I didn't find a place to eat anything.

The service is terrible. We asked twice for milk for tea and in the end we had to go get it ourselves. Same thing for the invoice.

Every time I've been there at least one dish has been wrong or forgotten. The waiters don't talk to each other: you tell one that some dishes are missing and after 5 min. another waiter asks if everything is okay. The last time there was even a confusion with the payment, to the point that the waiter didn't remember that he had already made us pay. It's a shame because the food is good and the place is beautiful.

2 lukewarm short Francia with 4 olives and 3 mozzarella while listening to the staff swearing from stress... all for 28 fr. Let's not know any more!!!

Ultra satisfied with the service (thanks to the guy with his pointy mustache), big smile, very helpful, excellent cocktail recommendations. The burgers are good too, fries good, meat cooked correctly. Count between 40 and 50CHF per person. But no disappointment!

It's a nice place, centrally located and with a nice cocktail menu. Ideal for an outing with friends. Unfortunately the service is extremely slow, regardless of time or day. I recommend going there only if you plan to stay for a few hours and have no plans afterward.

We wanted to eat there but were ignored. Drunk visitors had priority. After waiting for some time we left again. Bad service.

Not so bad quality but could be better. We had “chinoise” but the soup was not hot enough, the fire cannot keep temperature. Meat was tasty.

We reserved a table for dinner for more than 10 people. Some ate the chinoise while the others (including me) chose a dish on the menu. The waiters brought broth and meat for those eating the chinoise while leaving the rest of the table to watch them eat. After 20 minutes the other dishes started to arrive, staggered over time. In short, it was like everyone eating on their own. The waiters forgot my dish. I pointed out the forgetfulness to them and they admitted that they forgot my order. If the first ones started eating at 7.30pm, I started at 8.20pm. What perplexes me is that no one apologized to me and everyone pretended nothing happened, including the head nurse who was aware of what had happened. Really bad!!

Why torture yourself in the piazza grande? There is a cool tapas bar with a young, local crowd. very fine food in wonderful dishes, beautifully presented and affordable!

Food quality has improved significantly again after a sharp decline about a year ago. Excellent choice and special meals. Very good new fish burger and Ramen. Cocktails are particularly excellent, the Gins with a wide choice. The only flaw is that the outdoor area is very noisy. Prices appropriate to the quality offered.

Local, nice but very chaotic. We went to eat one evening, very good food, very professional staff, perhaps a little "slow" but understandable since it was very full with customers already. Too bad the music was too loud and it was very annoying while eating.

Simply great Every time we are in Ticino we eat at MOVIE, whether in summer or winter. In summer it has a large terrace with good music. Large food and drinks menu with fair prices. But above all a huge selection of premium gins. When it comes to eating, there is a large selection of top quality Japanese dishes. The Shabu Shabu (Japanese fondue) is particularly a highlight. It's very tasty and unique, I can only recommend it. The staff is very attentive, nice and helpful. My mother has various allergies and they were very understanding and clarified everything professionally. Thanks to the MOVIE team, we’ll be happy to come back

The location is beautiful. Unfortunately, however, the staff was distracted and took them 20 minutes to serve a bottle of prosecco. Plus they didn't even clean/sanitize the table. Some chips would also have been appreciated.

The food is quite bad. The burger is ok, Sushi is average bad and the vegetarian options like hummus are not tasty at all...

On the positive side, the food is very good. But what surprises us is the interplay between the style of the music and the furniture of the outdoor area. Both the music and the furniture seem tasteless and cheap. If you open your eyes and look at the surroundings and especially the building PALACINEMA, "a palace for the cinema", then you can only say, people, you have to improve. Locarno definitely deserves better! The whole building radiates so much modern classicism that one should seriously think about style. Regarding the music style, which is played there... what has progressive house to look for in a bar and restaurant in this stylish environment (Castello etc) and then still in this volume?

Apart from the waiting time for a beer and the bill. The past evenings...a very uphill road...plus I had the joke this evening...I arrive and ask for a table, they kindly let me sit!!! As per normal practice... the problem comes when I ask to take the order! I'm sorry we don't serve drinks anymore....so what the hell did you make me sit down all nice and nice and then tell me this??????I boooooooo

Very bad place...bad food... bad service

I really had a great time. The cinema is fantastic and the food is really good at the restaurant. The quality of the sushi is excellent, even though it is quite expensive it is really worth it. They have a very vast and interesting menu, I have always enjoyed it very much. Congratulations, everything is excellent!

Der Saal ist sehr gepflegt und schön dekoriert.Die 3 Menue (zur Auswahl) waren ausgezeichnet.Die Verantwortlichen sowie das Personal ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und haben ein gepflegtes Erscheinungsbild.Wir waren auch anlässlich des Filmfestival zum Mittagessen im Restaurant und haben auch dort das Essen genossen - Chef und Personal sind sehr nett.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nice change to the Italian food that we had for 10 days. Fast and attentive service. Fast amount of choices - something for everyone.

I returned after several months, just to have an aperitif. I was shocked, the bar is FULL of minors drinking alcohol, the waiters never check IDs. Next to my table, so to speak, there were 15 year olds and 14 year olds, they were talking to each other about middle school. What a shame, I will continue the problem if the situation does not change.

Il Movie è da sempre una meta d’obbligo di quando passo a/da Locarno. Si trova sempre un’ottimo ambiente oltre ad una buona varietà di cibo e di bevande sempre di indiscussa qualità. Da poco il sushi, sempre buono e molto fresco, è entrato a fare parte dei miei piatti preferiti, soprattutto le Poke bowl: squisite!Ad accompagnare le belle serate, soprattutto il fine settimana, è la musica suonata dai diversi DJ che si alternano dietro alla consolle. Un punto di miglioria? Ogni tanto, vista la quantità di clientela, è l’attesa nell’ordinazione e dell’arrivo della pietanza/bevanda ordinata. Ma questo non toglie di sicuro le mie 5 stelle! Complimenti a tutti coloro che rendono questo locale un posto speciale. E sono sicuro che migliorando il punto sopracitato, diventa ancor più un locale di qualità, capace di distinguersi dagli altri locali in centro paese. Bravi!

Had to wait one hour for my burger while my colleagues already ate their meals. In the end the burger buns tasted like they were open in the kitchen for 3 days.

Aufgrund der vielseitigen Menükarte haben wir uns sehr auf das Sushi gefreut. Jedoch mussten wir sehr lange auf das Essen warten, welches schlussendlich nicht gut war. Der Reis war pampig, es hat nicht frisch geschmeckt. Wir werden hier leider kein Sushi mehr essen kommen..

Sia in take away che sul posto. In una bella giornata di sole si può mangiare fuori. Il sushi, così come gli altri piatti giapponesi è molto ben fatto e gustoso. Non abbiamo apprezzato il gelato al té verde (forse una ricetta diversa??).

Nice place, but terrible service, forgotten orders and 30 minute waits for an Aperol spritz. We would also have liked to eat, but given the trend we went to the nearby kebab shop. They offer fish as a vegetarian aperitif. I won't be back for sure. Too bad about the place.

Nice place kept very well, but if I have to wait an hour to receive an aperitif, I would say that staying at home is more comfortable. I asked a waiter if he could bring me the menu, his response was: "I'll send my colleague to you straight away". In the meantime I went to eat a falafel 50 m away, I came back and the menu was still not on the table. In fact, my friends had to go and ask for it at the counter. You do the sums.

Nur ein paar Meter vom Plaza Grande gelegen findet sich das Movie mit einem gemütlichen urbanen Aussenbereich und abendlicher Chill-Out-Musik vom DJ zum stimmigen Apero. Sommer in der Stadt mit speditiv, zugewandtem Service und leckeren Kleinigkeiten zum Wein.

Tra amici abbiamo deciso di provare il sushi. L'idea è stata buona! Personale gentile e sorridente. La chiusura del cinema ha permesso di sfruttare l'atrio e, considerata la serata di pioggia, la location è stata veramente una bella sorpresa... Da rifare!!

Very good sushi. Unfortunately the music was very loud, making conversation difficult. Furthermore, other guests were very noisy, loud discussions that the host didn't manage at all and which made the evening really unpleasant.
