Unfortunately, Nidlechueche is more appearance than reality. The entire box stuck to the mold and the taste wasn't really convincing

Very good selection and also open on Sundays. But they were stressed and took it out on us as if we could help it! Also a huge theater because of upstairs, either it's open or it's not and if there's space downstairs you're not allowed up! Such nonsense! Staff is simply a disaster! Was here for the last time!

More to see than to be convinced by the taste. Unfortunately the Nidle cake was disappointing. Where is the wow factor or a taste explosion? And 7.50 for that?!! Coffee cups also just under 5s. You had to pay extra at the counter and drinks were available from the menu at the table. Later, stand in line again next to the card payment machine. Better pay in cash! Otherwise nicely furnished in old style. But the prices don't work at all.

Warm and stylish place. Top service! Avoid rush hours. Ideal for relaxing, reading in peace or chatting gently. Service possible on the first floor also.

Worth every cent. Always good. Simply comfortable. Very friendly service.

Drinks quite expensive. No Schöggeli in the cafe. Why? Prices have been raised. Mineral in bottle 6.20 CHF. Tea 5.40 CHF. Service is moderate, could be nicer, actually better in 2021/22. Food expensive but fine and looks very nice and fresh. .Ok, you don't have to go there. But voila. If the café costs 6 CHF, I won't go there anymore.

One of my favorite places in Switzerland. Many times during my bicycle rides around Lake Neuchatel and Murten/Murat would stop and refuel and get a coffee. In addition would bring visitors up from Geneva for lunch and coffee afternoon out. Great pastries... especially the Nidlekuchen and sweet nut tarts (cannot remember their name). Visited again today....still lovely. Note recommend order your pastries then grab a table to order your coffee separately 😀.

Good patisserie but way too expensive!! Drinks too!! You have to laboriously pay for everything by card inside, first the patisserie, then later again for the drinks. Still waiting in line :-(

The croissants were nicely browned but not cooked inside, a little disappointing for the price.

Caution: Absolutely horrendous rip-off prices. 0.2l still water for the junior: CHF 4.50! According to recessions, this was an incredible CHF 4.20 6 months ago. Inflation probably sends its regards... Strawberry tartlet CHF 8.00… Well, if the service was at least top class: The lady at the counter was unfriendly and unmotivated. Drinks with the desserts had to be paid for separately by the colleague and then, because the “table lady” was never there to collect, it suddenly worked. Serving nozzle at the tables: hardly German, rarely seen. Quality mediocre Location would be cool Absolutely not recommended!

Great cafe in the heart of Murten. Fine confectionery and pastries. Depending on the number of visitors, it can be very loud and unpleasant in terms of noise. In summer and in the off-season there are also a large number of places outside where you can sit on the terrace

Wonderful place. Fantastic food, great quality and home made. The salon was quite full, we had to share the table. The tee was very good and the staff is very friendly. Very good prices.

Was in Monnier for the last time today. A serving daughter who can barely speak German, exorbitant prices, sandwiches, the toast rolls are very dry. And the light like in a waiting room.

Good quick meal and excellent desserts in this tea room/pastry shop in the beautiful main street of Murten. Excellent assortment of both sweet and savory, friendly staff. Prices average for the area, therefore high.

I knew that prices are higher in German Switzerland than in French-speaking Switzerland, but paying more than 26.- for a tea, a coffee and 2 small very ordinary desserts is a bit exaggerated. The price labeling in the window is not understandable.

The place is beautiful, the decoration is rustic and the atmosphere is nice. There are lots of drinks to choose from and they are very good. There is a lot of noise in the establishment when there is a lot of people. The property has a terrace.

Confiserie Monnier is a must when we're here, but unfortunately it wasn't that great last night, the boss didn't say hello and the service was snippy and didn't ask, my husband wanted a teapot and only got one cup, so we ordered 2 cups. It's a shame, the price-performance ratio wasn't right yesterday.

After purchasing my bread in addition to having drunk a coffee accompanied by a treat, I am super disappointed given the price of the quality and freshness of the bread, pain au chocolat, dry and tasteless. Badly advised regarding leftover bread, allergies, employees do not know the products they sell.

Classic tearoom/patisserie. Best to visit on Saturday morning.

The best pastry shop/bakery in Murten. The quality costs something, but it's a great pleasure to linger there and enjoy your morning off. And always friendly and competent staff.

I have rarely had such a miserable dining experience as last Saturday. (we weren't the only ones as many got up and left unattended during that time) I don't know what was going on at Monnier's that day, but that was the bottom drawer. Breakfast an odyssey... 1. Service only came to the table after 15 minutes. (yes there was a lot going on, understandable) 2. Croque monsieur are on the map, Waitress had to go and ask if they were still available. No order was taken and no one was seen for another 10 minutes. 3. Order is taken There is no Croque Monsieur... 4. Another 10 minutes later we get Croissants and bread, but only one place setting even though there are two of us. 5. NOW! We are informed that warm drinks (coffee and cocoa) would take longer at least 15!! Minutes waiting time. If you want something cold, that would be much quicker.... (a beer was recommended to the table next door....) Another 5 minutes pass until butter and jam follow. (without being asked which variety you would like) Another 5 minutes later the egg is brought. After another 10 minutes it really became too stupid for me. We got up and left. I have never experienced anything like it. Not the first time Monnier, but definitely the last time! PS: one star is still too good!

We pass the window full of bees and the missing kindness. Prices are not displayed. A ham croissant, a finger-sized brie sandwich and a turkey balloon: Fr 19.50! Obviously, no ticket to see the details.

Fig cake is really delicious! Coffee too! The cream and pastries are perfect and they are friendly. The store is also pretty🩷 There are also salmon and beef sandwiches that can be eaten as meal replacements.

Decorative furnishings like from another time, pleasant, hence the atmosphere. Very friendly staff complete the pleasant atmosphere. The delicacies are all very appealing to look at and of course also to eat. Only the cherry cake seemed very overpriced to me. In Zug you get a lot more cake and they are the best there.

Coffee was great, served without biscuits. Patisserie as you would expect. Prices generally too expensive.

Price/performance not okay. The Nidlekuchen was disappointing. There was somehow too much salt in the dough? A pity. You have to pick up pastries inside and pay for them, and you have to order drinks outside and pay inside as well. Funny. However, the service was very friendly. But that doesn't change the fact that next time I'll eat the cake again with the competition.

Poor price performance, poor selection.

Lots of selection of patisserie. Visually great, taste okay. Unfortunately, I find the price-performance ratio to be unsatisfactory. A small cup of tea cost 5.20 CHF and the dessert (left) cost an impressive 7.50 CHF.

The pastries and food are very good. However, the prices for a small 0.2 liter water glass at CHF 4.2 are far too expensive. Especially if you have breakfast with children who don't drink coffee. If you extrapolate that to 1L, you're at CHF 20.5, which even makes all restaurants in Zurich seem inexpensive...

Monnier is really great. Very beautiful, magical patisserie and sandwiches. Pretty/tasty cakes and tarts. Small sandwiches to eat! Everything was really nice and good. In Bern and Murten: pleasant locations with friendly service. Really 5 stars!

Monnier - oh dear! The Federal Palace is empty - because everyone is crazy - your Makadamia Peaks are the pinnacle - to be sure, hit it like a pig, no matter your diabetes level - that's a must.!!!

The products are all very good and the window is really tempting... Unfortunately, the service is not up to par. After waiting 15 minutes for our order to be taken, it arrived incomplete. A little effort would be welcome on that front.

Bread very fine, service very nice, sandwich and minerals very expensive. Sandwich about 7.- with a thin slice of meat. 33cl drink water or cola 5.60! We skipped dessert straight away.

Unfriendly service. Card payment only possible at one location at the counter. Way too expensive. We paid Fr. 29.00 for two latte macchiatto and two small tarts, around 5cm high / 4cm in diameter. You only know what you have to pay at the end, as there are no prices written anywhere on the counter and there are no price lists on the tables. The selection is huge, I was almost a little overwhelmed. Do you really have to be able to choose between more than 30 different things?

Probably the best café in Murten. Very expensive but excellent patisserie. PS: the raspberry tarts are highly recommended in summer.

The chocolate éclaire are a real dream...not exactly cheap visits here, but simply particularly delicious. Gladly again.

I went to an intimate meeting with a group of entrepreneurial women ☺️ we had a very exclusive reception as well as the attention. Best of all, our waitress 💁 spoke Spanish. A good place to go for tea.

Even though we live 100 km away, we take every opportunity to visit if we are even remotely close. In our opinion, there is no other confectionery shop that offers such consistently high quality across the entire product range. Of course the products are not cheap. But anyone who appreciates quality knows that it (unfortunately) has its price. We feel very comfortable in the café. We're happy to accept that you'll have to wait when there's a big rush of guests, because we come here to enjoy ourselves and not on the run. ;-)

The products are good but expensive. I'm stuck to the chair with my clothes on. We wanted to experience a cozy coffee chat, unfortunately the blonde, long-haired waitress aggressively argued with someone else. So it was anything but comfortable. A pity.

There is one star for the service. This was very friendly. Everything is completely overpriced! More appearance than reality. The tarts look great but the filling is anything but tasty. More layers of dough than cream and therefore dry and not particularly.

Overloaded staff on this beautiful sunny day

A very pleasant store that is spacious enough to be able to shop while keeping your distance!! The staff is polite and willing to respond to customers who request them!! We feel that they are run by a competent director!! In this center there is a pharmacy, a restaurant and a kiosk!! I go there every week with pleasure!!!

Excellent pastry shop! Visiting the splendid Murten under the arcades, visiting shops, we saw the Tea-Room Monnier and were immediately attracted by the windows with pastries of all kinds. We decide to go in for a good snack, we order cappuccino, a chocolate and a Chinese jasmine tea. Good service, pleasant and unique place. Friendly but a little careless staff. When paying we asked for a glass of water and they forgot, then we asked for it and finally we even had to wait to pay, which is why I'm leaving 4 stars. The pastry shop was excellent, prices expensive but normal for the area. We will be back to try other delights, thank you!

Beautiful tea room, great ambience. My daughter loves the chocolate mousse. Great iced tea. The same employees for years, which says a lot about this company. Friendly, clean, just good.

Offer and quality are generally very good but not exactly cheap either. Unfortunately, on our last visit we waited in vain for over 15 minutes for the overwhelmed, annoyed waitress. Other customers also tried to pay during this time without success. The response to another query from a customer was something along the lines of "I don't have 4 hands and legs". If you are not able to serve so many seats, you should limit the space available. (When using the toilets, the aforementioned waitress was happily talking to the staff in the back area instead of serving customers). Apparently there is a lot of catching up to do in terms of service.

The service was friendly, the prices were high. Unfortunately, people were literally stuck with the outdated chairs. My jacket, which was hanging on the arm of the chair, was stuck so tightly that paint residue remained on the chair and unfortunately also on the jacket. The employee washed the chairs regularly, but if you imagine that you are wearing an expensive dress or suit and can only get away from the chair by tearing away, visiting this coffee shop is not advisable. Too bad 😏

After 30 minutes and 2 times the waitress was called and not answered and not served. Otherwise nice outdoor area and nice restaurant.

I bought a Nidlechueche for friends. Was dry and boring. A pity!

Pastries were good, but rather expensive. What is not possible, however, is the so-called “boss”. There were four of us there, two of us were wearing trousers. The yellow leather chairs stuck to the pants so much that when I got up, a yellow print was visible on both of them. The yellow chair has also been immortalized on jackets and handbags. When we spoke to the serving staff, they referred us to the “boss”. Who reacted rudely, extremely unprofessionally and angrily. This is not how you treat guests and this is definitely not how you handle a complaint. (The chairs that were available were cleaned/scrubbed with soapy water by the staff during our stay, which suggests that this is a known problem). I really hope that dealing with guests will be better in the future and that the manager just had a bad day... Maybe a solution will be found for the coating of the chairs.

Very unfriendly service, an absolute no-go even if the food and coffee are good

The pastries/patisserie are, as always, fine and delicious. The prices are accordingly on the expensive side. The furnishings are nice but the seating is cramped and is definitely getting old.

The cappuccino was good. I had a whole wheat croissant. It was very greasy and you didn't notice any whole grain. It just had some linseeds or something similar on the outside

Far too narrow, we (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler) barely found a place at a table that was far too small. Prices are excessive for patisserie, which I honestly expected more from. The decor is nice, but unfortunately you can tell that children aren't really welcome - especially among the mostly older guests.
