Were allowed to eat on the back terrace, fantastic view. Eating really tasty, three kinds of hummus, sweet potato fries and burgers. Spectacular!!!

If you like burgers you've come to the right place, it's worth it because they're really good, everything is homemade... the people there are also friendly, it's worth it even if the place is right at the intersection so it's not exactly quiet, it doesn't disturb everything else fits. Thank you for the wonderful time with you🌹

We always drove past the restaurant when we went to the Maggia. Last Sunday we wanted to eat a burger. It was only after we ordered that we were informed that they were out of beef. So we ordered whatever was available. However, neither the burger nor the fries were convincing. Burger was poorly seasoned and the meat was dry. The fries are not completely cooked through. The restaurant itself has few indoor seats. The terrace is nice and shady. So definitely a nice place to stay on hot days. Nice view of the Maggia.

If you come from Italy bring your sandwich because here a portion of fried potatoes is €11. I wouldn't have complained if you hadn't tried to charge me 40.50fr - 50€ Tibetan exchange?

The location is stunning, with its balcony 50m high overlooking the Maggia River next to Ponte Brolla Bridge. The menu of « gourmet burgers » which you could customize to your liking sounded very promising, they even had a Waygu beef option and special red and black burger buns. Without hesitation, all three of us chose their special Waygu beef burger with a wild mushroom sauce and crispy onions on a red bun. We were famished after spending the past 8 hours descending two canyons and were very eager to sink our teeth into this juicy delicacy that was advertised. The restaurant was only half full so we didn’t expect a long wait. It took them 20 minutes to take our order, I asked if I could add cheese to mine and was quickly served with a disapproving look advising me not to ruin this delicate meat with a layer of additional fat, feeling rather embarrassed for the suggestion I accepted the waiter’s instructions and reluctantly opted not to take cheese. Twenty thirsty minutes later and we finally had our beers. I must say that the Moretti grand cru ale was rather delicious. After a full hour, our bellies ached with emptiness and we were feeling rather annoyed. At this very moment we were presented with our meals…. At first glance the burgers looked rather appetizing however it was already clear that something wasn’t as advertised. The buns were not red, but white. We thought no big deal, a red bun is really just for visual effect, no noticeable effect on the taste and anyway as hungry as we were those burgers wouldn’t be seen for longer than a few short minutes. I like to cut mine in half to get the view of the cross section, my friends both bit right into theirs. Luckily the knife was serrated, the bread was so stale this was like sawing into a cinder block. Before finishing my center cut both friends were already groaning about the dryness and lack of taste. I looked at the cross section of this burger and was faced with a half inch thick slice of gray Firestone sidewall. The taste was something like the head of a burnt match wrapped in sandpaper, fortunately for me I was advised not to add fat! Each bite required two gulps of ale to go down at least the beer was good. We normally would not have eaten it if we were not so hungry but even then we could not bring ourselves to finish this catastrophe. My friend mentioned he’d better not as he was still paying for his dental work. So we decided to do what we rarely ever do, send it back! We called the waiter over and told him our dilemma, showing him this charcoal briquette of a burger. To which he replied with shrugged shoulders and saying « ah, it’s well done » and walked away. We were a bit stunned by this apathy for a moment but after another 10 mins we decided to call another waiter over and show her the problem. Luckily she was more responsive. She was kind enough to remove the burgers from our bill in the end and wanted to offer us deserts, that we kindly declined.

What can I say... I stopped one evening in May... everything delicious and super service!! I stopped one evening before a holiday in the busiest period for us Ticino people... where the Confederates are everywhere... and I was disappointed!! Service mmmhh after 20 minutes they noticed that we were there... after another 20 we asked if he could at least ask us what we were drinking.... our fault for playing with the tablet for the dinner order and we missed the tour of the order... but once the order was confirmed it took an eternity before the desired one arrived... in short, before dinner it was at least 1 hour and a half (and not the peak time) but at 9.15pm ... Well the sandwich 🍔 was... it was what it was it didn't make me say wow like the first time... I will do the experience again but in the autumn and this week...

The service is terrible, the waitresses are incompetent and even rude. I don't recommend it!

The restaurant is wonderfully located on the Maggia Gorge, you can even see down into the blue water! However, we were even more impressed by the vegetarian burger with raclette cheese, bomb! The best burger we've ever had in a restaurant! Simply great!

Very nice place. Very friendly staff and fast service. We took two burgers, the fact that we could customize them. Furthermore, in summer the view from the terrace is truly breathtaking.

The restaurant is in a great location. Right on the edge of an impressive gorge. You have a great view down from the beer garden. The Osteria has focused on burgers and bar operations. I can't say anything about the bar. The outside area looked pretty nice though. The food is good and rich. One problem is the service. After about 10 guests came into the restaurant at the same time, panic broke out. The result was that drink orders were taken and then forgotten. Newly arriving guests were seated and then not served. After a while things calmed down again, thankfully But what you should think about: I was asked to place my order via the restaurant's online presence. Then it didn't work. So the waitress read my entries from my smartphone and entered them into her tablet. Other guests were given normal menus and could order as normal.

Selection of food and drinks is very good. It doesn't have too much but not too little either. Certainly has something for everyone. There are also regional beers to choose from. Unfortunately the staff was a bit overwhelmed during our visit..? We would have to wait quite a long time for the card and we would also have to ask several times for the bill. Maybe because it was Sunday evening? Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant. Gladly again 😊

It's a shame that there are only 5 stars. I would give six. The location - below the house in the canyon (who came up with the idea of ​​lugging tons of gravel down there to set up 3 tables...?!?) is unbelievably beautiful. As for the food - the tomahawk was a revelation, the guy at the grill was crazy but brilliant, everything was very nicely prepared and perfect as it should be. Overall, absolute recommendation. We will be back. Definitely. If you don't stop, it's your own fault. Big thanks for an incomparable stay!

Nice rooms and great location for excursions. On warm summer nights it is very warm in the room. Check-out takes a long time (for us it took half an hour before we could leave), so you should allow enough time.

Pros: location and environment, possibility to assemble the hamburger to your liking, friendly waiters. Cons: it's a tavern that only offers hamburgers and at 1pm they no longer had one of the cheeses on the list. Not all the tables were occupied and yet they already no longer had menus to give us to choose what to eat. We also had a wait of 1 hour and 15 minutes for 4 burgers, always with a fair amount of customers. And finally comes a sandwich with meat that doesn't even fill half the sandwich. The chips were very dark and too oily, probably fried for too long. Prices not honest for the quality and service, shame.

I don't recommend, waiting an hour and a half for 4 burgers, overcooked meat, it looked like a meatball, it didn't fill the sandwich at all and the chips were burnt and full of oil. I will not return

Su indicazione di amici ci siamo fermati all'osteria non sapendo però esattamente cosa attenderci. La proposta di burgers però ci ha convinto e abbiamo provato. Il risultato è stato davvero ottimo. Questo tipo di offerta è sempre più di moda e lo abbiamo già testato in altri ristoranti. Le proposte dell'Orrido sono però molto sfiziose. Lo sfilacciato di maiale è sublime, come di buona qualità sono gli altri ingredienti proposti. Patate fritte stile country ottime. Diversi tipi di pane a scelta. Personale giovane ma molto cordiale e servizio rapido. Il tutto in una cornice naturale bellissima. Davvero bravi.

L'osteria si affaccia su di panorama di rocce e fiume spettacolare. Approfittando di un giorno con meno turisti ci siamo fermati sul mezzogiorno. La proposta di burgers forse può stridere con il nome osteria, ma quanto proposto è decisamente ottimo. Varie proposte di pane, come degli ingredienti principali o di contorno. Tutti di ottima qualità. Sfilacciato di maiale davvero ottimo. Il personale è giovane, cordiale e con un servizio rapido. Porzioni abbondanti e con prezzi tutto sommato non esagerati per una zona molto turistica. Una piacevole scoperta, e all'occasione ritorneremo.

Osteria che offre la possibilità di creare a piacimento il tuo Burger, scelta molto ampia, dal tipo di pane alle varie salse e ingrediente (scelta anche per vegetariani).Da provare sicuramente gli anelli di cipolla sono ottimi!! Vista molto bella, consigliato d'estate per la possibilità di pranzare e cenare al fresco. Sono stato in questo posto poche ore fa, devo dire che sono rimasto abbondantemente soddisfatto, a pochi chilometri da casa un locale fenomenale, con una vista che non ha bisogno di parole, personale super cortese e preparato, oltre che super disponibile in ogni aspetto.I panini di ottima qualità, con ingredienti decisi e ben trattati.Lo consiglio vivamente, i prezzi sono nella norma essendo che dietro a tutto questo c’è una grande qualità ed un ottimo servizio nel loro lavoro.Ci ritornerò senza dubbio.

Para los amantes de los ríos, el lugar tiene una vista encantadora. La noche estuvo muy ocupada debido al repentino mal tiempo, sin embargo, las camareras fueron muy amables a pesar del estrés. A pesar de esto, la velada salió mal por razones inexplicables. Hubo un malentendido sobre una hamburguesa que costaba alrededor de 45 CHF, que no cumplió con nuestras expectativas. Now I understand why there are only tourists for lunch. If you make your self hamburger you risk paying 45 fr for a hamburger, also with very few ingredients, the extra cheese was not even visible. We paid CHF 85 for two burgers, more then in Los Angeles😱😱. I never will go back😬😬

Frischer Orangensaft ist auch auf der Strecke geblieben.... der Cappuccino war auch nur noch Abwaschewasser .... Eigentlich fühlten wir uns eher wie Gäste .... Persona non grata .... Schade eigentlich.... immerhin.... seit 1978 trotzt all dem Wechsel immer wieder dort ....

Sehr einfallsreiche Menukarte (man kann die Zutaten seines Burgers selber auswählen). Tolle Aussicht und sehr schmackhafte Burger! Per Zufall entdeckt und kann weiterempfohlen werden.

Magnifica formazione geologica scavata e levigata in profondità dal fiume Maggia. Le sue pozze profonde che raggiungono i 18 metri profondità e l'acqua di colore verde intenso invitano a tuffarsi e ad immergersi. Attenzione però la bellezza nasconde numerose insidie, corrente, acqua fredda pietre immerse non ben visibili all'esterno, e la stessa pietra in cui é scavato l'orrido stesso che diventa molto scivolosa quando é bagnata sono cause ripetute di incidenti anche mortali. Phantastische und interessante geologische Formation, die vom Fluss Maggia tief ausgegraben und geglättet wurde. Die bis zu 18 Meter tiefe Pools, und das intensiv grün gefärbtes Wasser laden zum Tauchen ein. Jedoch ist vorsich geboten, die Schönheit verbirgt Gefahren: unsichtbare Strömungen, Steine die von außen nicht deutlich sichtbar sind, und den glatten Stein, aus dem die Schlucht entstand, wird bei Nässe sehr rutschig und zum tödlichen gefahr wird.

Die Lage ist der Hammer! Der Empfang vom Koch relativ unfreundlich uns so war auch der Burger gemacht - lieblos, dürftige Qualität, fettige triefende Pommes. Sehr sehr enttäuschend. Das Konzept könnte so gut sein! Hier steht kein Mensch in der Küche, dem Kochen etwas bedeutet. Bedienung freundlich.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit bezaubernder Aussicht! Tolles Essen mit einer super Bedienung. Auch sehr Kinderfreundlich! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Es wäre ein schöner Ort, das Essen, die Weine und das Bier sind in Ordnung. Das publikum ist sehr unterschiedlich, je nach Tageszeit. Der Strassenlärm ist scheusslich.
