Pizzeria Ristorante Molino in Zermatt

Amazing service, great food! I forgot my backpack there and they shipped it to Zurich the next day! That's extraordinary service! I had a pizza with extra burrata which was delicious, served in a relaxed but lively atmosphere. Thank you Francesco for the excellent service!

Very disappointing food. Truffle tagliolini are basically a plate of spaghetti bathed in a tasteless liquid, served lukewarm. Considering the price, spaghetti is expensive.

A shame Apart from the relatively pleasant waiters, the food puts Zermatt to shame Tagliolini with truffle…??? Pasta without any taste. Never in my life had such tasteless pasta. Veal scalopines with lemon, with 3 vegetables and no accompaniments. Pasta requested as an extra is charged 6.-!! Never set foot there. There are enough other places worth visiting in Zermatt

Delicious pizzas and a friendly atmosphere. Also, they usually always have some tables available, as the space is rather large (compared to other places in Zermatt, even on a weekend you likely don't necessarily need a reservation).

Ordered Minestrone soup, it was hot water with some pieces of green cabbage, no taste at all. Costs €23 for a plate.. Simply outrageous. So be warned.

We were seated quickly and had quick service throughout our time at the restaurant. We were seated near a street-facing window and were able to watch night descend on the town as we enjoyed a nice glass of the house wine. We ordered lasagna, a pizza, and beef ravioli. All the dishes were quite good, and dining here was worth our time, especially since we had many opportunities to try different places. The bread was simple but good.

Careful. It's a rip-off place. Our neighbors got their food cold, we have been charged items we didn't order. Food was mediocre at best. Can't recommend it.

I went to grab some pizza and tiramisu for take away. When I got home I saw that the tiramisu was missing so I called the restaurant. They sent a taxi to deliver the missing item, much appreciated! Pizza tasted amazing

The Pizza was delicious. Lasagna was a little too cheesy but still tasty.

We were eager for a culinary break from Swiss cuisine, so dropped in here for lunch. Pleasant service and quite tasty pasta and pizza.

Good restaurant on the main street of Zermatt. We got a small pizza and 3 pastas with different sauces. The bolognese had enough tomato in the sauce. Good prices and good service.

On our first visit, the food was delicious and the service was extremely attentive. Unfortunately, we weren't quite as satisfied with our subsequent visits.

We spent a lovely evening at Molino with very fine food and great service. We would love to come again.

My family and I went in for a pizza and some pasta tonight and all started relatively well. They were a bit busy but seated us quickly. We were served drinks and bread promptly which was great but no glasses for our water which wasn’t great but no big deal. We asked for a high chair for our 2 years which was when things started to fall apart. That took 20 minutes which wasn’t great either but ok no problem. Sofia our server finally took our order and disappeared. 45 minutes later she returned to our table saying “big problem” our order had been lost! There was no offer of any comp app or salad or anything. We waited 15 more minutes and left after over an hour having gotten nothing to eat but 4 small pieces of bread. An absolute and total disappointment. DONT BOTHER.

Good Italian restaurant in the center of Zermatt. We spontaneously went to the restaurant quite late after 9pm on a Saturday and it was still very full. The service was very friendly and generally quick, although our drinks were initially forgotten or served late - but these were not charged later, which is very friendly. The food was OK and tasty, but not special. Unfortunately, the food arrived at the table a little cooler than expected. Overall it's not bad but just average compared to other restaurants in Zermatt.

We came in as a party of 4 on 22.Feb without reservation at 18:30 and were nicely attended and sent to a table. We took 2 menu dishes and were positively surprised with the taste and presentation. To close, a spoon with a delicious tiramisu and a hot beverage of our choice. The waiter, Giovanni, was great! The restaurant was packed 30 minutes later, so I recommend to reserve a table if you plan on having dinner post 18:30.

Highly recommend visiting Molino, great location, AMAZING STAFF no matter how busy you will always receive excellent service. Special thanks to Mattia who took great care of us. Of course the restaurant has delicious food, big portions and excellent value, especially for Zermatt! Build your own pizza or pasta 👌. You will not leave hungry!

What a great restaurant!!! We got to know Molino and their lovely staff on our third day in Zermatt and keep coming back since then :) Their pizza and pasta is always super fresh, so tasty!!! To make it even better the staff are so friendly and caring. Mattia has looked after us for 2 days in a row, excellent customer service, thanks Mattia! Also thanks to Russo who we met in our last day. They all speak so many languages including Portuguese. We really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Thanks guys :)

Overpriced for what it was. Service was poor, considering it is a large chain restaurant. Not a particularly welcoming environment either. Food was good but I'd hope so for £22 for a pizza.

We drank an aperol spritz and beer. For dinner there was bruscetta. Everything was tasty but nothing extraordinary.

We often went to Molino and we loved their pizzas ever since they started in Zermatt. This time they were hugely a disappointment and we and friends we invited never more. Some of use were charged about 40 euros per one pizza. So they raised their price to milk the rich crowd that comes to zermatt. Ok. Then they were charging each of us 4 chf (little less than 5 Euros) for glass of TAP WATER. This mostly illegal in most countries. That did it. Obviously the old management sold out the restaurant to cowboys. Shame on Molino and shame on Zermatt government for allowing these people.

I was looking for a place where the kitchen was open in the afternoon in Zermatt and I accidentally went in, and it was a very satisfying meal. I ordered Miss Italia, Tagliatelle ragu pasta, and it was the best food I‘ve eaten recently. Especially the pizza has some price, but it was worth it. The review said that the server was busy and the food was coming late, so I was worried, but not at all! It was served quickly and kindly. Grazie!

We ordered a steak, 120 grams for 49 Swiss francs. It was just a small piece of meat on an empty white plate with no decoration and no juice (we asked for juice and was told there was no juice). It was better than at home. You have to be perfunctory to eat steak. It’s ridiculously expensive. Don’t order this dish when you come to this restaurant. The pizza tastes good and the portion is sufficient. The espresso is great and has a rich flavor.

The food is very delicious. We ate pizza and liked it very much. Pizzas are Sicilian style. We also had Panna Cotta and it was delicious.

When you go to a pizzeria and the workers are Italian that is the first good point. They are very nice and the food was super good. Even the olive oil in the table is virgin extra super good quality. The price is good for what you are paying considering this is Switzerland.

We felt we were treated very attentively, but unfortunately we forgot the backpack with the house keys and passport. It was fantastic that we got a call after our return and a few days later a package with our backpack. Mille Gracie... This is a true gift and excellent service!

It is not the excellence of Zermatt, but it is not a place to be rejected either, the staff is attentive and prepared, the service is really good, the menu is vast and of quality

Salad was ok but rather disappointing for an Italian restaurant. Pizza, however, was very tasty. The service is a complete disaster and 80% of the workforce could be fired without any loss of quality. I'D RATHER GO TO THE PIZZERIA OSTERIA IN ZERMATT

We went to Molino for pizza with the MC Switzerland team (30 people). The service and pizza were world class! We would like to thank the entire Molino team for their hospitality and the delicious pizza! We'd love to come back :-)

Have been here many times and have always been satisfied. Even when it was busy, we always got a table easily. Service friendly. Pizza very good.

Good place to eat and have a beer after an excursion! The place is somewhat expensive although I don't think anything in the area is much cheaper. The panties were spectacular. The waiters very attentive. We arrived from an excursion around 4 in the afternoon and they fed us without any problem despite the hours. We were almost alone 🤣

Average food, terrible service with a bad attitude. Understand Zermatt can be pricey but this was easily the most overpriced, undervalued meal we had in 3 days.

Authentic Italian food, not too much, not too little, and considering this is zermatt the prices were not too bad. Will definitely reccomend. The staff are all Italian and are super friendly.

The food was acceptable. However, we had to wait 90 minutes for our main course. This is clearly too much. The ambience is ok.

Fantastic, crisp pizza crust. They run the ovens at 350C. Pricing is good for Zermatt. We were able to walk in during lunch. Their Gelato is a touch icy but really tasty.

The service was incredible. The food itself is okay. It's overpriced, but that's expected I guess. We spent 140 CHF for a dinner for two and weren't that satisfied. The potato-leek soup was good, the truffle pasta was underwhelming with little flavour, the tortellini with sage-butter was decent. The Panna Cotta was decent too. Overall, for the price we paid, we expected way better food. The wine selection is nice though!

Overall delicious food, depending on the time of the day, you might need to wait. We suggest house lasagne.

The food was good, unfortunately the pizza was a bit cold. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was really cold inside so we left straight after eating.

I enjoyed the seafood pizza! Fresh seafood paired well with mozzarella. It would be even better if pizza is less wet. Ragu tagliatelle was average. Friendly staff. Would be good if there’s an english menu.

The service was very bad. For the children's menu, the water/syrup and dessert didn't come, the waiter drained the wine, the chili oil and parmesan we ordered didn't come, the pizza was black and dry and the pasta was softly cooked. The service team argued among themselves and was unmotivated. I would never go here again and I'm disappointed.

What a quaint Italian restaurant. They have a nice selection of both pasta and wine. Being typical American's, it was great that all of their staff that we dealt with spoke English. I had their lasagna and my son their pasta with meat sauce. We both noticed a spice that we were not used to in red sauce. Still can't place it, but it was bright and refreshing. We were the second table seated after they opened, so our service was very attentive. While I look forward to trying other restaurants on my next trip to Zermatt, I will definitely return to this one.

Ate a Pizza Sofia Loren, usually a must at Molino. Not up to what I'm used to being served, especially at the price of this pizza!

If you think there's no good food in Switzerland, please do yourself a favour and try their homemade pasta here. We order frutti di mare with tagliatelle + carbonara with tagliolini. Defintely one of my highlights in Zermatt. BONUS: if you're heading to Grindelwald, please also try MERCATO in Grindelwald. Cheers.

Went there spontaneously yesterday, Sunday evening. Italian atmosphere, very nice service. The pizza was average, the dough was underbaked. The spaghetti carbonara was not freshly prepared. Location is particularly good in the afternoon when the sun is shining. DrJP G, Solothurn

Soup was lukewarm. Got the wrong pizza. Waited 25 minutes for the food, the terrace was only half full. The staff wasn't exactly friendly. The food was just average. 1 pizza with ham, 1 pizza margherita, 1 lasagne and 1 minestrone plus 3 cola with 111 francs price performance not nearly justified.

We tried their lasagna and pizza margherita and they were delicious.

Had a couple of Pizzas before as a conclusion to our visit to Zermatt. Was not disappointed as they were delicious. Service was good.

I've been there many times and it's always been good, but yesterday the table was sticky, had to wait 15 minutes for the wine and then the bottom line was that it was poured, when I told the lady, she said that's fine... .. then the spaghetti Bolognese came and it wasn't aldente. Nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was very slow despite the restaurant being almost empty. We got our coffee after we had already finished dessert.

Very good but above all very expensive!! CHF 32.- for a pizza while it costs CHF 3.50 for merchandise. The people of the upper Valais say that the tourists stay for very little time so we might as well knock them out!

The best Italian food I have ever had outside Italy! Produce is fresh, taste is authentic, ambience is wonderful. If I ever be in Zermatt, definitely this will be the go to restaurant❤️

Terrible service from the waiter. A very rude and despotic person with visitors. We left the place.

A well-attended restaurant. Nice outdoor area. Lots of stairs down to the toilet. Not ideal if you have problems walking. Nice staff, unfortunately they don't speak German very well. But with English You get through well.

I ate a sensational pizza there... the service is super friendly but a little "un"optimized, so you have to wait a little... but the beautiful outdoor area and view of the tourists walking by is definitely very entertaining. I had a nice and very tasty dinner there.
