Phra Nakhon in Baden

We reserved in advance and mentioned our relatively small time slot. We were then greeted very friendly and escorted to the table. Aperitif, study the menu, choose and order. Everything worked out great. Wonderful starters, excellently coordinated main courses, everything was simply very good. Great service, everything is so uncomplicated at the big table. We recommend. Lovely again. Be sure to reserve, it's worth it!

A Thai restaurant to our taste - the room is stylishly decorated, dishes are decorated with fresh orchid flowers, you immediately feel very comfortable. The entire team is extremely friendly, courteous and competent and responds to guests' wishes. Each dish can be ordered according to the spiciness and taste you desire. We were celebrating a birthday and the group ordered different dishes. Everyone was delighted and praised the excellently cooked and beautifully presented meals. What's really nice is that the head chef introduces herself personally and asks whether the guests are satisfied. - We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Phra Nakhon - one of the fine dining authentic Thai cuisines located in the hub of Baden offers you plethora of delightful selections ; Tom Yum Kung (Highly recommended) , Red curry (This is truly Thai taste), Pad Thai, Thai spring rolls stuffed with minced pork and vegetables and other dialect dishes of Thailand. Admittedly, as being a Thai person, I truly recommend this restaurant for you to bring all family to enjoy a wonderful meal with excellent service from amazing staff and cozy ambience with Thai style decoration. 10/10

3 friends first time out in Baden...and what a find !! Family run (thai /swiss couple,super nice) attention to detail( soup served very uniquely) portions very decent size, decore inside wonderful and outside magic of old town wherever you sit. Even though they were very busy(private function and full floor), food came out at a steady pace... and food...full of fresh ingredients, and you can feel the love and passion that goes into it. Staff wonderful..our German waiter was super professional but as well hilarious!! It was so much fun. Definitely will go back for more very soon!! My new favourite!!

Authentic Thai cuisine - Arroi maag We had made a reservation two days in advance and were able to choose whether it was on Sunday or Monday - when we arrived everything was fully booked. So it's better to reserve in advance. When the weather is nice you can sit outside, but when it rains the seats inside are reserved and service is provided there. Apparently we had found an outdated menu online, which caused some confusion when ordering (new dishes with the same number). The starters, curries and all other dishes we ordered were excellently prepared and enjoyed by everyone. What was particularly noticeable were the many details such as placemats, pots and cutlery, which exuded a Thailand feeling. A real recommendation and enrichment for Baden - we will be back.

A Thai restaurant that is similar to the food I've eaten in Thailand since I've visited Switzerland many times. But I really like this shop. The shop is very beautiful and the atmosphere is very good. The service staff is very good. The owner of the shop is very cute and friendly. But whatever is the most delicious food. There's also papaya salad with fermented fish. A (foreigner) employee came and asked us if the papaya salad had fermented fish in it. We were shocked and very happy to eat fermented fish salad ☺️ Stir-fried minced pork with basil is the best, just like everything in Thailand. We will definitely come back to the shop again. Recommend this Thai restaurant ❤️❤️

I simply cannot find the words to adequately express my appreciation to all the staff at Phra Nakhon Restaurant (Baden). First of all, about service, the waiters are very attentive, kind, helpful, in short, true professionals! You can experience the attentiveness and speed that you get here in few places. I must add that it was a full house. The appearance of the restaurant itself is magnificent, as soon as you enter the restaurant, it makes you feel that you are on Thai soil. The tables, the table setting, the atmosphere of the restaurant is the calm Thai music, a simply captivating and at the same time fabulous sight unfolds before our eyes as soon as we enter the restaurant. But the biggest surprises were caused by the food. The world of flavors that I was lucky enough to taste there is simply dazzling. You can feel in each dish that the Chefs put their hearts into it to enchant all their guests with the most delicious Thai dishes. In addition, since I would like to invite my family to dinner soon, I asked if they could recommend this dish to a gluten-sensitive person, and it turned out that they were ready to serve us, of course it wouldn't hurt to let them know this! Summarizing everything, I would only add that this is a 5-star place that I would gladly recommend to anyone, it is worth booking a table, because without a reservation there is little chance of getting a seat. The Phra Nakhon is located at Limmathof and does not have its own parking spaces. The restaurant is very pleasantly furnished and clean. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The selection of dishes is small, but everything is freshly prepared. A large part of the menu changes every 4 months. Priced at the higher end but absolutely justified for the quality.

Authentic Thai restaurant that scores with delicious dishes and a cozy atmosphere. The Pad Kra Pao was bombastic! I was also happy that they offer Thai ice tea with condensed milk. I felt like I was in Thailand that evening until the bill came :) Please take the larger Changsis range for the ultimate Thai feeling! Cheers, see you next time.

Overall nice ambience and staff, however, the food was a bit salty and 12 chf for a bottle of water (more than most starters!) is pretty ridiculous.

We finally managed to pay a visit to Phra Nakhon and we weren't disappointed! The food was very tasty and authentic, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was harmonious. What is particularly positive is the possibility of ordering certain dishes as vegetarian/vegan and also having a say in the level of spiciness of the dishes. In terms of price, it's certainly on the upper limit, but the quality of the food is right. What we didn't like so much, however, is the fact that we paid almost the full "meat price" for the vegetarian/vegan version. In our opinion, this is not entirely justified and is somewhat exaggerated. We will be back!

There were a group of 8 girls who were basically allowed to have a room just for us. The food was super delicious, the chef came to see us briefly, everything was fresh and homemade. You eat with your eyes, every plate was beautifully decorated. Two thumbs up for her. The boss David and our waiter Julian were very personable. Julian was able to recommend a good wine with our meal and was totally attentive. It was a great evening. Thanks.

I have been able to enjoy the best Thai cuisine at Phra Nakhon Baden twice. The hosts, Ms. and Mr. Tschümperlin, welcomed us warmly and you could immediately see how much they enjoyed their job. The well-arranged menu offers a selection of the best that Thailand has to offer. The spiciness, which is common practice in Thai cuisine, has, in my opinion, been well adapted to the Central European palate. The service was very accommodating and consistently served me the three best beers in Thailand! I also really liked the presentation of the dishes, especially the Phra Nakhon platter for two and the show that you can enjoy when you order the "Tom Kha Kai" soup. The enchanting ambience and the smell of the Thai curry took me back to my last vacation in Thailand. Again any time!

Highly recommended Thai restaurant in the Bäderquartier. Great color concept in the newly renovated rooms, very attentive hosts and a varied menu. As a vegetarian, I would particularly like to emphasize that many of the dishes can be ordered vegan/vegetarian - I have never experienced this in a Thai restaurant, great! The curry I ordered (No. 18 on the menu) was marked with 2 chili peppers, but was clearly not spicy enough for my taste. Still very tasty, we will definitely be back, thank you for the cozy evening!

The atmosphere is unique. Friendly staff 10/10 but I'm quite disappointed with the food taste. Smelly pork +too salty (Padgapraomoo), fried noodles that the noodles are overcooked (Padkeemaogai).

On the recommendation of friends, we made a reservation at Phra Nakhon and had a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very stylishly furnished and you feel very comfortable right from the start. The service is extremely attentive and leaves nothing to be desired. When it comes to the food selection, there is something for everyone and it tastes excellent. Since my partner and I are big fans of Asia and like to travel to the Far East, we can make a good comparison and confirm the authentic cuisine. You feel like you're in another country for just a few hours. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it.

The Restaurant has only recently opened and is in a good location where you can have a walk after dinner by the river. It’s opens from Thursday to Monday from 1800-2300. The Service is really good and the place is cosy with only 34 Seats plus an extra room with 16 more. It is somewhere where you really want to stay the whole evening and try the whole menu from the aperitif to the dessert. This is only one of the few places where I eat dessert ( Sticky Rice with Mango ) The Cocktails are also good ( I ordered: “Sabai Sabai” means “Hakuna Matata” - same same but different ) The Price is OK. You can pay circa CHF 88 per Person for everything with a nice evening out. It’s a place which make you feel it’s the right time, the right place with the right people and the special thing are the starters - Tom Yam Gung - Tom Kha Gai. With this Restaurant, the food is just the beginning and it’s decent. What make this Restaurant so special is the atmosphere and the location. P.S. I am Isaan.

The first impression is the best fantastic of traditional Thai decoration of Phra Nakhon Baden Switzerland 🇨🇭. Where is the best delightful of traditional Thai food and special of Thai desserts. We had excellent of good service . I am lucky to meet the beautiful chef . Chef Joy with the smiling face with greeting and also friendly.
