Rani in Rüti (ZH)

We ordered 3 different dishes and were all thrilled! As we had requested, we received really spicy dishes, not the European-style dishes that are usual here. The quality was top! Next I definitely have to go to the restaurant :-) --- Recently, five of us were in the restaurant and we all enjoyed an excellent dinner. My expectations were not disappointed! The food was all really good and the service was very friendly. The ambience is bright and inviting. The guests have plenty of space at their tables. I would have imagined it to be a little more “Indian” at best.

Passed by on a whim. Actually wanted to eat pizza, then changed our minds when we saw the Indian restaurant. Friendly staff. Lunch buffet very tasty and good value for money. Found the lunch buffet selection good. Surprisingly full of diners during Saturday lunch. Would really recommend. Found the food considerably better than many other Indian restaurants here in Switzerland.

Poinz deal redeemed - super nice. Fine selection of various sauces: chicken, fish, lentils, cauliflower. Samosa etc. Will be happy to come back

Ordered “buffet”. It was very fine food, unfortunately the starters were sparsely filled and the selection wasn't very large. Two starters, 4 warm courses (3 veggies & 1 chicken) and a few salads. There was also delicious naan and rice. The service was very slow and we often had long waiting times. This was a shame. The restaurant is not very cozy, so it has a lot of potential. Good public parking nearby.

We went on vacation to Switzerland. During this time we visited the Rani. It was the first time for us to eat Indian food and what can I say. The service responded to our wishes. We were pleasantly surprised by what the chef served us on the table. Food was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. If you are near Rüti ZH, we can only recommend a visit. Kind regards

If you like Indian food, you should probably avoid this place. The waiter was hiding behind the counter and a large monitor as best he could, and he must have found a nice spot in the kitchen too, so ordering and making small requests were very difficult. However, once you got that far, he was quick and helpful. The portion sizes are probably ok in the Indian midfield. Prices are probably around 30 francs ok too. However, if you take into account the culinary art and the lack of seasoning, the bill looks different again. Composition 1- creamed spinach and pieces of meat Composition 2- masala sauce, chicken and 3 pieces of pepper In short, very very simple and without taste… The typical Indian variety of ingredients and the typical experience cannot be found in this restaurant. You may call me a liar, but I'm very surprised at how all the previous recessions came about...

Really delicious Indian food, which has a very authentic taste with a very pleasant underlying spiciness. I have tried many Indian restaurants in the past, but this restaurant clearly stood out and has been burned into my memory in a very positive way. Service is also super friendly. The price is completely reasonable for the quality of the food and drinks. Buffet approx. 45 Fr per person. Individual plate dishes between 25-30Fr. We would like to come again!

Today (Thursday) we had a lovely, small private buffet served directly at our table. The menus were all very tasty and varied, the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely evening, thank you!

The food was excellent. We were in India for a long time and I thought back to that time. Unfortunately the service is also like in India. There was also a music player playing in the background the whole time. I found this disturbing.

We have ordered from Rani several times and were thrilled. Last night we ate there for the first time so we could try out different dishes at the buffet. There are 3 different starters and 4 different main courses with rice and fresh naan bread as well as different sauces and a small salad buffet. The option to try out different things convinced us and we found the value for money (39.- for buffet) to be absolutely reasonable.

The delivery was on time. I think the prices are a bit expensive for the quality of the food. It was okay. However, we have had better Indian food. It's great that there are vegan options!

We've eaten here several times before. The new landlord has decorated the inside of the restaurant differently. The now gray walls have unfortunately retained a bunker charm - previously they were in warm ocher yellow colors and the interior was a lot friendlier, more beautiful, more decorative and more valuable. It's a shame - we liked it a lot less now, the atmosphere was now cool. I would give a maximum of 3 stars for this. The service tried hard and explained his "buffet" offering to us twice (since unfortunately he doesn't offer a self-explanatory menu...), but then he kept missing us for too long - that was a bit tedious. 4 stars for this. However, the food was really very good, especially the main courses: The "buffet" offering included butter chicken (third bowl in my photo) and lamb vindaloo (last bowl in photo) as well as aloo gobhi (cauliflower with potatoes and other things). front bowl in photo) The "salad" and "vegetable" side dishes of the starter were a bit thin. A pastry bag was on the plate (but could be reordered). The onions in the chickpea flour (see photo) were very fine. We had to look for the dish names later on the menu, which can at least be viewed online on the restaurant website. 5 stars for the food.

Fine Indian food. We were 6 adults and 3 children. Since the buffet was spicy, the kids got fries and chicken nuggets. Very accommodating and every wish was fulfilled by the staff. We will be back :)).

New owner! We were able to enjoy a delicious and generous buffet with various sauces/curries as well as various side dishes such as naan and rice. The service is excellent and you just feel comfortable. We can only recommend this restaurant!

Highly recommended! This restaurant not only brings culinary variety to Rüti, but also has very friendly and courteous service! I eat there regularly with friends and colleagues and so far the cuisine has always been very well received! Depending on the day of the week and time, a generous discretionary buffet is also available. The lunch menu is also generous and, in my opinion, the price/performance ratio is right.

The Rani has improved a lot thanks to the new management. The selection at the buffet was large and we really enjoyed it. Maybe there could be a spicier version for my taste. Price, performance and hospitality as you wish 👌.

Yesterday there were four of us in the Ranii restaurant and the service and food were great. Very friendly, courteous service, the food was very tasty and since we unfortunately couldn't finish it all, the leftovers were lovingly packed up for us to take away. Now we can enjoy another fine Indian dish at home today.

Hot dishes, exceptionally good. Service very attentive. The guest's wishes are taken into account. The ambience is very appealing and invites you to linger. Indian music plays discreetly in the background so that you can also talk about your own topics.

I reserved a table and said it was for a birthday. Is it possible to get the best table? They said yes and would decorate it. Which I found really nice. The next day when the four of us arrived there were beautiful flowers on the table and everything was decorated so we were very happy about that. The food was super tasty and everything was freshly prepared. Everything was done with passion, you could tell. At the end we got a birthday cake with candles, which we were very happy about and didn't expect. The birthday decorations and cake were even on the house!! None of us have ever experienced such hospitality and we are very grateful for it. We will come back in any case.

We were here for the lunch buffet. No selection. Only one meat on the buffet. Pulet curry was good but unfortunately cold. Rice was also cold. No choice we were disappointed with this restaurant. Ashtray in the toilet a shelf. We definitely won't be coming back. In addition, there was no glass of wine. (Because of Corona... With a soft connection.

We ordered from Ranii today via the eat.ch platform. We are excited!! The courier was super friendly and personable, the food was carefully and neatly packaged! Plus, the food arrived hot! Tastefully prepared and perfectly balanced!! I don't even want to start talking about homemade naan bread. Perfect from A-Z! Lovely again!!

Four of us ate at Ranii in Rüti. The Ranii has a new owner and the service was very friendly and the food was delicious. All dishes are freshly prepared and the spices are finely balanced.

Disappointing experience. Unhappy with service, NO SERVICE, only kitchen staff. I didnt get what i ordered. Didnt get pompadom or chutney The menus are old and stained. The food was SO, SO. The check came scribbed on a pice of note papper. We ordered twice online brfore it was good. We wont be going back.

Rude and massively late. When we asked, we were brushed off. Don't do this to yourself!

It really can't get any worse!!! Rani wanted to deliver at 7:30 p.m. We called for the first time at 8:00 p.m. He said the driver was on the way. Then at 8:30 p.m. the second phone call. Yes, the driver is on the way, he has traffic... at 10 p.m. still nothing there. Not a single person speaks German and no real English either. After two phone calls, no one answered the phone. We would be able to get to India and back faster until Rani delivers the food. 1 time and never again and I really don't recommend it to anyone. Conclusion: Never received the food and never reached anyone. Total failure!!!!!!

The food was good, as was the quantity. However, the food arrived 100 minutes late and you were treated rudely and rejected over the phone.

It's now the second time we've ordered here, and the second time we had to wait about twice as long as the order originally said on uber eats. Today we waited 2 hours for our delivery. If you call them to ask about the order, they don't pick up - unless you call with another number than you've made the order with. Very, very annoying and disappointing because the food would actually be okay. AND we just noticed that they also forgot the drinks.

Was there today with my wife. Food was good. Unfortunately, there was no dessert included in the all-inclusive price, not even on the buffet. Staff was not visible at all times in the kitchen. So the food was good, the selection was rather small but fine, the staff and customer service were very poor even though we were alone in the restaurant... Pity. Inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't understand German either...whenever he came over, which was rare, we had to try English...

Today we were at Rani's buffet with 4 adults and 2 children. It will be clarified in advance that children up to 10 only pay half. Suddenly everyone became an adult on the bill. When asked, it was explained that children only count up to the age of 6. Irreplaceable, as the food is probably too spicy for almost all children. The buffet is small, but the taste is ok. Personally, we will not visit the Rani again and cannot recommend it.

Delicious food and good served. After lockdown it is very hard times for restaurants to manage staff, so please don't mind them if the existing staff are bit late.

Lunch buffet solid and very tasty. Staff friendly, e.g. T must speak English. Update: Unfortunately there is no longer a lunch buffet, communication about prices is poor. Prices are far too high, chicken curry 28.50 plus the rice is charged extra, instant coffee... It's a shame there's no longer an option for lunch
