The rooms are very small. When you ask two seperate bed they give you a big bed with two seperate duvet in the same bed😀 I slept with my business friend in the same bed. Thank for the seperate duvets. Rooms and bathroom are clean. Breakfast moderate.

Enjoyed a great stay from A - Z! Warm welcome, good explanations of how it works, slept well, delicious breakfast buffet, uncomplicated check-out. And we were allowed to use the yellow marked parking spaces directly in front of the hotel.

Centrally located hotel. Clean and quiet. Nice, attentive staff. The rooms are basic but clean. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. Fair price-performance ratio. We really liked it.

The room did NOT match our reservation. The person at the reception had no initiative and we had to demand that he call a manager... Lack of professionalism.

Friendly welcome, clean room, but! Who the hell designed this shower?! The shower head can be adjusted continuously from knee height to approx. 170cm. Unfortunately, everyone who was bigger suffered. That deducts one point. There is a small amount of parking space, if it's gone, then it's gone. Another point deducted. Otherwise: centrally located, directly (3 minutes on foot) to the train station. There is also a co-op there for in-between needs.

We had a good stay at this hotel! The rooms (2 singles) a little small, but ok. Large comfortable bed, clean rooms and we also had a fan available as it was quite hot. At night I was able to turn it off because it was nice. You can hear people talking in the hallway a little. Hearty breakfast with lots of choice (croissants, breads, cereals, cold meats, muesli...) and drinks machine available free of charge all day. Slightly small elevator available, there is room for a stroller and 2 people (if you stand close together). Very friendly staff! I was also helped up with the stroller, as there are 4 steps before reaching reception. So not ideal for strollers, but for one day it was fine. Access not possible by wheelchair however. Very well located though! 3 minutes walk from the train station and also 5 minutes walk from the old town where all the shops, churches and amenities are located. Very convenient ! Parking behind the hotel available free of charge. Not easily found, we asked at reception and were shown how to access it. We might come back if we visit Solothurn again!

Perfect location!!! Staff extremely helpful and friendly! The breakfast was very good! We were completely satisfied and would happily recommend it.

The rooms are quite small and old, but clean and tidy. The architecture of the building also won't allow for more spacious rooms. We were disturbed by street noise and other noises from the surrounding area, which led to a restless night's sleep. Rooms could benefit from improved soundproofing to ensure guest comfort. Another negative point was that breakfast was not included in the price. We were disappointed to learn that we had to pay extra for breakfast. It would have been desirable if this had been included in the room rate, as is often the case in other hotels. What was particularly annoying was that even the butter was charged extra. This seemed to us to be an unnecessary additional expense. In summary, the Hotel Ambassador offers a good location and a high level of cleanliness. However, there are some aspects that could be improved to make the stay more pleasant. In my opinion, a revision of the payment methods, better soundproofing of the rooms and the inclusion of breakfast in the room price would be sensible improvements.

I'd rather sleep on the street next time than pay the 160 CHF I paid to stay in this veritable jail cell. The bed was a tiny double and was so uncomfortable, old and worn. The halls are extremely narrow, windows are small like in a deluxe jail cell, and we had smoke blowing in from under the big gap under the door of the room as someone was smoking in the hallway. It was hell staying here and I feel genuinely robbed. Worst hotel experience in my lifetime thus far.
