Amazing historical time pieces. Great amount of information gone about a huge portion of the inventory.

A nice look into the history of watchmaking, from the very first portable watches to modern wristwatches, also including various other historically related trinkets. It did get quite repetitive with many similar things later on, but would probably be interesting for the watch enthusiasts out there. 10 CHF for entrance pp., not that expensive but definitely not cheap. There was a free audio guide and the staff were friendly. There were signs saying that large cameras and flash wasn’t allowed, but then a sign saying that phones were allowed, so we naturally thought it meant we could take pictures with phones, but not with huge cameras (apparently many others thought the same) but later on we got told off by security. Very misleading sign, they could just have written that photography wasn’t allowed. That was a bad experience so here are some pictures for revenge haha

The most amazing watch collection in the world. And it's just $10 the ticket. One of the best things to do in Geneva. I would want more info, a guided tour on Saturdays or the audio guide may be good choices, I may look for online/app guided audio tours too, just any ways to get more background from the experts would be nice.

Instead of visiting by yourself, you can join the public tours on certain days, I think it costs 5 francs per person. For example, on Saturdays there is a French tour at 14.00 and an English tour at 14.30. It takes about 2 hours, the museum staff explains it in great detail, there is information about the royal family, the Ottoman family, piguets, lange&söhne and much more. Whether you are interested in watches or not, if you are going to come to this museum, I definitely recommend you to join these public tours. You need to go a little before the tour and register your name because the quota is limited.

I loved this museum where I had an unforgettable and timeless time! Everything is of breathtaking quality, the precision miniaturization of the watches and automatons, the evolution in the history of watchmaking, the presentation and staging of the high quality objects on display dazzled me throughout. a visit to this exceptional museum.

Great place if you have interest or not in watches

An amazing place, which you don't even think about from the outside. Very atmospheric, but a phenomenal collection, precisely categorized. We've never seen anything like this anywhere in the world. It's worth spending 2-3 hours. An audio guide is provided, so you can listen to it in several languages. Guides are available for groups. Wardrobe, movable.

See the most complicated watch in history. You can buy tickets at the museum or in advance. They offer personal guided tours as well. They have limited audio devices for a self guided audio tour.

A bit disappointing, very limited exposition on the actual technical side and how the movements are designed and manufactured.

A must visit for all in this smart watch era. Very informative and well maintained. Unfortunately we had very less time as we have to go on Saturday evening because Sunday and Monday it is closed. Need atleast 3/4 or more hours if you want to see everything.

We arrived on the day without booking and didn't have to wait. Our 13 year old son said he "wasn't expecting it to be good, but it was", which is praise indeed. The selection of watches is incredible and we were lucky enough to watch a master watch maker at work which just added to the experience. The building itself is also exquisite, the sweeping staircases a pure delight. Well worth a visit if you're able.

If you are in Geneva ans you love watches ⌚️ you must visit the Patek philippe Museum. A nice place to learn about the history of this watchmaker. It's a quiet place yo enjoy all the watch collection. They will give you an iPad (no Spanish) so you can learn about the collection. And the end of the visit you will be able to see the workof two watchmaker doing restoration.

After CERN, it was the best visit to Geneva for us. A truly beautiful museum! We arrived on a Saturday around 12pm. Luckily there was no queue (even though there were quite a few people inside). Possibility to leave jackets and bags in the lockers on the lower floor. Once inside, you can take the audio guides (but only in French, German and English) which, in my opinion, are essential to truly appreciate the contents of the museum. Once up to the second floor it is possible to admire a very large collection of beautiful watches produced by the company from the mid-19th century up to the present day. On the third floor, a no less spectacular collection of older watches (even though when we got to the floor we were already quite "cooked" by the amount of information on the previous floor). In all, the visit lasted at least a couple of hours (and it could have lasted even longer if you wanted to listen to the audio guide at each display case). Personally, I also recommend it for kids (my kids - 14 and 15 years old - really liked it).

the clerk just wouldn’t sell us tickets without talking to the telephone for 20 straight minutes for no reason, slow as hell and truly unacceptable, terrible experience.

This museum has a large collection of Patek Philippe watches (1st floor) , a old watches collection (2nd floor) and Patek Philippe archives (3rd floor) . Entry ticket is 10 CHF. Audioguides are available (they provide you with an iPad mini) for an additional cost of 5 CHF

Very interesting. 3rd floor is just watches and time measuring in general. All of Patek related content is on 2nd floor.

Just incredibly interesting museum of jewelry, not only watches.

This museum is a must visit for anyone interested in watches, mechanical engineering, art, jewellery. The museum has three different levels, all of them are packed with the most beautiful pieces of art. The entry is only 10CHF, and you can easily spend 3-4 hours if you want a detailed look at everything on display. The place is very very well kept, there's no dust to be seen, no fingerprints on the display boxes, the attention to detail is truly magnificent. I very highly recommend visiting this museum when you're in Genève.

Everyone has to go through this for themselves, there is a lot there and it is very beautiful. Anyone who loves watches should go there and have a look. I warmly recommend and thank the helpful staff.

Very nice display of old pocket watches and large historical background of individual contributions to watchmaking but sort of ends around 1950. Very few Wristwatches which I thought odd.

This museum had watches that I honestly did not expect to see. Starting from the earliest instruments used to make these watches to some extremely weird watch concepts, this museum has it all. There are quite a bit of restrictions as to what can be filmed (example DSLR cameras are not allowed and so is videography of any type). The museum only accepts online payments and that too in Swiss Francs. This means that Euros are not accepted. This is however a place that is worth visiting if you choose to come to Geneva for a quick day trip.

What a desappointment. I present myself in front of the Museum.... closed without information on the museum website. I was rejoicing. Damage.

Great museum, I could not believe how old some of the watches are. The craftsmanship was breathtaking. It was nice to go through the history of watches, must admit I can not believe how great watches were made 100s of years ago, the attention to detail was like from another planet.

Beautiful watches and loved how they showed the history of other watches. But there wasn’t that much detail on the Patel watches itself if you don’t do the audio guide. There should be information posted for the Patek watches like the other watches

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the museum. Got to learn a little bit more about watches in general and also have an in depth immersion into the history of the watch brand. Entry was fairly priced and there were audio-visual guides available for the tour. There are 3 floors; and, on the 1st floor, a little cinema to view a 5-10 minute clip on the start of the brand. Throughout the museum, you get the see the actual machines used to manufacture the watches, the tools used, the kind of mechanism used over time, and different sorts of watches. I did get a little woozy towards the end… which is normal after taking in so much.

For me, having visited this museum is like having made a little dream come true, I have always looked at online catalogs and photos of the wonderful Pateks with great wonder and amazement. I want to be buried in the flooded basement of this museum. I cried in front of the Calatravas

A great museum to visit and learn on the historical brand of Patek Philippe. 3 storey full of watches to admire. Depending on availability, the audio guide could give in-depth information on each timepeices displayed. I really enjoyed my time there. Free entry with swiss travel pass.

Wonderful collection of watches, Jewellery like brooch, rings and so on. Included in Swiss Pass. And it is completely worth the time and money (if you do not have the Swiss Pass).

I recently visited the Patek Philippe Museum and was amazed by the fascinating exhibition on watches from the Middle Ages. The way in which the museum has been able to showcase these historic pieces is simply remarkable. Additionally, the Patek Philippe Nautilus exhibit gave me a captivating perspective on the evolution of modern watchmaking. A true journey through time and watchmaking technology. Bravo to the museum for this enriching experience!

Amazing collection of Pateks and history of watch making.

Before the visit had modest expectations as I am not too interested in watches. What I saw in the exposition really blew my mind! Jaw-dropping art on a miniature scale. Amazing!

It is a very impressive little museum which traces the history of the brand. Very nice to visit if you are in Geneva, even briefly.

Only takes five CHF to chill out for almost 2 hours,since my coach scratches my back and re-encounter my reality, sometimes it inspires barrens materialism vision rather than hooking up a starbuck mud.If having English verbal tour that would be out of the world

Small museum but full of history...perfect for enthusiasts. You can take photos without flash.and there are books for sale...in English...allow 1 hour to 2 hours. Unique and unexpected pieces. It is elegant and stylish but there are certainly ways to do a lot better in a larger building to better present the history of the time. A little more written explanations would be welcome for those who do not want the iPad. I rather had the impression of visiting a private showcase rather than a museum.

Fascinating, most beautiful displays, well laid out. Had to wait in order to get an English guided headphones which makes a big difference if you want to know the stories behind each piece. So many displays you can’t finish them (if you stop to listen to the explanations of each piece) all unless you spend the whole day.

A beautifully laid out museum with exotic time pieces from different eras. Plan for at least two hours. An audio tour on the iPad mini is provided. Purses of any size must be stored in lockers downstairs using a two euro coin or the front desk can give you token. Clean toilets and water station downstairs.

What a beautiful Museum. The amount of information available was overwhelming, as they say the audio tour offers over 20 hrs of history. If available, it is offered as part of the very reasonable entry fee. If you have any interest in watches, I highly recommend.

Gone mad by just observing the minute details and the ancient workmanship of the two owners, they are not just watches showcasing time , but art of luxury and perfection with the jewelleries embedded in those ages

We arrived just as it opened to a line that moved relatively quickly, we got in easily, but the audio guides ran out after only taking something like 20-30 people and there were no more. The display was quite boring and without detail for all the other people who were without audio guides. quite disappointing.

Impressive. Impressive. A must-see even for non-watch enthusiasts. Contrary to what its name suggests, it is not solely dedicated to manufacturing. On the two floors dedicated to collections (2,500 pieces), one is devoted to old watches from the beginnings of watchmaking from the 15th to the 19th century (with, among other things, automatons and enameled watches), the other to Pateks. The iPads or the guided tour allow you to understand the evolution and inventions of watchmaking which often respond to new needs of humanity and of course to discover the history of the manufacture. We see pieces that are at least sumptuous, often exceptional and sometimes unique, some of which also have historical value. No photos (private collection). Allow 2 hours or more.

Very nice museum, the audio guide does not have in Spanish. They have a discount of 5 francs per student and a free guide in English on Saturdays at 1430 but you have to buy the ticket only after 1 p.m. The tour lasts 2 hours

A sense of wonder throughout the visit

The clock I was watching the video I made on YouTube is right in front of my eyes??? Patek Philippe Nautilus is in front of me..?? A place where you can see Patek Philippe's watches from more than 100 years ago to the most recent. No regrets.

Such an unique museum. The detail work in these antiques is wild. There’s 2 levels mostly and the 3rd level is like an archive. You can see the how the workstations are set up and how these watches are made. There’s sometimes a watchmaker that is fixing or cleaning up a clock and you can see it live. It was free to get in with the Swiss Travel Pass. Also, beware that front door is super heavy.

It is a must in Geneva, whether you are a fan of watchmaking or not. It contains an overwhelming collection of watches from all eras, with a special focus, of course, on the Patek Philippe brand. It's a shame that you can't take photographs of the pieces, because there are some that are truly impressive.
