Murrayfield Pub in Chiasso

Excellent aperitif with appetizers and beer.

This place is friendly and fun. Don’t listen to Google Maps there is a tunnel that leads you right next to the pub from the train station. Look for the chalk “pub” sign and head through the tunnel and turn left, you are there! Note the kitchen closes at 2pm for the afternoon.

Quite possibly one of, if not, the, best pint of Guinness I've had outside of IE. I always try at least one when I get to new regions/countries. Most places don't even know how to care for a Guinness pour (cleaning, lines, pressure, etc.)

Simple and nice place, in good Irish style. Good food, friendly staff. Personally I gave 3 stars because I don't like the possibility of paying only in cash (extremely limiting). It's a shame because otherwise I would go back much more often.

Almost 30 years of history, typically Irish-Scottish furnishings, wall of killer scotch, whiskeys and Bourbons, with even some Japanese gems; vast choice of classic, craft and refined beers with a good number of taps and well-stocked fridges; good cuisine in its simplicity! ALSO VERY GOOD MUSIC, WITH BOMB EVENTS AND CONCERTS!

Once seen a concert and it was quite tight and the mix wasn't that good. Other than that it's a nice place for some beers with your friends. Pints cost more than the usual (around 8/9 francs) but all other beers (cans or bottles) goes for from 7 to 5 francs. They accept euros too and that's a plus for me!

Legendary pub in Chiasso for more than twenty years now. Always faithful to its style of Irish pub, a place where you can taste various types of good beers on tap (primarily Guinness), it has a vast choice of good whisky... on weekends they also organize excellent concerts from time to time. On quieter evenings it has a welcoming atmosphere with low lights, all perfect for a nice evening with friends!

Pub near the border with Italy with low prices and a purely Irish atmosphere. The venue is very nice and often hosts different kinds of events. Drink prices are lower than average, however I felt the choice of beers was less than other pubs. If you live not too far away it is definitely worth going. However, I believe that better pubs can be found on Ticino soil. However in Sottoceneri for quality/price it is certainly the best. The presence of local and international bands was much appreciated.

Historic pub where you can find a large selection of spirits and various qualities of beers. Local and international live music, from emerging bands to great artists. Cuisine also for vegans, but limited to burgers, sandwiches, wraps, platters,... Recently renovated. A real Pub worth visiting.
