It was a really pleasant surprise to have found such excellent coffee in Locarno! Truly delicious coffee and very dedicated owners who source for the best beans from Bolivia. I dare say the coffee is even better than many others you can find in Zurich. Very warm service and took the time to chat with customers. Place is small but cosy and has everything you need and more from a coffee place. I hope to come back to Locarno again so I get to drink this cuppa again! For anyone in Locarno looking for the best coffee, this is it.

A lovely hidden gem for coffee in Locarno. The best flat white I had in Switzerland. The owners are super friendly and charming, and even recommended cafes to check out when they learned we were heading to Milan a few days later (we did and they were spot on!). The owners really know their coffee and it shows. They also roast and sell their own beans. Highly recommend!

Superb quality coffee — I admire owner’s passion bringing Bolivian beans to the world, when I arrived they closed the cafe, packing for Lausanne but they still made me a pour over. I was driving from Montagnola so it was one hour drive for a coffee and a bag of beans, but it did not let me down. Didn’t encounter any other roastery in Switzerland that is on same league, it was beautiful

I was in Locarno for the Film Festival and looking for good specialty coffee and I found Muyu! Fantastic place with super lovely people. I went there everyday, did a testing and brought back with me 2 bags of coffee to Greece. Sit, sip and listen to their story. Looking forward to come back!

A stylish place with a diverse and delicious coffee selection! We quickly got into conversation with the friendly owners Vanessa and Yann; you can immediately see how much they enjoy their work. It's great that Vanessa roasts coffee from her home country of Bolivia 👍It was a great trip. We also enjoyed the instructions we received on how we can properly prepare the filter coffee we bought at home. Thank you, we will definitely come back.

Best coffee I’ve ever tried! Each drink is carefully crafted, with very clear taste from the coffee bean, more than I tasted anywhere else. Cascara drink is also super refreshing! This place alone is worth visiting Locarno!

Visiting Locarno without going to have the best coffee that you can find around Ticino canton, means you have not actually visited Locarno. This hidden gem within the walls of the old city, on a quiet small street, just few minutes away from the main attractions the old city offers, is the place to start and end your day. Coffee is absolutely fantastic, grown, roasted and serve with true love for the craft. The owners, a beautiful couple are probably the most welcoming people you will ever find, ready to share with your the (beautiful) story of their coffee beans whilst meticulously preparing the coffee of your taste. Please, don’t put sugar in the coffee :), so that you can taste all those flavors integrated in the coffee bean during the roasting process. We had an wonderful time and (this is by no means hidden promo) left with a bag full of coffee buying a pack form each of their offering. Can’t wait to go back home in Lausanne and taste it. The name of the coffee in Locarno is Muyu.

Simply Amazing! Very warm welcome and for sure one of the best, if not the best coffee I’ve ever had! You can see quality is placed above all, the coffee comes from Bolivia and is freshly roasted in-house in front of your eyes. Came back with a bag of fresh coffee just roasted today 08.04. Fantastic micro-roastery with great specialty coffees from Bolivia. You can drink very good coffee here and have very interesting conversations with the friendly owners. You can watch the roasting process in the restaurant... it's a great experience :-) I'd love to come back

We look every year for a specialty coffee place in Locarno, and were so glad to finally find one. The owners are kind and personable and knowledgable. They let you choose which bean you want for your espresso based off of the flavor notes - all of which we loved. They even offered a babycino for our baby. We definitely look forward to visiting again next time!

We visited from Amsterdam, where we have plenty of good coffee roasteries. We were very happy to have found MUYU. Great tasting coffee and a very friendly store owner!

A MUST for coffee lovers in Switzerland! A shop that looks inconspicuous from the outside but has incredibly delicious coffee specialties inside! Everything inside is kept very simple because the focus is on the coffee! Super nice employees who don't just want to sell coffee but also love the contact with their customers and want to introduce them to the Bolivian coffee culture. Very competent advice, lovingly prepared coffee and a taste that you won't quickly forget!

Great coffee and very nice owners! Here you can taste how different coffees from the same country of origin (Bolivia) can taste. Both espresso and filter are top and don't need to hide from other specialty cafes in Europe.

This cute little coffee-shop made it on my Top 3 list for the best coffees worldwide! Since I live in Berlin, which has a great variety of good roasters and coffees, this is quite impressive. If you are near Locarno and looking for awesome coffee this is the place to go. And if you have any questions regarding coffee or just want to chat, the owners, Vanessa and Yann, are great hosts and will make your visit worth it! I am looking forward for my next visit! ☕️😁
