Olio&Sale in Köniz

Best Italian around Bern. Authentic, freshly prepared, simply perfect

I was in Tuscany for a week but the best Italian food is in Schliern near Köniz. "Be forte maestro Domenico"

We're not from the region, so we googled pizza and found Olio&Sale. Not so inviting from the outside, but inside the restaurant, it was nicely decorated and looked very serious. The pizzas are highly recommended! You can taste the passion from Italy. See for yourself.

Well, the location is not bad but neither, let's say, "special", that's at least my idea, also taking into account that I was here in the evening, therefore in the dark... Served directly by the chef, who, making us feel totally at ease, recommended fresh dishes of the day, paired with excellent wine, and a truly excellent selection of digestives... a very pleasant surprise!!! I highly recommend everyone to stop by, for pizza lovers on Thursdays, with endless pizza, you can't leave this place dissatisfied let's say....

Finally a place where even a constantly upset person like me can feel happy and content. Very tasty pizza and nice service!

The starter of cured meats, cheeses and homemade aubergines and tomatoes in oil is delicious, accompanied by a freshly made "Oil&Sale" focaccia. Then we continued with a Raviolo stuffed with potatoes and truffles with beef carpaccio and sprouts to close the delicious dish. All surrounded by excellent service. Warm welcome. Spectacular dishes and good wine. I highly recommend it to anyone with children because there is a nice lawn, and some games and you can relax while keeping an eye on your children.
