Osteria la Peonia in Mendrisio

Very nice and quiet hotel. The food in the restaurant is top. 👍 There are very nice paths for hiking. We were welcomed and served very friendly as guests.

If you like hiking in nature, this is the ideal place. The path to the hotel is a bit special but very picturesque. The owner is very friendly. He didn't inform me in the morning that he had heavy snowfall. The room seemed bright and friendly and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The only negative point, which is forgivable It takes a while for warm water to come, but there are also complaints at a high level because the house is a bit older. The bed is pleasantly hard and not too slouchy. Had dinner with my work colleague at his place. The restaurant seems small and nice but also has something warm about it. Dishes are made by him himself. If you don't eat there you're missing out. The gnocchi were very tender and also delicious. I had the salad that comes with 2 dressings and Rösti Chef highly recommends the homemade Rösti was really world class. Portions are large and the price-performance ratio is excellent for the quality. I wish you a pleasant stay and a good appetite.
