Pan & Salam in Lugano

Top kebab in Lugano, a family business that has been present for many years, great friendliness and expertise at very competitive prices, a good reference for a quick snack in the city center

I went to Pan & Salam on a Saturday in September for lunch, it is located in the town center of Lugano. We went in to order, only that we had to wait for 10/15 minutes, while they took orders from people who arrived after us, just because they were waiting at the window that is there and overlooks the street. Once they contacted us I listed the 5 menus I wanted, but they made a mistake by giving us 4 and one of the 4 wasn't even right, why? Because while I was ordering the guy who prepares wasn't listening to me and the girl was "blocked" or enchanted, I don't know. We adjusted the order and walked away to eat. Although we were disappointed by the environment that welcomed us, the sandwiches were really excellent, all of them.

The kebab is good, average. Falafel deserves a bang. Bread bought not fresh but the vegetables are usually fresh. The only flaw is if in 2023 you don't have twint and because you want to make half the money, because half the people will come. Just enter the QR code and it's done.... I am not a vegetarian but I have seen the same utensils used for veg and meat dishes. Attention......

Randomly came across this place and the kebob focaccia max is the BEST thing I've had in europe so far! So much meat, amazing sauce, fresh veggies!!! This place deserves more hype! The best location to right next to the tram. We saw a bunch of locals here and now we know why!

Worst falafel I’ve ever had. Wilted salad, hard, oily, tasteless falafel, completely dry, small and all of this 8 CHF. Better not to eat than to eat this.

So, they made me the piadina with kebab in 2 minutes, it was cold, both the piadina and the meat, closed very badly, as soon as I opened the foil it looked like a bombardment, sauce and kebab everywhere, really, maybe close it well. I've tried almost all the kebabs in Lugano, and in my opinion this one stands out only because it's in the city center, otherwise they would have already been home for a while. BAD

very kind staff, even though it was about to close, prepared one last kebab for us, the large focaccia is highly recommended as it can satisfy the mouths of even the greediest.

NOT FOR VEGETARIAN! they sell falafel sandwich but they use the same tool to prepare meat an vegetarian sandwich... This is disgusting for vegetarians and they don't even care if you tell them. Also the general quality is not very high. There are very better kebab/falafel shop in town

Decent kebab, almost excessive portions, fairly fast service and very bland staff, there are certainly better kebabs in Lugano!
