We ate at Peppino for the first time today. We came especially from Zurich because we learned a lot of positive things from our environment. From the service to the food, we were very satisfied and the ambience reached us. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to further visits…:)

It's a shame that the ventilation creates unpleasant air.

We made a reservation and they told us that we ll be placed in the room nearby.. Practically it’s a Gelateria which is closed during the winter… Sadly not cosy and warm as the main restaurant.. No music, no heating, not a fast service. Food was ok

We used to drive very far to eat pizza of this quality. However, this is no longer necessary since we discovered Peppino. There is another pizzeria in Aarau that also offers Napoleonic pizzas, but Peppino is our favorite! The dough - ultra airy and the ingredients - very high quality. The pizzeria is very small but has its charm.

Ate very good pizzas. The base and sides of the pizzas are particularly well baked. This great airy edge was top quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit small, so reservations should be made on Friday and Saturday evenings. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Excellent address. Peppino offers a short and simple menu, and focuses solely on pizzas. A little more expensive than elsewhere but top quality! Well done !

Exactly an hour after entering the restaurant, we had just finished eating, at 7:15 p.m. we were asked to pay and told out that they wanted to make the table available to other guests. It was neither a friendly announcement nor a request. In 50 years of European gastronomy experience, I have never experienced such tactlessness. The enjoyment of fine pizzas came to an abrupt end.

Cute little pizzeria in the heart of Aarau's old town. The pizzas are a dream, with typically Italian, thin crust, fresh and high-quality toppings. The edge is also very fluffy. All in all highly recommended. We'd love to come back :)

The pizza is delicious, the service is quick and friendly. The location ideal. Only the location is a bit small and the price is relatively high.

Very fine pizza, probably one of the best you can find in the area. Service was quick, not particularly friendly. Now I'm a bit surprised about the billing for the "Aarau water". There were 4 of us. Two ordered beer and wine and two ordered 1 liter of tap water (I don't want to support the water industry, not because of the money...) The bill was then charged 4x3.50 for the tap water, even though we had it as a group of 2. have provided. Sure, the others got an extra glass, but if they had brought us 1l for just 2pax, we would have paid 7.-. The whole thing makes no sense to me and I find it a bit bold. Since I didn't pay the bill and only saw it at home, I couldn't ask the waiter about it and would like to point this out to the restaurant. Buon Appetito!

Pizzas are really awesome!! For me 7 out of 5 stars!! But guys... your salad... Are you really serious? We watched and were totally amazed. Ready-made green salad from a bag and ready-made salad dressing from a bottle?! That really doesn't do the rest justice and deducts 3 stars from the 7 stars = 4 stars. Please let me know if the salad and salad dressing are also fresh. Service and ambience are good. We'd love to come back!

Unreliable!! We wanted to make a reservation, but he just said, “Let’s have a look.” That is not the purpose of a reservation! When we arrived he wanted to give us a seat outside at 15°. Never again!

We passed by by chance and didn't regret our decision to eat pizza here! Really fine Neapolitan pizza with great dough. The service was also good. Only the music could have been a little more Italian. ;) We will be back definitely!

We were at Peppino on Friday, July 7, 2023, completely spontaneously and without a reservation. We were greeted very friendly by a young waitress (Bernasconi) and shown to a free table. The whole ambience, the service and especially the food were excellent! We can only warmly recommend Peppino!

I've read more and more reviews about "arrogant staff" and I didn't have that impression at the beginning of our visit... however, over time this impression changed significantly, so we now have our own opinion. The order was forgotten, but they didn't communicate this transparently, they just got a "it's coming soon" several times. The waiting time was ultimately 50 minutes, even though it wasn't full time. The food itself is very good. The style of the pizzeria is modern and simple - really nice. I also like that the selection on the menu is rather small, but the quality is good 👍🏼 Despite a reservation, we were seated outside in cool temperatures because everything inside was already occupied.

Probably the best pizza in Aarau. Unfortunately, the service never impressed me. I've been there several times and each time the staff seemed arrogant and not very attentive. It seems like you have to speak Italian to get good service. I would also appreciate it if you could also eat dessert. Addition from August 7th, 2023: The owner and I were able to exchange information in writing. They have now also adapted the menu and desserts are available. I really appreciated that my feedback was taken seriously. I would be happy to adjust the rating from 3 to 4 stars.

We arrive at the great Peppino, the best Neapolitan pizzeria in Switzerland, for the third evening in a row and ask not to eat pizza. Only Mimmo could make us have dinner without pizza. How tasty!!! Top service and environment.

One of the best pizzerias, not just in Aarau but overall. It's always a good sign if a restaurant focuses on one thing. The menu consists of about ten pizzas - and that's it. The pizzas are made Napoli-style to perfection, with a thick, soft crust. All our pizzas were delicious. Fast and friendly service.

Food was great, we ordered pizza. The edge was crispy but still soft on the inside. Service that day left a lot to be desired. One of my colleagues was given Coca-Cola. (Accidentally) The atmosphere is very nice and we were lucky that a few street musicians on the corner felt moved to make music.

Pizzeria in the center of Aarau, a very small place, a shame because it could always be full even if it were bigger. Quite narrow choice of pizzas, drinks menu with different choices. The place is small, but clean and nice. The staff is family-like, very friendly. The pizzas were good, although some ingredients were of a mediocre standard, which could very well be improved given the cost of a single pizza. I've already been twice, I'll definitely come back sometime.

For me the BEST PIZZA far and wide. Even in Italy, I had never had such good pizza. Go and enjoy! But be careful: reservations are a must. After all, it is the smallest restaurant in the city of Aarau. ;-)

Best pizza I've ever had. Normally I rarely eat pizza at Italian restaurants. But the pizza at Peppino was gone within 20 minutes. She was sooooo fine! The staff was very friendly and authentic and very fair prices. Be sure to go and get an ice cream 1 meter away after your pizza. I'll be back :-)

Unfortunately Peppino was closed for summer holidays!!! Still had a great ice cream at Fab & John and a great Italian atmosphere. Service was very very personable and friendly! il love Italy❤️❤️❤️

Pizza was really tasty and the atmosphere was also very nice. Unfortunately the service wasn't that great. The empty drinks were on the table from start to finish and we had to make the waiter finally clear our plates. Finally we ordered an espresso, which we were then served in a paper cup. An absolute no-go for me!!

I was there last week. The location is very very nice, the staff and the boss very polite and funny at the same time. I will come back very very often, the food was excellent. I can only recommend it.

A cute, smaller restaurant in Aarau. Due to the weather we sat inside. Friendly young German gentleman served us. The pizzas were delivered very quickly and were extremely tasty. Gladly again.

Don't get too excited but... It was the best pizza that I had (even better then Mezzero's pizza) You first look and by pure curiosity and without anybody notice, you pinch the pizza border. This is your first contact and you can't believe. You think to yourself:"naaaah. I need to pinch it again". But on this second time that shy pinch becomes in bigger pinch. You put it in your mouth and imediatly you start feeling the outside crunchiness. Now, you start realizing that the dough has this squeechiness feel... Nah... I need another bite.... What?! I almost died with this stretchy cheese sticked on my throat... Amazing cheese... Should I ask where can I buy this mozzarella so I can do this pizza at home?! Naaaah... You will never reach this level.... Maybe is better to come here tomorrow to have the same pizza but now... With the mozzarella di buffalla on top.

Pizza ok, but not great. Price performance doesn't fit. Worth a maximum of 18 per pizza. Dough is mediocre with no taste. Delivery with Uber was a disaster... never again! Staff very friendly therefore 3*
