Pizzeria Alpenblick in Arbon

The Alpenblick Pizzeria in Arbon really impressed me! From the friendly service to the great pizza, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. No matter how full the restaurant is, you never wait long and you will always receive excellent service. The staff is attentive and always has a smile on their faces. It is a pleasure to dine here. But now to the actual main attraction - the pizza! I can safely say that this is one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. The dough is perfectly thin and crispy, the topping is generous and the ingredients are of the highest quality. The variety of flavors and combinations is great and I always find it difficult to choose just one type. Even when the restaurant is full, waiting times remain minimal. The pizzas are prepared and served quickly without compromising on quality. It's really remarkable how well the staff keeps track of everything. The Alpenblick Pizzeria convinced me completely. The friendly service and incredibly delicious pizza make this restaurant a real insider tip. No matter whether you come as a couple or with a large group, you will always be well looked after here. I now come back again and again and have become a regular guest 🫶😇

For me, the sheet pizza is a dream, delicately crispy and warm for a long time. It has plenty of toppings and tastes wonderful. I ordered a red bean salad with onions and spicy house sauce in advance - super tasty! Very nice and attentive staff.

We went to a company dinner. They were very nice and attentive. The pizzas are very good. I recommend it to everyone.

We haven't been to Alpenblick for a while, but every time it's an experience to order the pizza calzone with ingredients of your choice. I chose chopped spinach, egg and garlic as ingredients. The dough is slightly crispy, not too doughy, and aromatic. This paired with the filling is a culinary delight. The best calzone in Switzerland. The staff was friendly and attentive, top 👍

The Alpenblick team really doesn't make it easy. We don't come that often, but we always come to see if there's something to complain about at some point. None (we'll be back) The team is super friendly, you get the right answer to stupid questions. Soooo funny. The food is just as it should be. Top. Fresh ingredients, hot and sufficient. A business that has worked with the same staff and menu for years does what? All right. If you don't like something here you should really go to another restaurant. There is enough. The Pizzeria Alpenblick has been around for a long time and the quality is still very good. Yesterday we went there to eat again for a long time. The restaurant is located right on the main street, but very easy to reach. Parking spaces are available in front of and behind the restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was also very good. The pizza is a little smaller, but higher and is served in a hot pan, so it stays warm for a long time, that's great! In my opinion the price/performance ratio is very good! I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

No card payment possible. It said something about “they become transparent customers”. It's a shame, because the food is actually good and the pizza is different than many other pizzerias. But in this day and age, only offering bar is not good customer service. Unfortunately, the next ATM isn't exactly around the corner.

Amazing place, friendly staff and extremely tasty pasta and pizza

Highly recommended for pizza lovers who would like to try something different. We were there spontaneously two weeks ago while passing through and tried the recommended pizzas in a baking tray on a wooden board. Legendary! Perfect dough, well topped and warm until the end, like the first bite. We recommend. The next time we are traveling in beautiful Thurgau, we will definitely plan this as a stopover. Keep it up!

The service was very friendly, hence the 3 stars. Unfortunately, I didn't really like the food. The carrot salad had a strange taste. But the rest of the salad was ok and the pepperoncini salad dressing was even delicious! Unfortunately, the pasta wasn't to my taste at all, bland, boring and flooded with so much sauce.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but that was really unpleasant. For lunch I ordered a caprese salad, it didn't look good, it was served with a ready-made sauce and the mozzarella smelled. I heard your pizzas are good, so please try to make a good Italian sauce yourself, don't use ready-made salads from the bag and definitely keep the food fresh, if the mozzarella stinks you know it has to be thrown away Customers' plates in a restaurant.

I chose this restaurant because of the relatively good reviews. The restaurant has a somewhat dated ambience (70s style) but is otherwise well maintained and clean. The boss comes to the table personally and warmly welcomes you. Unfortunately, all of this cannot console us for the disappointment when we received our three pizzas: All three were served in some kind of fireproof dish with a relatively small diameter (25 - 30 cm). They were red hot and you could still hear the fat sizzling at the bottom of the bowls. The pizza was about 2 - 3 cm high and reminds you of a cheese/vegetable feast. As surprising as the pizzas looked, they also tasted surprising. Far from the good taste of real Italian pizzas, they only came close to the taste of ready-made pizzas from the supermarket. When I asked whether the mushrooms on the pizza were fresh, the boss replied that that was not possible because fresh mushrooms would "burn" due to the heat of the oven. (Funny, I'm hearing this for the first time). In the end there were rather unappetizing mushrooms from the jar or canned food on top. All the pizzas reminded us of the USA, where such "quality" would be acceptable at best in a fast food restaurant down the street, but not in a restaurant that calls itself a pizzeria. Why this “pizzeria” enjoys such a high Google review remains a complete mystery to us.

Taste was zero, I felt like I was on a diet and in the hospital when it came to eating. A pizza with spinach and mushrooms is more expensive than one with meat on it? Cheeky! And they charge just as much to order and pick up as if you were to eat in a restaurant! That's a no-go! Because I don't sit there, make anything dirty or take up a table.!!! So all in all not even worth one star!

Been to this pizzeria with friends. Where does the boss (Alfio) greet the guests at the door with a personal handshake despite the restaurant being full? I didn't feel the rush that was there for the servive. Drinks and food arrived promptly and at the same time for all 12 at the table. Great logistics - there were also other guests to serve. As a garlic fan, I was absolutely thrilled with my meal! I would recommend booking in advance on the weekend!! Thank you for the lovely evening with you)))

We had dinner with our children (already grown up) on Saturday evening. The waitress (Melanie) was very friendly and accommodating as always. Alfio (the boss) assigned us the parking space because there were extremely many cars. There was a “new” pizzaiola at work since the other woman had the day off. She made the pizzas excellently - just the way we like it. Nice and crispy on the edge and enough “material” on it. This pizzeria beats all pizzerias far and wide by far. We'd love to come back! What I also appreciate is that the workforce rarely changes. You know each other and know what you like. Also a special thank you to the kitchen for the delicious salad sauce. Alpenblick team you are the BEST!!

Unexpectedly this restaurant was a real find! The owner is incredibly nice and approachable. The restaurant has an outdoor area and a nice little waterfall in the entrance. I tried the pizzas which were made in a different style to what I was used to and they were delicious! Will go again and again 👍🏽

We spent a few days in Arbon. Finally, we searched for a good restaurant on Google. Basically, we are very cautious about reviews. However, these were true! Very good food! Nice and courteous service! The pizzas were perfect and also the price-performance ratio. We have never eaten a pizza so good and with so much filling! Since we couldn't eat all of the pizzas, the waitress asked us if we would like to take them home; she would be happy to pack them up. We very rarely experience something like this and you can do something about food waste! If the pizzeria wasn't so far away from us, we would come by more often! Only recommended!

For me the best pizza in the world. Hot until the last bite. the ham, cheese, mushrooms, everything fresh and prepared with a lot of love, it screams for more, you'll be addicted to this pizza. Service top, kitchen top and the pizzas top from me definitely 5 points and the level has always been the same for many, many years. Daniela and Alvio are the dream host couple in Arbon, wonderful if you don't eat there it's your own fault.

If I pick up a pizza and have to pay the full price at the table like in a restaurant, I expect at least a normal-sized pizza. (I don't eat them in a tray at home) Otherwise ok.

Reviews are intended to show the quality of service in a restaurant so that a future guest can assess whether they want to eat there. As a guest, I am relatively uninterested in the host's and especially his guests' views on politics' Corona strategy. It would therefore be nice if the comments focused more on the quality in the company again.

We just ate pizza and pasta. Both were delicious and we would love to come back! The pasta was a large portion and the pizza had a crispy base, as Alpenblick is popular and known for.

I cannot confirm what Alec Reinhart describes! The pizzas are cast iron pizzas with plenty of toppings and stay hot for a very long time. I think you can happily pay 16 francs for it. The great service from the friendly and forthcoming service should also be mentioned. I really enjoy going to the Alpenblick and will continue to visit there regularly. Keep it up!

In my experience, this is my absolute favorite pizzeria. The pizza comes in a metal tray and is still perfectly hot even after 40 minutes. The ambience is great, the service and the owner are very friendly and attentive. An absolute insider tip in the Arbon region, Lake Constance. Always worth a visit, either with the family, as a couple as a date night or for a business lunch. Absolutely top.

The garlic mussels and shrimp skewers were excellent. Very friendly staff and the taste is great. We will definitely come here again. Regardless, the price was reasonable.

During our tour around Lake Constance we stopped in Arbon and chose this pizzeria for dinner by chance. The pizzas here are served on wooden boards in a metal pan. The pizzas were extremely tasty, the dough was perfect. The service was friendly and accommodating. You immediately notice the friendly human atmosphere. We agreed: This pizzeria was a good choice… ☺️👍

I can only recommend the pizzeria to everyone. We are from Chur and go to Arbon especially for the great pizzas. I think that says it all! Unfortunately there is NO comparable pizzeria in Chur.
