Vegetarian burger is not good at all! There was no patty inside! Soup tasted like readymade canned soup and not fresh! Only thing that tasted good was the crispy fish . Service is very slow.

The best hamburgers in Olten, for over thirty years. The ambience is steeped in history and typical of the “Chöbu”. What the restaurant is called locally. Where this name comes from is not known in the restaurant either.

Even after 20 years, I still think they are the best burgers in Switzerland. Keep it up

The restaurant is loud and you sit close to each other, this restaurant is usually known for its burgers 🍔, I've already tried them and they were very tasty. This time I tried the veal cordon bleu, I wasn't disappointed. My friend had the Züri Geschnetzeltes, which didn't convince me, so I tried it.

I'm actually not a fan of eating burgers in restaurants. I eat burgers in burger places and certainly not in a home-style restaurant. At first I didn't want to listen to my colleague's advice to order the hamburger. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my life, but this is definitely one of my top 3 burgers. It was easy, it was juicy, and it was over-the-top delicious. After eating my dream hamburger, I ordered a second one. Thank you for this experience!

Traditional and simple Swiss kitchen, definitely try their cheeseburger. It comes with raclette cheese and is famous there, very delicious.

Best burger in Olten and probably in Switzerland too ;) great service too! The one point deduction is due to the owner, who lost sympathy, especially for actions during Corona. Luckily for him, he has the burgers.

Besides being a rather small restaurant, the service was really friendly and good. The food we had was good, too. I personally had a Cordon Bleu. Nothing bad to say about the meat, but the cheese lacked some taste. Green salad before was a decent size and good. They have a good choice of beer here, make sure to get the beer card.

Were there for a company event. Everyone enjoyed this rustic dining experience.

Ate there again after a seminar with my boss. As always, it was very well attended, but you can be flexible and sit at the table with others. Everything was very friendly. Prompt and friendly service. The food is not first class but good. Keep it up!

Good, very spicy chicken wings, fries had a slight off-taste. Nice historical atmosphere. Unfortunately, Cordon Bleus are not prepared à la minute.

The best hamburgers in the world 👍🏻 The service suffered greatly due to the Covid break. Unfortunately, long-standing employees have left Chöbu as a result. The new crew hasn't really found their stride yet. Maybe the boss needs to be a little more present?

It is one of my must-sees when I go to Switzerland! Good prices and the food is delicious! Very good portions, somewhat slow service but worth it, the decoration is super pretty and original, it gets very crowded but you always find a little place to share and have a good time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely deserved 5 stars! The Chöbu burgers are incredibly tasty. The staff is very nice and the location in the heart of the old town is simply fantastic. The beautiful building with the enchanting paintings and the homely furnishings create a great atmosphere.

Well... the waiters just ignored us. We saw people arriving after having served us before us. So it's difficult to judge the place when you deliberately refuse to serve us.

I always enjoy eating there, usually before an ice hockey match. Every time the food is very good. The staff is very friendly. Always fully booked, it's best to just go and wait. Got a free hamburger last time because they made one too many, thanks again for that!

Have been there several times and have always been satisfied. Til today. Ordered burgers and cheesecakes. The cakes were served burnt, we politely pointed this out, gave them back and asked for new ones. The "waitress" brought burnt goods again, told us that the cheese cakes were like that here and if you didn't like it, you could leave it alone and leave. We ate the burgers (because they are always great) and wanted to drink a few more beers, but the "waitress" in question obviously ignored us in front of our eyes and sent her colleague. Good service is different.

The waitress with the short hair is incredibly cheeky & disrespectful, no decency!! As a host you should be friendly and accommodating, but definitely not like that!!!

Bad service, had to wait almost over 30 minutes for our bill!!!!

This restaurant doesn't even deserve one star. It may be that the burgers there are good, but unfortunately we couldn't find out because they didn't want to serve us despite reservations for 13 people. When we arrived there on the day in question, someone very rudely explained to us that we had reserved but that they actually didn't have room for us and that they should have canceled us. After that he sent us away - 13 people! I've never been treated so rudely. These people don't value hospitality or reliability. You ruined our team trip.

Wonderful, fine food at fair prices & a friendly crew at the front

I find myself forced to make this review for 4 simple reasons: 1. the food was poor and too greasy (I think in the kitchen they make the burgers and fries swim in oil), and on top of that the food was very salty 2. Dishes poorly presented and a piece of plastic from a box was even found in the salad 3. discreet service, the only flaw is a little slow 4. the place was nice but it was very narrow and suffocating

I was very happy with my lunch. I ate the kalabasta. It seemed to be priced fairly. The dining area fits the German/Swiss/Alp theme well despite being somewhat dark and rustic. The service was prompt but not particularly exceptional. The fact that they accept credit cards was a plus for me.

We were there spontaneously. Although it was almost full, we were greeted warmly by the waiter and seated at a free table. Riz Casimir and fish crispy were excellent and the double cheeseburger was excellent. We would like to come again. Greetings to your chef :)

I wanted to make a reservation in advance for two people for a Friday evening, but I was told on the phone that reservations for two people were not possible because they would definitely find a place for us. When we were there on that day, we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table. We then decided to go to a restaurant instead that places more emphasis on hospitality.

The place itself already looks amazing, it has a unique atmosphere. Service is fast, I've been there 3 times and the food was always ready in 5-10 minutes. The burgers are amazing, can't get enough of them. They're a bit on the small side but for the pice it is still a really good deal!

The food is good, but 4.50 francs for 33 cl of water which is not good without being warned destroys the positive opinion I had of this restaurant.

We are a large group who only speak French. The waitress offers us water. Since we don't speak the language we decipher her words a little and we accept (logically) that she serves us water. Then comes the meal and after that the waitress comes to ask for money for the water. We cannot understand why we have to pay because she simply made us consume mineral water (4frs50 per person for 33cl). Making money on the backs of foreigners who don't understand German is very small. Never again

These dishonest landlords charge 8 chf for a carafe of still water. CHEATER !!!!!

Atmospheric restaurant. Eating well. The large wine list shrinks and shrinks as you order. Many wines are on the menu, but obviously not in the wine cellar. And at the end you feel like you've been transported back decades: no written bill, the waiter is practicing mental arithmetic. Certainly not to the advantage of the tax office... 😉
