The restaurant is good, the accommodation is worse. Small rooms with bunk beds. Shared WC and showers in the corridor. I would expect a better minimum standard in Switzerland.

During the daily menu, the cheese over the penne was rock hard and therefore almost inedible. The chef was asleep when he chose the cheese. Pre-season price/performance a bit questionable.

Amazing restaurant with a big fire place in the center, nice view and the food is really really tasty. The dessert (creme brulee) was amazing. The chicken was super tender and the appetizer (fish tartar with passion fruit) was from another planet. I LOVE my dinner there.

A sunny Friday at the end of March. Lunch with a view of the lake. Immediate, very friendly service from a Moldavian lady. Despite different menus (6 people) very short waiting time. Perfect wine service and excellent food, Price-performance very balanced. Thank you. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening at Auberge de La Tène in Marin, and I must say that my experience was pleasant. The winter atmosphere is truly warm and cozy, accentuated by the two magnificent fireplaces which create a welcoming atmosphere upon entry. The establishment offers two distinct spaces: a charming "brasserie" room where you can enjoy delicious fondues as well as a varied à la carte selection, and another room dedicated to the restaurant, offering a more intimate atmosphere to enjoy a meal refined a la carte. The occasional presence of live piano music adds a touch of elegance and conviviality to the already captivating atmosphere. In addition, the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the lake, creating an enchanting setting, even in cold weather. The welcome given by the staff was most pleasant, and we immediately felt welcome. Regarding the food, we were delighted by the quality of the dishes offered. The ingredients used are of the highest freshness, which is evident in every bite. Another positive point is the ease of parking, which makes the visit even more pleasant and convenient. In short, Auberge de La Tène is an essential destination for those looking for a culinary experience and an enchanting setting, even in winter.

We went there on a Saturday afternoon and we fell in love with the place, the view of the lake is just superb! The service is excellent and the food is super good! The meat was perfectly cooked and what a treat to have vegetables! The only small point that was a bit of a shame was that the fries weren't homemade, but that's a detail considering the rest! We can't wait to return in the spring and summer!

Good but prices a little overpriced

With a very warm welcome on our arrival, very good table near the fire, very professional and courteous service. The cuisine was refined with a wide choice, the arrival of the dishes was quick. The gourmet coffee of thunder. Note that the restaurant was full.

New Year's Eve passed. Everything was Tip Top. Very good menu and wine, impeccable service by nice and friendly waitresses and waiters. To do again.

Four years after our last visit to this restaurant we have revised our judgment. Everything has changed for the better. The welcome, the cuisine, the breathtaking view of the lake as well as the general atmosphere. Great. Five stars deserved.

We came to eat the hunt like the previous two years. The saddle is delicious and the service is top notch. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed by the fact that last year we each had our own bowl of spatzli (which would avoid asking for refills 4 times) and that the middle dish was on a plate and no longer rotating.

To say that our experience was wonderful is an understatement. From the fondue to “La Chasse” (the two-month period when wild game meat is served), I have never been dissatisfied. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive—and most importantly—the food is absolutely delicious. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Switzerland. Since this restaurant has gone under new management, it has been revitalized and is most definitely worth the visit. It is so good, in fact, that we drove over two hours from Zurich just to eat here; it was beyond worth it.

Very nice discovery, server in a good mood, the hunt was really excellent with the accompaniments that we can ask for more. Nice room, too bad it was dark so no view of the lake.

Quality restaurant. Small menu of homemade products. The hunting is simply exceptional. Saddle of venison in 2 sublime services, royal rabbits with extraordinary blood sauce. And even if a lot of people, personalized service.

We came at noon for my birthday. Very good food but pitiful service. We had the impression that our child was disturbing (when we had to ask for a chair for him). We wanted to have a coffee and a dessert but when the waiter told us what he had on the menu we heard half of it because he had already turned his back and had already left to clear a table. Too bad to have had the impression of being 'disturbing' rather than being welcome. Unpleasant feeling. What's more, he had a strong Polish accent and we didn't understand everything he said to us. In short, a shame. Good meal but marred by service that was not up to standard. Please note that the restaurant was not full.

Restaurant in a paradisiacal location, right on the lake! Wonderful terrace with a beautiful view. Service very young but very friendly and pleasant. The steak de boeuf was a bit rare and tender as requested. Fries and salad Contrary to other reviews, very crisp and fresh. For me the price/performance principle was very good!

Nice service and very tasty food! The prices are in the upper price segment, but still completely reasonable. Unfortunately there is probably no German menu. And the vegetarian selection is unfortunately very thin (or I misunderstood it :D)

The food was too remorseful. The chef is a car mechanic in the afternoon and a chef in the evening. Not recommended!!

Avoid the Chinese!!! Broth 1: water + vegetables Broth 2: ....soy in addition Broth 3: soy + vegetables and spices... Soy in a Chinese ??? Butterlk. Broth without broth ???? Never seen ! Super tough beef, change supplier! It reminds me of stew. Friendly service.

I love stopping for a coffee after a walk with my dog, we are always well received there and we even get a bowl of water for the doggie. 😉

We arrived at the restaurant, a waiter seated us at a table. Then, 10 minutes later a waitress came towards us in a fury. She asks us to change tables, shouting that we were the ones who made a mistake, even though they were the ones who installed us. I find it frankly inappropriate and disappointing given the location. On top of that, I order and receive a starter sea bream tartare and they charge me for it as a main course. Disappointing

We had a magical time. The kitchen is a delight, the knives with their sauce are killer. The perch fillets are a treat. Crispy fries as desired. Poultry supreme with chanterelles, a real treat. We really appreciated the fast, efficient service and the smiling waiter. The perfect lakeside terrace setting. We recommend and we will come back. THANKS

I participated in a camp at the hostel and the hygiene of the place was clearly borderline. The toilets smelled like a railway station, the showers were not washed once in 8 days and when I removed the sheets from my bed, there was dried blood on the mattress, a yellowish stain towards the head of the bed. The floors of the rooms were dirty when we arrived. I want to understand that cleaning is not done every day, but at least once during the week! Apart from that, it's a beautiful setting and there are lots of activities to do. The restaurant's cuisine is very good!

Great food; we got pork ribs, burger, foie grass and sausages and ham assortment. Kitchen closes by 2pm so hurry up ordering.

Many lettuce leaves were brown and not fresh. The “classic” tarte flambée was fully covered in cheese. When we brought this to the attention of service, there wasn't even an apology.

Next to the restaurant there is a stall for renting pedals etc., whose music significantly disturbs the ambience of the restaurant.

We have been here a few times and have always been very satisfied. But not this time... I took the Nicoise salad, my husband did too... the salad had brown cut edges and was "mushy". For a salad for 30.00 I expect something different. Apart from that, there were a lot of people, the terrace was full and yet the staff was very, very friendly 👍

Relaxing calm with very nice view...

The lakeside restaurant looks very nice, but the burger was completely tasteless and greasy. If only it had tasted as good as the water that was in it... The water that was served was warm and tasted like fish. The staff is not doing their job and you have to constantly point this out to them.

Beautiful terrace and hearty dishes

We ordered 3 beef tartares and 1 plate of perch fillets. Unfortunately, we all got sick after eating the beef tartare…vomiting, nausea, chills. In addition, the color of the meat when it was served to us was really not nice… This can be very serious, especially with raw foods, where hygiene measures must be carefully respected...

The food wasn't good. The burger meat was very watery and had no flavor. There was a foul smell in the restaurant. The water we were served was lukewarm and tasted like lake water. The salad dressing wasn't good either. It looked fine but the taste was completely horrible. I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know how this restaurant made it to 4 stars. THIS IS AN INSURANCE!!!
