Tip Top Easter 2024 for the first time here in this Osteria. The whole thing is perfect. Atmosphere is 100 percent right. CLEAN, QUIET, VERY PLEASANT. The staff attentive but not always visible. The toilet is CLEAN AS RARE. The greeting from the kitchen with a glass of Merlot wine is PERFECT. GLADLY AGAIN.

In my opinion, the rooms are big enough, actually more of a 3-star hotel for a 2-star price. Very committed owner couple. COMPLIMENT! The only small disadvantage is the very limited availability of parking spaces, which unfortunately is not improved by the many controlled blue zones in the municipality of Ascona. Suggestion to the community: Parking tickets for hotel guests during their stay.

You can choose from all pizzas on the menu and decide to take the ‘black’ dough. I can really recommend this, I’ve never had a black pizza before. Friendly and accommodating staff who helped us out with breakfast when we needed to leave early. However, the hotel is very expensive for what you get. The room was small and outdated with no climate control and we were given a single bottle (.33l) of water to share.

I can't rate the rooms because I've never been there. However, the restaurant is pleasant, very friendly staff, frequented many times for lunch when I am in Ascona for work.

I think the price/performance ratio is good and fits. The employees are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is rich, fresh and good. The rooms are quiet - especially those with a view of the garden. The room may be renovated occasionally. But this is just my personal impression. Everything worked in the room and was also very clean. Therefore it is completely sufficient. There is a bit of limited parking space but this is stated in the description. The dinner is great. Especially the pizzas. You don't have to go to the overcrowded/overpriced promenade. You can have dinner here in the hotel as a hotel guest or as a “non-resident”. Reservation recommended! Even though the restaurant was full, the food came quickly (and warm). If you eat as a hotel guest, you get an additional 10% discount on the meal. I've never experienced it before. But I don't know if that's always the case? Hotel is absolutely recommended! I will definitely come back.

A visit to the Osteria Ticino is always a new experience: culinary terms are simply TOP - fantastic antipasti and pizzas are second to none; Pasta dishes/risotti were also universally found to be delicious. And then there is the great service (we would like to highlight Vito and Dania here) – what more could you want?! We are very, very happy to recommend the restaurant without reservation and are already looking forward to our next visit when we are back in Ticino.

I'm writing this review for the restaurant. We visited the Osteria Ticino with 10 people on a Saturday evening. It was a great experience. We spent almost 4 hours in the restaurant and were really pampered, with starters, main courses and desserts, of course. I can only say. Everything was TOP. The food was a dream, some very special and special menu creations, some prepared (flambéed) at the table by the perfect ladies and gentlemen of the service. I would particularly like to highlight the service, in addition to the incredibly fine cuisine. Very, very friendly, perfectly timed, simply super professional, even though the Osteria was packed with guests. I can recommend the Osteria with a clear conscience and will definitely eat there again. Everything just fit perfectly.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und neu renoviert. Einige hatten zwei Bäder. Leider hat die Heizung „getropft“ und so unangenehmen Lärm verursacht. Weiter gibt es weitere starke Lichtquellen im Zimmer so das es nicht wirklich dunkel wird. Das Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet. Es hat etwas für alle Geschmäcker, Pasta, Pizza, Fleisch und Fisch. Jeder wird etwas finden. Die Weinkarte ist überschaubar, nebst regionalen Weinen werden auch ausländische Weine ausgeschenkt. Alles in allem ist das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ok.

4 Tagen Ferien unter Corona-Schutzmassnahmen... im milden sonnigen Tessin! Meiner Meinung nach hat das Personal es gut gemeistert. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir haben jedes mal Teller blank gelassen :) Die Bedienung auch sehr nett. Vielleicht die Portionen etwas zu gross, wir sind jeden Tag mind. 15 km gelaufen um genug Hunger haben zu können. :) Tag 1 gabs Pizza (Thon/Zwiebel und Tirolese) + Glas Wein, Tag 2 Risotto mit Riesengarnelen, flambiert (da mein Mann Garnellen nicht isst, hatte ich 8(!) Riesengarnelen für mich allein) + lokales rotes Bier, Tag 3 Pasta mit Lachs + lokales dunkles Bier, Tag 4 Poulet mit Reis und Curry-Sauce / Pizza Inferno (wobei besonders scharf ist sie nicht, aber Chili-Flocken die zu Pizza serviert werden, sind super, wäre gut sie immer auf dem Tisch zu haben, ich habe mein Reis nachgeschärft) + wieder dunkles Bier. Espresso top! Zum Frühstück gibt's Gipfeli/Brot, Müesli, Confiture, Käse/Fleisch Aufschnitt, Eier. Alles lecker. Im Prinzip Frühstück+Abendessen sind genug um zwischen 10 und 16 pausenlos in der Gegend zu spazieren :)

Gemütlicher Abend mit sehr feinem Essen. Weine etwas teuer. Sehr zu empfehlen: die speziellen Pizzen und Risotto flambiert mit Crevetten.

Wir waren per Zufall in diesem Restaurant und wurden total überrascht. Das Essen war der Hammer! Noch nie so guten Fisch gegessen und auch das Risotto, die Calzone und das Rindsfilet waren einfach super. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, super Gastronomie. BRAVO!

Der Geheimtip in Ascona, denn hier bedient der Chef noch selber. Sauberes Ambiente, ausgezeichnetes Essen und eine herzliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Ich kann diese Lokal sehr empfehlen. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung was eine Seltenheit im Tessin ist wie wir feststellen mussten essen ist auch gut uns hat nur überrascht das wir für das gleiche Essen am Samstag 10.- mehr bezahlen mussten wahrscheinlich weil es nicht mehr auf der Karte wahr. Aufjedenfall einen Besuch wert :)

Eine tolle Entdeckung in Ascona - unbedingt ausprobieren und sich ein eigenes Urteil bilden. Wir hatten das erste Mal leider nicht reserviert und mussten deshalb etwas Mahr als eine halbe Stunde auf einen freien Tisch warten. Es hat sich aber gelohnt. Wir wurden kulinarisch und Service technisch auf hohem Niveau bedient. Unser Fazit: Das nächste Mal wird es bestimmt geben und da werden wir auch reservieren - heute war es soweit und wir sind innerhalb derselben Woche nach Reservation erneut toll bekocht und betreut worden. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, versprochen.
