Good food, fish & chips are highly recommended and the tacos are also good. Beautiful location on the Reuss with a great view of the Chapel Bridge. Short waiting times for the food, nice staff.

Was there for the first time and never again. Had a beer and the house burger. After dinner I wanted another beer. The glass was cleared away, but I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else. After 15 minutes I called the waitress, she just said she would be there soon. Sorry but a NO-Go now has to go to another restaurant to wash down the food with water. Too bad the burger was bad for Ned.

This is an English pub not irish. Nachos were not the best I have had. Not enough sauces and cheese. In a gloopy ball not spread evenly Nice staff and good selection of both food and drink

Stopped by for a drink while I spent an afternoon in Luzern. Staff was friendly and Magna was super awesome. I did not have any food, but I would definitely go back to try it. Great pub to hang out in, have some drinks with friends, and watch some futbol.

Excellent atmosphere, food and drinks selection. We were delighted to find a real-English pub and it was very detailed and accurate. Prices are rather high, but that's Switzerland I suppose.

After a long Sunday on the slopes, we were exhausted and looking for a comfortable place to have beer and dinner. This was not it. We both had back fatigue so we sat in a booth There were plenty of tables and it wasn’t very busy but they made it a point to come and chase me out of that table to a smaller one because the booth we chose was for bigger parties. Now, I can always understand that on busy nights but the crowd on a Sunday evening in Lucern is not such that they need multiple empty tables for large parties. They knew that but seemed more interested in being right than making a customer happy. I had a beer and ordered food for my wife but this was a huge disappointment, especially when I had to go to the bar and order. Seems this place has great potential but they are missing it on the easy stuff. I would rate the atmosphere good, comfort bad, service is not a priority and food, looked like typical pub food. Lots of other places to try. I doubt I will be back.

Typical pub atmosphere. You order drinks and food at the bar. You are served very quickly and you don't have to wait long for your food. It's always pretty crowded. If you like pubs, beer and Guinness, you'll definitely be in good hands here.

Great pub in the centre of Lucerne, overlooking the river. The food was so good that I came back a second time during my brief stay in Lucerne. Friendly, welcoming and warm; perfect for a solo traveler looking to find something comfortable and cozy. The prices are decent and there's a good menu to choose from; both food and drinks. It can get busy on the weekends or if there's a sporting match on, but pop in and check it out.

The fish and chips are a disgrace, just a plate of grease. The atmosphere is a bit too Mallorca or playa las Americas, if you're a bit drunk it's fun! Nice people behind the bar!

Terrible customer service. Staff was so rude and made us feel bad for being there. Questions were responded to with annoyance. Terrible and spend your money elsewhere.

Second rate food at 5 star prices with horrible service. Wife and I walked in and were barked at by the bar back. He asked what we wanted and we asked to see a menu as if he was inconvenienced. When ready, he insisted we give our order to another server. Placed an order for fish and chips. Tiny portions of food that is not great with prices that border on extortion. If that sounds good, enjoy. We would avoid it at all costs. There are too many good restaurants in the Lucerne area to waste money here.

We sat outside by the river since the weather was perfect while enjoying beverages. We both ordered the fish and chips which were delicious!

Stopped here for lunch on our visit to Luzern. Ordered few beers, Burgers, fries and veg burger. They have seating both inside and outside. We order the food at the counter and they serve it at the table. Burgers were very tasty. Service was good.

It’s a perfect place to sit beside the lake and have a beer during a warm day, we ordered fish and chips and drinks, Rafaa - who served us was very service oriented. All in all is a great place.

Best pub far and wide. Run by two very competent and always friendly ladies (Yolanda and Ramona) who know how to motivate their employees every day. The restaurant is always in a very clean condition. The quality and selection of the pub food is outstanding and it is always fascinating to watch how this small kitchen brigade (led by Rosa) prepares the sometimes enormous number of orders of food in a very professional manner and with a lot of love. As is usual for a pub, every guest (whether local or visitor) is tapped with a fresh, well-chilled beer from the large selection at normal prices and served with a smile. In addition, the location with a view of the water tower and Pilatus is of course priceless. Dear Pickwick team, thank you very much and keep it up!

Good place to take a break if you are in Lucerne. It has tables outside so you can eat by the water and see the life of the area; or go inside and eat with football and that in the background. The dishes are generous and the prices are within normal limits for the area. The nachos were quite generous, so when they brought out the burger I think it was more for a larger group or snacking, we couldn't finish it all! The burger itself was very good, and they have quite a few to choose from. And the tacos themselves were not as good as I expected, but they weren't bad either. We wouldn't mind repeating!

The bar has two environments: the interior, which is cute and well decorated; and the exterior, which has a privileged view of the Kappelbrücke. Service is good and the selection of beers excellent! My homemade fish and chips were also very good!

Perfect location for a lunch and cold beer while strolling around Luzern. Prices are appropriate to the location, beer selection is great and my burger was really tasty as well. If you catch the table with the view on the bridge than you have spot on lunch/dinner in the centre of the city.

It was perfect meay and salads. Loacl beer is also good.

Stayed at the hotel, quite small but just right for 1-2 people. Stayed on the 4th floor in a room with a balcony overlooking the river, the view was phenomenal. Area around the hotel is pretty safe, mostly tourists and nationals. Food was alright, I ordered a burger with chips; the burger tasted average, but the chips were just right.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. We pay for drinks and food at the bar and then have to bring all the drinks plus the cutlery to the table by ourselves. We were even told that if we’d like sauces, we could come and get it, and then bring it to the table ourselves, which is not reasonable for the price we paid. At least we would expect that the staff would bring everything to the table.

Great British Pub, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they had to close early because of a group of rude and disrespectful guests, the staff were professional and dealt with it very well in my opinion.

We only drank a Guinness and it didn't taste as good as in the other pubs. It was also extremely expensive.

Really really fun pub right in Lucerne! The atmosphere is like a pub you would see in a movie! Lots of beer options on tap and mixed drinks/wine as well! Bathrooms are very limited and small but other than that the place is fun!

I stayed one day. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. I was able to leave my luggage in my room and check out by myself so I could get an early start. Enjoyed a drink by the water before picking up my luggage and leaving.

Unless you want to pay Swiss prices for a starter size mains then that’s the right place.

The restaurant is right along the Reuss River and is quite picturesque in this area. However, the food is way overpriced for basic dishes, like hamburgers and fish and chips, not to mention the beers were at CHF 9.70 (about $10.80). For the two dishes and two beers, our total came to CHF 71.20. You must order the food at the service counter when you enter the restaurant. I don’t know if any sign mentions that one has to order there. There is outside seating by the river. We sat inside the restaurant table, thinking a server would come by to take our order, but of course, no one did until we asked a server, and he said we had to order by the front counter.

What you would expect from a British pub, order and pay at the bar, food comes to the table later. Service is quite quick, large selection of British, Irish and local beers. However, prices are typical for Switzerland.

Unlike the reviews shared earlier, we had a very had experience with this place. Food was below average ( including the fish n chips) and extremely expensive, even in Swiss standards. There was one dish named "Rajmahal Curry or something". The curry served with the dish was cold and felt like it was simply poured in from a refrigerated pack. When we pointed out, they just took it and heated up in Mwave :). Other than the tacos ( which were decent), everything else was bad and tasteless. Service was below average too. Most of the servers ( barring few) seemed rude and perhaps had a racist attitude to non-caucasians. ( I cant be sure but we all felt it)

This restaurant is right next to the river Reuss and has a nice view to the chapel bridge with outdoor seatings. It’s an awesome place to enjoy food with a view. And the burger was really tasty. You get to use their free Wi-Fi as well. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Luzern.

Great location. Good service. Fish and chips was pretty good. Two pieces of yummy fish. Murphys battered chicken was really tough and dry. Avoid. Guinness hop house 13 was not great; better stick with the original. I know, why would I even think of ordering such a thing...

Great bunch of people try the Bombardier beer

We ordered the food from the bar and was served quite promptly. The food is not bad... Taco is good. The wings are a little too salty though. Kids love the fish and chips. But I think the service can be better. As we have 3 small kids so I have asked for serving plates, but the waitress actually asked "Do you really need that? We don't normally do that." Ultimately she still serve the sharing plates but I felt it was quite rude of that. I have ordered nachos, taco, fish and chips and rings&wings for sharing. Would it be so difficult to at least get some plates for the kids?

Nice pub in itself, only the barkeeper was very unfriendly when ordering in the evening and when he was tapping the beer he reached deep into the glass with his fingers, which would actually be a no-go in service.
