made us feel unwanted Went there in the late afternoon, sat down and waited for the waitress who didn't come. After 10 minutes I went outside where the word was and asked myself whether the kitchen was open. He replied very harshly that it was the kitchen. Normally you at least offer a sandwich or something or are at least friendly.

I highly recommend it. With several options of wonderful beers and drinks. Charming and cozy atmosphere. Especially the clerk Brenda, she's so cute. Super attentive, charismatic and professional. We were very well looked after.

The Old City Irish Pub is one of my favorite places in Bern. It is a Pub / Sports bar. It is important to know that this is a place for drinks, not for food. They have a good selection of beers on tap. They also have a great selection of Irish Whiskeys! The staff is really friendly and helpful. There is also a really nice pub style basement with a counter. The basement is not always open, I think only Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As I organized an event for a larger group, we had drinks before in the Old City Irish Pub. The owner reserved the basement extra for us. We appreciated this very much.

We enjoy this Irish pub! Love the live music on Thursday nights. Our fav is the Guinness pint! Most pours are good, some amazing, some fall short (pouring Guinness is a learned skill). Staff is always friendly and happy to play Irish tunes! (Fyi-drinks only, no food options.)

Very cool pub in the middle of the old town of Bern. The vaulted cellar in particular creates a great atmosphere and invites you to linger longer. The pub also offers very friendly staff, a good selection of beers, several screens with football broadcasts and sometimes even authentic Irish live music. My friends and I really enjoyed the evening!

No money, Covid restrictions but still landing in Ireland? Then you've come to the right place in the heart of Bern's old town. The small cellar pub is very cozy and the service is friendly. Wonderful for a great evening with a pint of Guinness and the sounds of The Dubliners or Horslips.

Cosy bar/pub in a basement in the old town, good range of beer - try a "Bärner Müntschi", a non-filtered, cloudy beer which is brewed locally at Felsenau

4 out of 5 for Irishpubness. I know only two Irish pubs in Bern, and this is definitely deserve visiting. A kinda small and lack of fresh air, but good service and cosy atmosphere. Seating outside - perfect. Not a great choice of tap beers but "all you need" is there. Definitely recommend to get a couple of beers...

Very good beers. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. From time to time there is also live Irish music. And there's always a sports channel on. We recommend!

Bern, the capital of Switzerland. An Irish pub in the basement of the old town. The scenery is very good. Nice town. Guinness beer is delicious. A place you want to visit many times.

A beautiful, quiet city full of charming urban details. It is distinguished by its red trains and the spread of the smell of baked goods and coffee. Its visit is quick and does not require reservations or accommodation. It can be visited in the middle of the trip.

Three stars for the atmosphere, choice of beer and cider. Still... missing a bit the "mood" and experience of an Irish pub like chatting, etc. But still a good choice for having a beer, watching sports and having sometimes live music.

Great Irish Pub in Bern. Expensive but affordable prices, nothing prohibitive. The waiter who served us was very nice and the music was unbeatable, the best Celtic rock. Highly recommended, SLÁINTE

A great place to have a beer at any time. It is picturesque that you have to go down a staircase that is at street level. The atmosphere is festive and shared by both local and tourist groups. Irish and local draft beer is offered at reasonable prices (6 to 8 euros). They also have some simple snacks to go with it. I recommend for a late stop if you visit Bern (one of the few things that are open until relatively late)

An underground pub, how cool is that. I just felt like I was in Ireland 🇮🇪. The Irish coffee is perfect for the cold season..And it makes people happy who don't drink alcohol like myself... And the owner of the pub is also a nice person (keep it up)
