We had a bit of a miscommunication and our sandwiches ended up being made in a wrong way. I was a bit taken aback by the first response by what I assumed was the owner in insisting that our order was actually right and that it was prosciutto crude when clearly it was cotto but she admitted that she was wrong when we pointed out that there were many more items missing on our sandwiches. It was the cashier's first day so we will go back and try again - the ambiance, concept, and quality of the bread is easily worth five stars!,

Very fantastic sourdough bread. It's an option to ask for a part of a large loaf to be cut off by weight so that there is less crust than with the rolls or smaller complete loaves. That's what I went for and it was perfect with butter and honey. There's a friendly owner who is happy to talk bread, it definitely gets my vote for the best bread around.

There's nothing like really good bread and that's what you get here!

The best bread, the flutes are an absolute eye-catcher and a highlight for the palate and digestion! We'll travel far for this! (by bus ;-))

Until now, as Zurich residents, we had to go to Basel to post this fabulous bread, which was hard, but worth it for this unique taste experience (and admittedly, Basel as a city also has its charm). We are happy, now we can buy the bread more often. We will do that too.
