices of cake. On top of that, the lady doesn't know how to do her accounts, she threw our receipt in the trash before we paid, which we never do in a restaurant. Having miscounted, she asked me for 170.- more, raising her voice knowing that the whole amount had been paid. This evening she collected the sum of 900.- She speaks poorly to her colleagues in Italian and to us (my guests and me), unfortunately I have studied Italian for 4 years.

She refused to recount the total when we told her that she had made a big mistake in the accounts and demanded 170.- more from us, shouting. First of all, infernal heat in the room (not air-conditioned), it must have been almost 30 degrees inside (and to think that the bottles of red wine on the menu are placed on a shelf, knowing that there has beautiful bottles, I can't imagine the state of the wines!). Next, the service, although the waitresses were friendly, they were totally overwhelmed and clearly missing an extra person. The meat is good, nothing to complain about, the accompaniments at 5.- are a little light. And once you put 4 hot slates on the table, the temperature went up another notch, to the point that we ate dripping hot... it was really unpleasant to the point that we had to get out of the restaurant to get some fresh air! (It was 28 degrees in Geneva that day). Otherwise, the prices are exaggerated in relation to the service. Fortunately we had benefited from a 50% voucher on the meal, but it was not worth more. It’s a shame because the concept and the place are nice but there are a lot of things to review. Personally, I won't go back there again. Eating in a furnace, very little for me!

It is also perhaps due to the fact that the owner have changed since 2021 from understanding! Nevertheless, I did remember an amazing place the last time I can in 2019…. Think that the previous ratings that applied to the previous management should be removed as it they only can be considered as fake, now. In all cases, I highly not recommended this restaurant as the price paid is not worth any cent of it and they even served me uncooked bone marrow which is to the best of my knowledge quite dangerous! Should have perhaps contacted the health authorities… White wine list a la carte proposes only three bottle with each a price above chf 200 which is non-sense! Last time they were seeing me! To be fair they had one extra that was offered for chf 70, but looked cheaper than a chf 5 bottle at Denner. Seriously, the worst part is that We had a 40% voucher with BuyClub, so imagine, if I had paid 100% for this nightmare ?! There are lots of good steakhouses in Geneva with better meat quality and even cheaper prices, feel free to contact me for their names! Lastly, this review is shared and approved by the three other guests I was with! Only regret… is that we can’t put 0 star here! Simply avoid and let natural selection take care of this restaurant!
