Residenz Cafe in Basel

The food was very good. The atmosphere was homely. The staff was attentive and very friendly. We were there with family on December 24th. It's a shame the entrance is a bit hidden near the tracks. Everything was just perfect and there was no rush. I'll go there again. There's also a lunch menu

I am totally surprised by this great restaurant. I had lunch with my family at the Residenz Restaurant and I was thrilled!!! We had three courses, starter, main course and a dessert, every single course was incredibly great. The restaurant is beautiful, the service staff are attentive and super friendly. Just great. The menu was fresh and seasonal. Really recommended.

I was invited to lunch in South Park with my wife and mother-in-law and I really enjoyed it. The food tasted wonderful and there was even dessert. The ambience is great, it is modern and flooded with light. The staff are friendly and very attentive, we received great service. I would definitely come back, really great, a real insider tip and just a stone's throw from Basel train station.

To be treated to a wonderful dinner with all the trimmings, what a way to start the weekend. The food was excellent, the service was top, with a lady who impressed with her knowledge of wine and contributed to the warm atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.

You don't notice it's a seniors' residence... Atmosphere is like in other star restaurants... really great freshly cooked food (everything tastes great), professional service, good wine selection... always a pleasure...

Das Restaurant Südpark hatte ich schon früher bewertet. Mir gefällt das Restaurant sehr gut und der Service ist freundlich. Diesmal waren wir für ein Jubiläum zum Lunch hier. Es gab ein Teller "All-in-One" - da war ein Randensaft als Vorspeise, dann das sehr feine Kalbs-Cordon Bleu mit Kartoffeln und ein Schocki-Mousse zum Dessert darauf. Der Service wirkte diesmal etwas umständlich und musste mehrmals nachfragen... und der Saft schmeckte nur nach Randen und nicht wie angepriesen mit Ingwer usw.

Die Residenz Südpark beim Bahnhof SBB hat auch ein öffentliches Café mit guten und abwechslungsreichen Mittagsmenus. Wir waren geschäftlich hier. Es war herrlich bei diesen Temperaturen draussen zu sitzen. Das Fleisch-Menu war mit Poulet, ich hatte das Fisch-Menu und für jemanden, der vegan isst, hat der Küchenchef auch einen tollen Teller kreirt. Davor gab es einen kleinen Salat mit einer frischen Limone-Housedressing. Die Ingwer-Suppe war auch sehr schmackhaft. Der Service-Mitarbeiter Pascal B. war nicht nur speditiv, sondern extrem herzlich und gastfreundlich. Kompliment!

wir sind 6 personen und essen an einem freitag über mittag alle 3 verschiedenen mittagsmenüs, die angeboten werden.die rotkrautsuppe schmeckt ausgezeichnet, der bunte salat ebenso. 4 sind des lobes voll über das vegetarische tagesangebot, 2 wählen einen chinesischen teller auf einem gemüsebeet. leider schmeckt diese variante gar nicht gut, wir melden es am ende dem personal und erfahren, dass der koch auch von anderen gästen kritik einstecken musste.einen caffe oder tee wäre als entschädigung eine nette geste gewesen...
