Razzia in Zürich

Wonderful atmosphere. Worth a reservation for that alone. Nice selection. The food was different for the three starters and main courses but overall good. Definitely high prices even for Zurich. Friendly attentive service.

Went to dine there for the food, but got smitten by the atmosphere and the service. The food was average (crab cake too salty, meats lacked of grill mastery) but the place certainly has something 👌.

Razzia has one of the best restaurant locations in Zurich - 5 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the food or the service. With the price tag of 38 chf for ravioli and 68 chf for a Swiss entrecôte, you expect something special. In terms of taste, however, both the starter, main course and dessert were between average and poor quality - perhaps the ingredients were of high quality but bland and boring on the palate. Similar with the service - pretentious looks, pressed lips and obligatory pleasantries kept to a minimum without a shred of humor. We didn't even smile at the end, given the bill was around 250 CHF and our tip was 15 CHF - one can assume too little (I want to explicitly exclude the bar keeper and drinks connoisseur with the open-hearted, German manner. Chappeau worthy Sir - you are not meant here).

I think the atmosphere is great, something different. The service is friendly but I would have expected a more professional staff in this restaurant. That means they have little idea about the simplest manners. The aperitif didn't appear until after the starter, which is why I didn't want it anymore. There was no simple apology that I took for granted. The main course was served even though one guest was still in the toilet... Unfortunately, the food was very unspectacular and the main courses were extremely bland. It's a shame... I won't visit this restaurant again.

Shocked in love! Fantastic food and drinks. Cool with style and class. Reminded us of The Paradise Now in Düsseldorf, but with a touch more glam. Let’s remember this for next time in Zurich.

Very expensive food and it arrives cold. The side dishes cost extra, which is to be expected for Zurich, only the sauce/herb butter costs another CHF 5.-? The staff, well… and slowly. All in all, not a nice dining experience. The ambience is still very nice. A pity!

We had a wonderful evening at the Razzia restaurant! The atmosphere is truly unique in Zurich. We were thrilled by the culinary creations and really appreciate the passion and skills of the chef and team. The service was attentive and friendly. A highlight and definitely worth recommending!

Very tasty food, courteous service and cool ambience!

Who would have thought that a restaurant named after a police operation could serve such forbidden food! The aromas almost caught me red-handed - I could hardly escape from the sheer enjoyment. The atmosphere? So mysterious, it's like committing a gastronomic crime. Honestly, my taste buds have been arrested here – and I love it!

Elias is the best bar tender in Zurich hands down, a lovely person to chat with, and really helps Razzia stand out for what it is - a phenomenal cocktail bar. Highly recommend for a lovely evening out with friends or family!

The ambience is unique, and that's why it's worth a visit. The service was a bit stressful but very nice. It took a long time for the food to arrive. The food was very good, especially the dessert!

Came here for a company event and enjoyed the venue. The food was simple but tasty. Nothing surprisingly but I cannot say whether it was because it was an event and the food would be better for fewer people. I had chestnut cream, couscous and burrata. The service is very professional and friendly. Even with the stress of so many people they did very well!!

Beautiful restored movie theatre into funking dining experience

A favourite restaurant in Zurich, the venue is amazing, 6m to the ceiling and the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat on in a restaurant! Surely a place for a long sitting. Food is great, well put together and good taste combinations, will not disappoint! Fair price for the quality. Also has a small back pocket bar for a drink before or after. Recommended!

Ambience with an extraordinary charm. A little noisy at peak time in the evening, but still an experience. The veal chop with fries tasted good and is recommended. Unfortunately, the lady from the service was in an extremely bad mood and let us feel it too. At the wine tasting she simply filled all the glasses with a mediocre Amarone for 120.- When I objected that the wine wasn't particularly good and was very sour, she simply said we should leave it for a bit. She also didn't want to provide any information about starters and instead gave us another menu card. I think everyone can have a bad day, but then you shouldn't be on the front line with direct customer contact.

Sitting in the cafe was a real treat! I haven't eaten in the restaurant, which I will do soon, but the cafe is charming all unto itself. I'm a sucker for velvet and rich more is more decor and Razzia does not disappoint. In a minimalist trend, this maximalist space is dreamy! The coffee was great, as was the cake and the service!

Unfortunately, we cannot describe the restaurant as recommendable. The quality of the meat was not good (it was thawed too quickly or too cold on the grill, so when you cut it you end up with a real puddle in the plate) and the taste is accordingly and the fries are probably delivered by the same supplier as a large fast food chain should not be in this quite high price range.

Great gefüllt artichoken/filled artichoke here. One of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had.

I recently dined at Razzia in Seefeld, Zurich, with my wife and overall, it was a nice experience. The presentation of the dishes was exquisite, and the flavors were a good blend of creativity and tradition. However, I must admit that the prices were on the higher side. While the quality of the food and service was good , it would have been even better if the prices were more reasonable. Despite this, Razzia remains a good option for special occasions or when you're looking to treat yourself.

Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. I chose 2 courses of fish and I can say that they were very tasty.

From the aperitif at the bar to the delicious meal with great wine to the first-class dessert, everything was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We can highly recommend the raid.

I unfortunately can't divide my review in two parts (though it would be great) as there's a huge difference in service in the bar and the main restaurant. The bar being utterly disappointing and the restaurant wonderfully nice. I would recommend to go directly to the main restaurant. Of course, you will miss the opportunity of being purposely ignored for good 40 minutes by the waiter and waitress in the bar and seeing how others (who bartenders know) are served very quickly and politely while shaking hands, feast bumping and having friendly chatters while you are miserably waiting for your chance to shine but it's all for a better experience 😆. The restaurant personnel on the contrary was attentive, poilte, friendly, very helpful, cheerful and responsive to any dietary requirements. Attractive interior design in the restaurant, delicious food, quick service. We loved everything in the restaurant and it luckily covered an unpleasant vibe we got from the bar.

The restaurant has an incredibly beautiful ambience. Classic and yet somehow unusual. Perfect for a sophisticated business lunch of the higher class. The food is very good, but also expensive. Especially considering the portion size. So 5 pieces of white asparagus with a good 3 tablespoons of Hollandaise sauce and a small portion of country smoked ham cost me just under CHF 50. You should be aware when you dine there ;) However, the service is extremely competent and always friendly and appropriate to the standard.

This is such a beautiful place, the environment around, the underground parking space 5 min away. And the food was top notch as a plant based I was served. Sich a cosy place for couples, friends, and even for a 🥳 🎉

The location is very beautiful and really something special. The food was fine but (except for the dessert) not that exceptional. Price performance is not right, the portions should have been significantly larger. Very nice service.

The Bar Razzia is the most beautiful bar in Zurich, in (almost) the best location! I ordered fish and chips, which were simply wonderfully breaded. I was also given a long drink of my own choice, even though there was a lot going on at the tables. The guests will be pampered to their fullest potential! I will gladly come again.

I visited the place for a business dinner. The location is amazing, it was an old movie theatre reconverted to a restaurant. The dinner was good, wine not the best, prices are really high but we are in Zurich.

Regarding the bar: WORST BAR EVER I had an extremely bad experience with the staff at this bar. Condescending comments were made and remarks were made about what was ordered. I felt very uncomfortable. I finished my drink quickly and then left. I will never enter this bar again because of the male bartender and bar manager and therefore will not recommend it to others. Such people should not work in service! WORST BAR EVER! If I could, I wouldn't even give this bar and the service one star!

Totally disappointing - Absolutely terrible experience!!! I had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting Bar Razzia recently and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional which ruined the entire evening. It was dirty and messy! There was even a used corona test on the chair. However, what was even worse than the lack of hygiene was the abusive behavior of the staff. The waiter who served us obviously had a flag and seemed very unprofessional. Instead of treating us politely, he became insulting and provocative. He didn't seem interested in making us have a pleasant evening. To make matters worse, I wasn't even congratulated on my birthday. Despite my prior reservation and multiple agreements that the bar would close at midnight, the staff attempted to close the bar at 11:00 p.m. They rolled their eyes and laughed provocatively when I brought this up. It was even claimed that the waitress was the manager of the bar, but they refused to tell me the name of the bar owner. All in all the staff completely ruined my birthday party. Her unfriendly and provocative attitude turned the evening into a nightmare. I will never enter this bar again and I absolutely cannot recommend it due to the poor experience and unacceptable behavior of the staff. I can't put into words how terrible their behavior was. It's unfortunate that a bar with such potential and a good location has such poor staff. Hopefully they will take my criticism seriously and take steps to improve their service quality and create a pleasant environment for their guests.

Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional staff. As soon as we sat down at our table we didn't feel welcome. I have never experienced service like this before. Context: We were a group of 8 people celebrating my sister's birthday. My sister had reserved a table in advance. Firstly, the waiter made negative comments on everything we said and even criticized our drink order, which we tried to ignore at the beginning. 5-10 minutes after we got our drinks, the waiter came back to tell my sister's boyfriend that he was drinking his mojito too slowly and even dared to touch his drink and stir it without consent. Staff shouldn't comment on how slowly someone drinks/eats... very unprofessional. Additionally, less than an hour after we arrived, they announced that they wanted to close the bar early. However, my sister had called the bar in advance to ask how long they would be open and called them again the same evening to confirm. The way the waiter and bar manager communicated this to us was extremely rude. It became increasingly clear that they didn't want to work that night and were looking for any excuse to close the bar early. When we expressed that we were surprised and disappointed that they were closing the bar early, the staff started arguing with us. They insulted us and rolled their eyes... Finally, the table was not properly prepared or cleaned for us. The previous guest had left a Covid test at the table which we had to show to the staff. Unhygienic. It's hard to put into words how unprofessional everything was. Unfortunately, their behavior ruined my sister's birthday.

The restaurant in a former cinema from the 1920s offers a unique and very impressive ambience. The seating is spacious and you have a lot of privacy. The restaurant is therefore very suitable for business events, but just as well for a romantic evening for two. The service staff was extremely friendly and so it doesn't bother you if you have to wait a few moments when the restaurant is full. Food and drinks were quickly brought to the table. The food also met our expectations: everything was visually and tastefully of a high standard. The range of dishes on offer is clear and designed so that the kitchen can handle it well. Personally, I would like a little more sophistication - but of course there is still a bit of room for improvement ;-) By the way, portions are also perfectly sized: not too much and definitely not too little either. By the way, the selection of wines is very good, but the wines by the glass are rather clear, but sufficient. Conclusion: for everyone who appreciates very good food in an impressive ambience, the Razzia restaurant is definitely a good choice.

Great ambience and excellent food.

Overall, the restaurant unfortunately didn't convince me. Positive: The location is great and the service was excellent. The menu was interesting and (actually) tasty (more on that in a moment) Negatives: If you order a starter, main course and dessert (which we did) you won't be full (there were four of us, 2 women and 2 men). Afterwards, each of us felt the need to eat something at home. That actually can't be the case. Furthermore, the food somehow lacked any specialness. It was tasty, but the chicken katsu, for example, was far too dry. There was pure rice and chicken, with a sauce that couldn't really be called a sauce. It was a yikes spread (it was really dry and very little) which made the whole thing quite difficult to eat. All in all, I cannot recommend the restaurant and would therefore not go there again. There is simply no coherent overall concept to make a recommendation.

What a unique location! Where else in Zurich can you dine so excellently under palm trees with excellent service? Definitely go!

Fancy establishment and excellently prepared food. They lit a sparkler on my wives dessert as it was her birthday. Things like that are so simple yet effective. Only the cheeseboard was photographed since I’d rather eat than document.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Razzia restaurant and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant had a unique cinema dinner theme, which added a fun and exciting element to the dining experience. Despite some initial confusion with my reservation, the staff at Razzia were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we had a table and were taken care of throughout the evening. The food at Razzia was top-notch and exceeded all expectations. The menu featured a variety of dishes with unique and delicious flavor combinations. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Overall, I would highly recommend Razzia restaurant to anyone looking for a fun and unique dining experience with exceptional food and friendly staff. Despite the small hiccup with my reservation, the team at Razzia went above and beyond to make sure my evening was enjoyable and memorable. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes.

The staff is extremely professional. The atmosphere in the former cinema is simply fantastic. The food was well prepared and presented. The only downside is the prices. I recommend having an aperitif in the bar next door beforehand. It's definitely worth visiting!!

Wow, that was something. Very interesting place interior decor wise. When it comes to the food steak 🥩 was amazing, we ordered medium and it was perfect, on the other hand chicken katsu was fine but nothing spectacular so next time I would select something else. Presentation wise great and I have to admit, the waitress level of service - safe to say it’s the best I had in Zurich so far. Well done 👍🏼

Restaurant with upscale and very, very delicate cuisine in the premises of the old silent film cinema from the 1920s. Extremely friendly service. The furnishings are also exactly to my taste. Overall, highly recommended. The sister restaurant is the Seehaus in Herrliberg.

Thai Bees Salad was very good, also the Salmon. I didn't liked that the waiter "clawed" my half full glass at the top. But besides that is was very good.

Arrogant and unfriendly service.

Because of our casual clothing we were ignored by the blonde lady at the bar. Left after 15 minutes without ordering.

My darling and I went to the Razzia Dessert Bar this afternoon. We wanted to experience for ourselves what sweet dishes the Gault Millau Patissière of 2022 can conjure up. And the result is clear. The dessert variations are absolutely amazing in terms of taste and appearance. Although I have often eaten good desserts, these desserts are among the absolute best. If you appreciate great desserts, far from the usual 8.15 offerings, you have to stop by here and let your palate be pampered.
