We were able to enjoy the last warm autumn day on the terrace with a delicious meal. The sunset was simply gorgeous. This evening will remain unforgettable in your memory. Very nice staff. We would be happy to come back.

Top location right on the lake, which of course comes into its own, especially at one of the outdoor tables. If there are a lot of guests, the service can take a while, but the wait is worth it for the excellent fish.

It's a shame that there are almost no gluten-free dishes. It would certainly be easy to offer a gluten-free pasta or a gluten-free burger or a gluten-free pizza. My colleague only had the fish meunière. But it was delicious. And it's a shame you can't book online. The telephone is often not used.

We had an easy meal here in the late lunch time. The view was lovely. The food was good but not great. The portion size was on the smaller side, service and price were typical for Switzerland.

Very fine dishes and desserts. Very cozy, although usually busy place for a coffee or aperitif right by the lake. The service is very helpful and efficient.

We were late and almost didn't get anything to eat, but the staff was still so nice and organized a pizza for us!! It was really delicious and the atmosphere was great! Great restaurant with a view of the lake!

Unfortunately, the waiting times are too long, both for drinks and food. At least that was the case with us. We spent 2 hours here and had a salad as a starter and a pizza.

Great pike perch and strawberry cake

Ate very well and the service from the two younger men (Italians) was top. Unfortunately, only the wicker chairs in the back area are really comfortable, the front ones are a disaster if you want to sit for longer. Pillows would be great. The really fine food is in the upper price segment.

Nice location, unfortunately some of the dishes are disproportionately overpriced, which are actually starters... We had crispy fish, a bit of breaded salmon (no side dishes, not even toast?? But declared as "classics"...) each for 26.- and for half a liter of water over 6.- paid! But pizza prices are fair and pizzas look good. I would change the "classic" section to starters...And a little toast with the breaded salmon or a few fries with the mini portion of chnusperli.

I've dined there with 4 kids and 3 adults. At first, my impression was good, I heard good things, and the place was almost full. The service was great. The two of them ran the entire restaurants seamlessly. As we were waiting years for our food to arrive, when it did, my lactose free order came with a giant dollop of herb butter, I was told that I can eat it as it was lactose free (hmmmm) never the less, the server took it back to the kitchen and when my steak came back it was only half of what it initially was cause the chef just cut a junk off on the side where the butter was and without cooking, slapped it back on my plate. Although the vegetables were tasty and well cooked. My steak was half raw and half cooked. (Must be a new cooking method that "pauli" teaches. Anyway, I hope they can take this as constructive feedback and do better in the future.

Five of us were there on Sunday (July 9th, 2023) and sat down at a table. As soon as the waiter came, we weren't even greeted... since one of us wasn't wearing a t-shirt, he was told to put it on. Understandable. After that, only 3 out of 5 people wanted to order something. The waiter then said that in Switzerland it is like this that when you sit at the table you have to order something... I would like to know in which Switzerland this is the case? Afterwards we were served by another waiter and we asked him if we all needed to order something. The answer was “No, you don’t have to”. At the end we also wanted to pay so we could leave and called a waiter three times... no one was at all interested in joining us. One of us had to go to the front and ask if someone could come to us as we wanted to pay! Summary: Food, location and view are great! Unfortunately, the staff isn't like that... but as you can see from the other recessions, it's always been that way. A little tip: show employees a little more motivation and take fewer “go breaks”.

After a lovely day, we went to the Pier Essen for the second time because we wanted to give a second chance to a nicer restaurant. The first time we had to wait about 45 minutes for the food. This can happen with a lot of people in the restaurant. The second time was probably rougher what was wrong we had to wait about 30 minutes for the starters and after that we didn't get it for almost an hour, this is not possible because the restaurant was already half empty and hardly anything came from the kitchen, and our pizzas weren't a consolation best I've ever eaten Greets Hedi

It is a nice place .i was there 2 times The second time i ordered the beef tartar they forgot the toast was almost finished before they delivered the toast bread. Not enough employees when the restaurant is full.

Nice restaurant right on the lake in Schmerikon. The food was tasty but nothing special, I expected more. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the Legendary Pier Burger has nothing to do with legendary. Unfortunately a simple burger. The staff was quite chaotic and stressed at the beginning, but friendly afterwards. Unfortunately, the reservation by telephone 3 days in advance didn't work, luckily we got the last table.

Yesterday, May 4th, we celebrated a very extraordinary birthday with 6 people. Because what we were able to experience at Pier8716 in terms of cuisine and service can only be described as “excellent”. Or to put it briefly and without going into detail: IT CAN'T GET BETTER! We would love to come back there.

It was really nice to sit right by the lake and enjoy a piece of homemade cake. Very nice atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly. It is very well located. The food looked very good, but we didn't try it.

wonderful view friendly service

There were 6 of us there on July 2nd, 2022. Really underground... -3 (minus) stars The waiters (there were actually several) didn't think it was necessary to clean our table for 15 minutes. Even though you are placed. Then only one of us wanted an appetizer. When we tried to cancel it while ordering, we just said it was already out. Well, then let's take everything together, including the starter with the main courses. Of course it didn't work. If you want something to drink, you have to loudly point out to the waiters, if they come and don't all take turns smoking on the side, that you want something to drink. It was over 35 degrees on the aforementioned Saturday. Actually it should be the other way around, the waiter(s) ask me if I would like something else to drink. Not to mention that they should also refill from my bottle... But if you just smoke. There were also many wasps that day. We caught them with a napkin and a glass. We pointed this out to the waiter when we were clearing away. He released right in front of our eyes/face and laughed loudly. This borders on bodily harm! When the main course finally came, we only had ketchup with the fries when we asked. But there was only an empty plastic bottle from the local retailer. When we pointed this out to the waiter, there were only bags like those at McDonalds. I could hardly believe my eyes... But it wasn't a fairy tale. So all in all, a s....load. Never again!!!!

The entire team did a sensational job on our wedding dinner! The service was extremely friendly, personal and passionate - things that are rarely experienced, especially in the current catering situation. The cuisine fascinated us with its quality, taste and presentation. No one expected the opportunity to order à la carte with such a large group and was therefore even more appreciated. We had coffee and croissants at the Pier 8716 restaurant. The service was impeccable. First, we were asked what type of coffee each member of the hiking group wanted. The peaks were already on the tables, and came in 3 different varieties. And just like that, the coffee we ordered was already served. Exemplary!! Bravo. 👍
