Peking Garden in Dietikon

Deliveries are like a lottery - 5 out of 10 times something wrong is delivered. Delivery times of 1.5 hours are not uncommon and when you call to inquire, they don't even check the order number, they just say we have a lot of orders and then hang up. It's better to order somewhere else - in Dietikon the delivery is catastrophic!

The food is delicious! For the already fair price you also get very generous portions. Simply great. The service is friendly, it's just a bit unusual that not everything is cleared away at the end, but something is always cleared away. But it's definitely worth eating here. We will be back! :)

Over a period of about 5 months, I have repeatedly given the restaurant the opportunity to show its good side. Unfortunately, certain things run like a common thread through all my visits. The food is acceptable, but sometimes it is so seasoned that the food loses its own taste and the price/performance ratio is simply not right for me. It is often served very carelessly and without imagination. You definitely can't complain about the size of the portions, but I would recommend reducing them a bit in favor of the quality. Now to the service, this is often simply non-existent, or these are often simply people who bring food to the table. With a bit of luck you will only receive a greeting and a farewell now and then. You don't ask how the food tasted or whether you would like anything else. As a guest, I often have the feeling that I am simply a nuisance. Since this is system catering, I unfortunately have to assume that the same experiences await me in the other restaurants and I will definitely avoid them for a while and not recommend them to others.

I've eaten in better Peking Garden restaurants. The Peking soup is not spicy and doesn't taste like the others. In all the other restaurants it tasted better and the same and was also spicy. There was very little sauce with the chicken teryaki. But otherwise it was good. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the Peking soup :(.

We ate at this restaurant. I ordered a soup with meat (nothing else was stated in the product description) The soup contained many vegetables, some of which I didn't like and had a bad smell) I left it as it was without eating it. The waiter came and took the whole dish without asking anything and put it on the receipt to pay. The first and last time in this bad restaurant!!!

Ordered for the company, unfortunately no pasta, rice instead.

The food is good and priced in a good segment. The service is not always what you expect but is usually very reserved in Asian take away. You shouldn't expect a smile. The ambience is very simple but is due to the location, main street Dietikon.

The worst food I've ever eaten.

The drinks were placed at the table lukewarm in PET bottles, although you knew they weren't cold, you still didn't say anything. The small fried shrimps were served on a large plate with salad as decoration for 8 francs (4 pieces). The food arrived after 5 minutes, even though we asked if the main course should be served after the starter. The food arrived and the chicken teriyaki was served with dry burnt rice and bland meat. The food didn't go down at all because it didn't even have any sauce with it. The noodle soup had a chemical taste and you couldn't force yourself to eat it. Got up with 2 tablespoons and left the food behind because it was really just very inedible. At the checkout they didn't want to comment on the food and just wanted to upset the customer with stupid statements. I can't recommend the shop at all, wasted money even though you left the food behind.

Very unfriendly waiter, order totally wrong.

Ordered through just eat. Should be there at 9:15 p.m., arrived a few minutes ago (10:15 p.m.). That wouldn't be half as bad. But my vegetarian dish came with meat. Added now from September 10th. The reaction to my complaint. If it were possible I would give ZERO stars.

Very good food, we tried duck and sushi, all arrived moderately quickly. Friendly staff, perhaps not very professional but always with a smile. Beautiful experience and worth repeating 😊

Ordered and delivered quickly. The sweet/sour dish was a little too cool and the fried chicken was also cool. I'm used to something different. I usually order duck and that has always been ok. Try it with duck next time. Update: Duck was at the right temperature, the way I like it.

The duck was at least nice and crispy on site, and the freshly fried flour/starch on the skin didn't taste bad. A little more mixed vegetables as a side dish would really be desirable, for example with princess beans, cashews, carrots, baby corn, spring onions, etc. I would also be happy to pay extra for them.

Very bad restaurant!!!! Delivery is 1.5 hours late!! & then your supper is spilled and the other food is completely soaked with the liquid! & you have to call 5-6 times to get the money back plus just being put off on the phone! The courier blames the restaurant and the restaurant blames the courier! I am very dissatisfied and I will never order there again and will not recommend it to anyone! What's more, it wasn't the first time!!

Great. 3 different restaurants under one roof. Sushi, Vietnamese and Chinese.

Unfortunately, I received the wrong takeaway and was treated very unkindly when exchanging it and had to wait a long time (I ordered vegetarian, got meat and was asked to keep the wrong thing...)

Fresh and tasty food, great location

In and of itself, the food is a matter of taste, but I really enjoyed it! Had to eat outside because we had a dog with us, so not great. But the service made it all worth it. I can recommend it. Prices and portion sizes are also okay.

We were really very happy with everything. It is only quite loud when almost all tables are occupied.

It’s always a hit and miss. Sometimes it is very tasty and sometimes it’s not. The differences between cooks need to be addressed to ensure quality of food is more consistent.

Food either way too hot…not edible! Or cold. Food didn't come together as requested! Spring roll had very little chicken and we only got one!! For just 5.50!!!!!!

That was probably the worst Asian food I've ever had to eat, we threw 90% away! The chicken satay was completely raw! Everything was sticky and pink on the inside (chicken), second we had crispy chicken, it was also limp and raw on the inside! Most recently we had beef cansiu, also a bad joke, it was so tough that you couldn't even chew it, I've ordered this many times at other restaurants, it was always delicious there. Now the absolute highlight, we had a piece of steel wool in the beef cansiu, I don't even want to know if I accidentally ate some of it, never order there, that's a danger! Paid almost 90 francs for that!

Chicken and beef Sichuan was not edible. The meat had an unbearable and unpleasant taste. As a result, we couldn't eat it and it belonged in the trash. A pity.

There was a piece of plastic in my friend's food that hurt her.

10:00 p.m.: whether the vegetables have run out? I ordered a vegetable soup with rice noodles. The vegetables consisted of 2 wheels of carrots, 2 chopped pieces of zucchini, raw onion, a few shredded lettuce leaves, canned bamboo and heaps of inedible tofu:(. In addition, there was a beer glass that smelled of coconut and therefore the beer was not drinkable. I ate here 4 times and it was only good once, shortly after it opened.

I had ordered Peking rice with an extra portion but it was only 10 to 20 percent larger and the sauce container for the sambal ölek was very small. It normally costs 10.50 and I paid 16.50 for the extra portion. I saw two video cameras inside to protect me didn't like privacy.

The service employees rarely speak German.

I've never eaten Asian food so badly. 19.50. Beef was really bad, I was only able to try it twice, vegetables were a little better... very small portion.

We ordered vegetarian satay with fried rice, but received something completely different. It wasn't fried and it wasn't satay either. Some unidentifiable sauce. Unfortunately we only noticed this when we got home. Unfortunately, due to our lack of knowledge of German, we were not properly understood when we called and they did not want to help us. We tried to explain our problem in an understandable way, whereupon they simply hung up. When I called repeatedly, no one answered. Very unprofessional behavior. Only later were we able to reach them and walk past them again. The broth was actually sold to us as satay and the rice was replaced with fried rice in the same dish. It was finally cold. disgusting..

Order “self pick up” regularly in Dietikon. Always happy with the food and the service. Example today: Take away ordered and paid for at 1830 by email. I then changed the pic up to 1800 with a phone call. Everything worked. Top FOOD and service. Gladly again . Roland Whiteside Wyss

What a awful place. Definitely you should not prefer here. Services are so slow. We wanted vegi food but there was inside seefood. We said that this matter but they said billion lies and they were no change our service.

The food there is delicious and so are the desserts. They’re different and I’ve never had anything like this before! The staff ist very kind and your food arrives extremely fast. It’s a must-go!

Ordered food for 130 francs. Completely wrong delivery... When we asked over the phone, we were told in an unfriendly manner that it was no longer your problem... Never again!!

Our rating is 0/5 stars. This is what happened: We ordered our food 1 1/2 hours before the delivery time. Nevertheless, it arrived 1 hour after the agreed delivery time. 3 out of 3 menus were wrong. We have made changes to the menus, which is never a problem at Peking Garden Altstetten, for example. Apparently it does here. When we called several times to ask where our order was, we were served unfriendly and not taken seriously. The crowning conclusion was that we allegedly hadn't paid for our three incorrect orders (but of course we have confirmation of this from Twint) and they didn't want to give us any money back. So after a total waiting and discussion period of 2 hours, we were unable to consume any of it and had to pay 62.- for it with the accusation that it hadn't been paid for yet, which of course is not the truth. This behavior on the part of the restaurant is simply disrespectful and as I read in the other reviews, we should have informed ourselves beforehand, because positive reviews are extremely limited and can certainly be taken as an indication. Therefore another one from us.

I ordered something labeled vegetarian/vegan. I felt sick while eating. The service person then explained to me that the assistant chef had accidentally prepared the crab & chicken version for me instead of the veggie version. I probably don't need to say more about that.

Unfriendly employee! An older employee yelled at me in front of all the guests. I didn't understand the menu concept, he could have told me this in a friendly manner. I will never visit the restaurant again.

I've already been to the Peking Garden on Landstrasse once and it was delicious :) I thought it would be the same here, but instead the duck was really dry and didn't taste good and was more expensive than in the city of Zurich, even though we're in the agglomeration and that too Ambience is not exactly comfortable. My colleagues also didn't finish their food (sweet & sour). 4 people and didn't eat it four times, which is certainly not due to the huge portions. First and last time.

The quality of the food is reasonably good but they don't have under control the delivery times; if you order for 12 o'clock, they sometimes deliver just after 11 o'clock. If you order for 12:15, the food is sometimes not delivered at 13 o'clock yet.

Definitely not a family-friendly and especially child-friendly restaurant. We got the bill (indirect chase away) even though no one asked for it and we couldn't even order dessert. No go They also received an email from me, just as they requested, but there was never an answer.

Really disappointed, I ate a lot here but will never come back…!!! When I ordered I said that the starters should come first but the main course didn't come first. Afterwards they brought me the starter which I didn't accept and sent back..!! I am very disappointed and was here at least 1 or 2 times a week..!!

The fusion of Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine meets the requirements for midday catering. The restaurant is a bit cool and invites you less to linger and more to eat quickly. In summer it is a lot more comfortable outside.

Food was ok. The supplier was a disaster. After he brought me the food & I paid, he came again 5-10 minutes later for some inexplicable reason. He rang the bell and knocked really terrorized me. I didn't open the door because I was afraid. After 20 minutes of rioting, he left again. OUTRAGEOUS, he could have just called instead of terrorizing me. I'll never order there again because you might be afraid of getting killed!

I ordered yesterday through smu, the food was terrible twice, I don't order anything there anymore, I can throw Asyafood in my mic and it tastes better.

Disastrous aggressive service / disappointing and fear-mongering boss We have been going to Peking Garden Glattbrug with our children and colleagues for several years now. Yesterday on June 4th, 2022 it happened again and my wife felt like eating Chinese again. This time we didn't want to drive that far so we went to dinner with the children at the Peking Garden in DIETIKON. There wasn't much going on, more staff than visitors. We ordered 2x duck and 2x chicken and 1x shrimp. While waiting for food, a couple complained that they had to wait almost an hour and when their food would come. The boss said your food will come in 5 minutes if you wait, OK and then you'll disappear. (: After about 40 minutes, a family (6 people) arrived who were relatives of the waitress, i.e. the boss himself. After waiting for an hour, I went in and asked when our food was coming? They said straight away! I asked if they had already started But no, they said we'll do it quickly for them. I asked why relatives of their family came after us almost an hour later and the table is full of food or you can say that they've already finished their food and I've finished mine Children are still waiting??? He said the food is coming soon, we'll make it quickly for them. He told me if they don't have time to eat then I shouldn't come or go anymore. What an impudence I've never experienced something like that before I have experienced or heard about my life and he wanted to attack me and hit me, but a few employees held him tight and kept saying that their food would come quickly for them. There were so many staff and with so few visitors, you can't understand it. But they were more busy with the delivery service so that the visitors were completely forgotten and no one was interested. The boss was very aggressive and very unfriendly not only to me but also to other visitors. My wife and the children were scared and after waiting for over an hour with an empty stomach and hungry children we had to leave the restaurant. I have never experienced such an unfriendly and aggressive restaurant. It's sad and true. :( If there were minus stars, then there would be a lot of minus stars :(

Teriyaki chicken was dry. Dry like they forgot about it in the fryer. And all tiny little chunks of chicken. A bad batch? Perhaps....

I've been ordering for a while now and there's always something. Sometimes you forget the card machine, sometimes it takes too long, sometimes the food is inedible. The employees on the phone seem very uninterested in talking at all and don't understand where the food is supposed to be delivered. We are considering whether we should just leave it alone in the future. A pity!

Have eaten there a few times now. There is enough choice on the menu and the food usually tastes good. Unfortunately, the vegetarian dishes always have to be seasoned a lot and the duck isn't really crispy. The ambience is not very high quality and hygiene at the table should also be reconsidered, keyword cruets and other spices.

Catastrophe. I waited almost 2 hours for my order and the excuse from an employee was that there was just a lot going on at the moment. That can't be an excuse! Then you have to use different, unstructured or more suppliers. Food wasn't good either. Duck was old. And lemon sauce for chicken balls is not edible! I called and they wanted to pay for a meal with a large Coke. Not customer friendly. Wouldn't recommend anyone to order food there.
