Wonderful place. We were up there in the dark, and in a snowstorm, what an experience.

Magnificent view of part of the Alestch glacier and the Matterhorn! At the beginning of December, the place is accessible by first taking the cable car, then going up the ski slopes, either in hiking boots, on skis or even on snowshoes. We did it in shoes, and we must admit, the last few meters were physical, but it was definitely worth it!

It's so beautiful and relaxing up there... Even though I felt a wave of sadness seeing the state of the glacier, I did enjoy a moment of reflection. The views are amazing and there are many paths and benches to discover. Additionally I truly loved that the lift manager came to tell everyone that the last ride was in 5mins, although I wouldn't have minded being stuck in such a gorgeous location.

Beautiful view over the Aletsch Glacier. Because of its height you can also see very far, the Matterhorn is clearly visible from here on clear days.

It is a first-class scenic spot that can be easily reached by railway and cable car. The transportation cost is reasonable, and the trails are not difficult to walk. You can walk up or down along the ridgeline, and the scenery along the way is magnificent. On the newly opened Geologysteg geological trail, in autumn, colorful alpine plants line the original narrow mountain road, which is very rare. There are also wide snowfield trails that can be traveled in winter.

Nature is unique. Unfortunately very overcrowded.

The guide was friendly and the villages you pass through on the way up were very pretty, but depending on the weather, it may be impossible to see them.

Very accessible and incredible viewpoint of Europe’s largest (and perhaps most spectacular) glacier. Take the chairlift from Morel up to 2000 meters. There are multiple options from there to go higher up the glacier or head back down along the glacial valley and take a different chairlift back up your starting point. Incredibly, this is not a major tourist attraction and many places have limited (or no) English.

A beautiful place. Just enjoy. Pure feast for the eyes. Mountains and glaciers, combined with peace and quiet. Enjoy a fine drop and an Eringer bratwurst at the Buvette-Kabinli. Simply great. 👍💪💪👍

When the weather is nice, there is also a very good view of the Aletsch Glacier.

The all-round view is great. We had great weather. It was nice that we could still look at the glacier.

You enjoy a fantastic view of the Jungfrau. You can go up on foot or by cable car. There is a bar at the arrival of the cable car.

Spectacular view of the glacier even if it tends to retreat more and more. The cave under the ice is also interesting even if there isn't much left and it will disappear soon. Take the opportunity to visit it while it remains alive

From Moosfluh station there is a beautiful viewpoint. It is an ideal place to linger for a while and enjoy a magnificent view of the Aletsch glacier and more than a hundred peaks such as the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Dufourspitze. Then walk back down to Riederalp west to take the cable car

A fantastic and stunning work of nature. A beautiful trip, not quite physically demanding. The important thing is to hit the weather.

Beautiful view, unfortunately the glacier gets smaller every year. There was a school class there and the teacher or glaciologist explained how quickly the Aletsch Glacier has shrunk in the last 30 years.

All the views of the Aletsch glacier are magnificent, this one is no exception to the rule.

Came for the Aletsch half marathon weekend. We stood in awe of the Aletsch glacier, and also sadness that it is shrinking rapidly. Easy hike from Bettmeralp. Cooler temps at the viewpoint, good to have a light jacket at hand. We walked onwards toward Bettmehorn - the routes are easy to follow for a circular hike in summer.

The price listed is expensive, but I got a discount with the Swiss Pass. I feel the greatness of nature. I think it's worth a visit at least once if there's a discount.

The Aletsch Glacier seen from the Moose Plu Observatory was so beautiful.

A fantastic all-round view... The glacier in particular is impressive and, for me, exudes a deep sense of calm. Up here the Matterhorn even seems a little closer to me than from the village of Bettmeralp... Highly recommended, I love it here...

Unique and espectacular scenery in this beautiful glazier View. I recommend to plan the scenery walk to enjoy to the fullest. I have done it Just a few days ago in Winter and the past Fall. Both season gives you amazing colors and views. If you like skiing is also a Great area for the family. People in hotels are fantastic.Transportation is excellent like a Swiss clock. Check for prices and hotels availability. Enjoy it !

The first time there for me. The glacier under a blanket of snow. Everyone there was full of enthusiasm. The ski slope over there is very tempting. In the summer I want to walk back and down a bit.

Directly from Riederalp up to Moosfluh in the Sesseli-Gondeli combination lift and, when the weather is nice, the best view of the CH 4000 and the Aletsch Glacier

There are three places with views of a glacier, in my opinion the best angle of photography for the long glacier

There’s a snacl bar where you can grab a beer pr simple snacks. You can dtart hiking from here to the glacier closely. A beautiful point

A lovley weather, excellent view of the Aletsch Glacier from Moosfluh. There are hiking & bike tracks. Do take note of cable car timetable. UV ray will be strong up in the mountain.

Whilst not as popular as it's neighbour a trip up to this being point to see the merging glaciers is well worth the trip. We took the Morel cable car then took a pleasdnt walk over to the gondola l ft to the viewpoint.

One of the most beautiful pieces of nature in Europe. It's a shame that the prices of the lifts have become so ridiculously expensive. Tip for this: Go to the Bettmerhorn, where a one-way ticket costs 'only' ~18 Francs. Walk from the Bettmerhorn to the Moosfluh Bahn and from there either on to the Riederfurka or down towards Bettmeralp or Riederalp. After this walk you have seen most of this area. The walk takes about 4 hours if you take a break along the way. If you go to Bettmeralp or Riederalp, you can have a drink at the Chüestall (beware of the prices there, very expensive) or just sit at the blausee. 4 stars because of the absurd prices these days.

If you are on Riederalp, you should take this cable car to the top without being served. Beautiful view of the Aletsch Glacier.

Superb view of the Aletsch glacier, numerous hiking trail departures. The prices for the ski lifts are quite expensive, around 70 CHF for the round trip. Be careful, the last cable car to go down is at 4:30 p.m.

Beatifull view from the tongue of the Aletsch glacier and a beautifull walk towards Bettmerhorn. Goes uphill, so not for absolute beginners. End at the panorama restaurant. Views are staggering.

Fantastic experience to see a glacier from this panoramic view. We went up with the funicular from Riederalp and made the descent on foot enjoying the path and the views over the glacier passing through the forest on the slope!

Went there on a whim, was definetly worth it, the price is reasonable and being early made it super nice as there was no other people around! Had fog in the valley and nice sun uptop.

You can't really feel like it's a glacier because you can only see it from afar, but you can see a truly amazing landscape. If you get the chance, renting a bike and enjoying a downhill ride could be an unforgettable memory.
