Nagomi Sushi A gem of a Sushi place in central Geneva, not far from the Cornavin train station and in the Pâquis area of town. This restaurant provides for the freshest and most succulent Sushi I have had in Geneva, with melt in your mouth fish spanning the range of subtle flavours this kind of cuisine offers. This restaurant is very small and you definitely have to reserve your seat in advance. Its intimate atmosphere and simple but elegant settings are transport you out of Geneva and into Japan. The best in my view is to get a counter table seat to see the Chef at work, expertly cutting and preparing every morsel of goodness. Granted, this place is a bit on the pricey side but considering the freshness of the fish, the attentive service and who is preparing the food right there in front of you, it is well worth going to. Note the restaurant has sister ‘tempura’ restaurant that is also getting glowing reviews.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years and it still remains my favorite in Geneva - definitely the most authentic in terms of Japanese ambiance. The food is consistently excellent - both the Sushi side and the Tempura sides run respectively by father and son. My favourites are the vegetarian choices which I have not found anywhere else - small kaiseki style dishes - sunomono, eggplant in a sweet miso sauce (out of this world), green beans in a sesame sauce, and Agadashi Tofu. The vegetable tempura (which can be ordered individually) is wonderful - as is all of the sushi I have tried there. Service is always impeccable - and the owners are extremely kind and always make the guests feel welcome. They take the art of Japanese Cuisine to the highest level of freshness, refinement and presentation. Cannot recommend enough! Booking in advance essential!

Amazing sashimi! So fresh! My heart was happy! Their omakase menu was fulfilling so I think it was on par with their pricing. The chef was attentive, and he was willing to accompany personal needs. The girl staff was very nice and hard working. There are two actually two different restaurants under the same name. One side was for omakase and tempura and the other one I think is the a la carte.

My wife and I recently made our first visit to Nagomi for lunch and had an excellent meal. The sushi was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. I was also impressed by our server, who spoke fluent English, French and Japanese. On the sushi side, Nagomi serves up nigiri sushi, maki rolls and hand rolls, along with sashimi and chirashi sushi. Among appetizers and main courses, they also offer a good selection of cooked items. But that’s not why I went there. We were able to savor three types of tuna, Toro, Maguro and Hamachi, along with scallops and surf clam. The restaurant itself is on the small side, some might say intimate, so reservations might be in order for dinner or on weekends. I was pleasantly surprised to see seating at the sushi bar, something I haven’t seen much of in French or Swiss sushi places Nagomi isn’t cheap, but then I’ve gotten the sense that eating anywhere in Geneva will lighten your wallet a bit. With excellent service, friendly staff and great food, I don’t mind paying a bit more. We’ll be back.

This is a Tempura bar. Intimate, 12 seats with constant interaction with the chef who explains the different dishes and the seasonings to use. The chef is Japanese but speaks French perfectly. The products are immaculately fresh, some even coming from Japan! I took the Miyabi menu (Vegetables 4 kinds, Fish & Shellfish 4 kinds, Tenchazuke). As vegetables: Japanese squash, carrots, Hokkaido potatoes, type of ginger/shallot. Seafood: crab, oyster, Japanese shrimp, scallops. Succulent and very friendly. I will do it again!

We misunderstood when read through their website, thought that they do not accept reservation (apparently it’s for the Ramen place) —having said that, they need to make it clear on their web for reservation.
