Neuchâtel City Hôtel in Neuchâtel

First the positive: central location, comfortable beds, no carpets in the rooms. Less good: strange smell in the entrance hall, 3 lamps in our room were broken, curtains were old. Very bad: there was no bread at breakfast. We waited for a while but only when we asked were 2 (!) bagettes baked again with the information that it would take 15 minutes. The next morning there wasn't enough bread again. Other guests were also annoyed. Breakfast costs Fr. 22.00 per person. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Avoid... low-end and dilapidated furniture, cleanliness needs to be reviewed (dust, hair, stains), very poorly soundproofed so rest is almost impossible, bad smells, uncomfortable bed... for the price it is a very disappointing experience. The photos do not reflect reality. As for the parking… not suitable for professional stays. Once we charge 20.-, the second time 40.-, the stay becomes expensive for mediocre quality and comfort. I definitely wouldn't come back. Very disapointed.

Judith Seb was very welcoming. And they go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. Hotel very well located and at a low price. We need to stop complaining and criticizing.

We came here with low expectations but still managed to be further disappointed. To start of the rooms are very small and don’t have a lot of power outlets. Second of all there is no lock on the bathroom which for me personally was a great issue as my roommate and I aren’t the most comfortable with each other. Furthermore the toilet paper is very poor quality (thin and rips apart). When it came to the breakfast the staff was extremely slow at restocking the food options. There were times where we had to wait for 30 minutes just to get some bread. The juice is very diluted and tastes watery. I do have to say that the cleaning staff was kind and able to complete all necessary tasks and expectations. Lastly the location was very convenient close to a mall and a few restaurants which we really enjoyed.

Pretty good… fairly large and quiet rooms

If you are thinking about staying here, please do not. There is not one single redeeming feature of this hotel.

Bed, noisy, not level one mattress higher than the other, in the middle of construction or I don't know but noise from 7:45 a.m., very noisy cleaning lady, banging everywhere against the wall, door slamming, it's borderline terrifying so for rest it is impossible, the equipment in the room (TV) crackled and the image was full of glitches, Bathroom full of hairs, Restaurant service, poorly mannered... And disgusting scent in the corridor or limiting perfume to tear our nostrils, parking paid quite expensive and breakfast a fortune.. In short, deplorable customer service....
