A young dynamic chef. Recipes that melt on the tongue, combinations that seem unlikely but come together smoothly on the palate. Not only did the chef surprise us with his presence, but the wonderful service also provided excellent service with their expertise. Gossau, not the big city in the ZH Oberland. However, the room in Gossau is worth every visit. Calling all gourmets, insider tip a la cart.

We were here for a business lunch and for me visiting this restaurant was a great new discovery. I had already asked myself why we should make the journey to Gossau. How nice that there is a restaurant in the area that offers fine cuisine. Wonderful food, an extremely nice and attentive service team, beautiful ambience. Not cheap but worth the price. We'd love to come back.

Great and cozy restaurant with very professional, friendly service, a fantastic selection of wines at fair prices and really good cuisine that is worthy of a star. Prices are just ok for what is on offer. No welcome from the kitchen, no butter with bread, that could still be optimized. Still a nice evening 👍

Really good! Thank you. In 2023 we were able to eat well several times at Alpenblick Gossau ZH. We had our business lunch on December 22nd and it was TOP. Many thanks to the entire “Alpenblick team”! The food and drinks were excellent. And special praise to the service staff. Although we were quite loud and "drunk" at times, we were always served patiently and in a friendly manner. As Italians, we are rather difficult to impress when it comes to culinary delights, but my girlfriend and I were very satisfied at the Alpenblick. Very good and refined cuisine, modern and thoughtful combinations and excellent cooking technology accompanied our dinner. The selection of food is large enough and seasonal, and the wine list is very extensive. You can't eat cheaply here, but the high quality makes a visit highly recommended. Small detractions for me are the portions tend to be a bit tight and the dessert menu is unfortunately monotonous. There are all sorts of ice cream combinations with garnishes (also very well implemented), but unfortunately I miss galce alternatives (with the exception of chocolate cakes and vermicelle). Nevertheless, overall excellent points, we were definitely not there for the last time!

The portions are only appropriate for a class in the upper frequency range, but the portions are too small for the normal average population. In terms of taste, ten out of ten is recommended 🫡

Suzi and Andi are a very likeable host couple who practice gastronomy at a high level! We can highly recommend the Alpenblick and are already looking forward to the next time!

Spent an excellent time here on a Sunday, after lunch at 3pm. The building is welcoming, painted white & red. The manager lady and the 2 waitress ladies were friendly and professional. The menu has good variations, mainly Swiss cousine with an extra touch. The prawn starter looked and tasted excellent, good balance of textures, spices, acids and aromas. I chose the liver as my main dish, the meat was cooked to perfection, the gravy was rich, the rosti was on the saltier side. I wish all the best for this place, would visit again.

We live in Gossau. We were very happy to visit the restaurant. The service was very friendly, great view and ambience. We only wanted to go for a dessert, unfortunately the selection was very modest and expensive (1 scoop of ice cream in a small glass 9.-...) We were looking forward to a good selection on the menu. Pieces of cake, large coupe with fruit, etc. It would also be a nice idea with crepes and ice cream. Then we would be happy to come more often. Also at a reasonable price. So unfortunately we have to say that we are no longer coming and can't afford it.

Excellent, fresh dishes with particularly fine meat, very elaborate and beautifully presented, hot plates, good portions (not stingy, but not exaggerated either), attentive, very appropriate service, always a wonderful experience

There is plenty of charm, the mix of old (building) and modern (furniture) is a true symbiosis. Susi and Andi, along with the team, understand the profession by giving the guest the feeling of not only being welcome, but also at home.

The food is a composition of imaginative creations and high-quality foods that invite you to dream and make the taste explode on your palate. Yesterday we were treated to a delicious meal and excellent, friendly service at our class reunion. The “Homesick Gossauers” were surprised that there was such a fine restaurant in Gossau!

Our waitress Cindy gave us very good advice and served us. Our absolute favorite restaurant!! The owner couple is super warm and the staff also put their heart and soul into it. The food is fantastic. I've never had such good prawns.

The ambience is very appealing both on the terrace in summer and inside in winter. The service is very friendly, quick and careful. The food is sensationally fine, fresh and beautifully prepared. You can taste the high quality of the ingredients, the skill and love when cooking. The cod fillet fish crisps were sensational today. We come regularly for dinner or just a glass of wine from our own vineyard...We remain loyal to you...keep up the commitment!

The Alpenblick restaurant offers a wonderful view south of the town of Grüningen. But the innkeeper couple can't do anything about it. They shine with friendly service staff that is second to none. You immediately feel comfortable and are pampered. The kitchen is in no way inferior. The dishes are excellently prepared and are just as beautiful as the fantastic view. A pleasure that should not be missed.

The restaurant has excellent and varied cuisine, including regional specialties. I can personally recommend the Cordon Bleu with meat and local Gran Cru to everyone and my wife was absolutely thrilled with the ravioli with morels. When the weather is nice you also have a great panorama. The package is supported by the friendly and helpful staff. We would love to come back to deepen this great experience.

Since we eat out a lot in restaurants, I can say with a clear conscience that I haven't been able to experience such attentive and very discreet service in recent years. Very nice service, warm atmosphere, enchanting decoration lovingly coordinated with the spring colors. The food was very good, culinary first class... and... the eye eats too. We would be happy to come back and of course recommend it to others.

Prices don't match the portion and service. In spring we had our premiere, where we had an ant in the martini, burnt hash browns and a maximum half portion of the daily recommendation (zander). The clientele tends to be older, so I would adjust the portions for younger guests. On our second visit (we wanted to give Alpenblick a second chance because the food is excellent and so is the location) we found it extremely inappropriate that the hostess took the wasp out of the freshly served rosé with a spoon (I would have had the wine here brought to the kitchen and fished out the wasp ;-)) & pours the undrinked water from guests who have already left into the flowers between the guests who are still sitting there. And the portions were also super small. Basically a fine restaurant but we expect a different standard given the prices.

Successful premiere in this restaurant. Next time hopefully in good weather on the terrace with a view of the Alps. Swiss dishes well cooked and presented, which is becoming increasingly rare. That's why the livers with rösti were very appreciated and enjoyed!
