All around a wonderful experience, great service, delicious and beautifully prepared food. With a great wine pairing made this a delightful evening. For sure, I am going back.

We were a group of 26 people. Wonderfully set table, friendly, prompt and attentive service. Very good food that was served quickly to everyone. Good wine, cozy hall on the 1st floor. Good starting point for hikes, close to the train station. Nice terrace in summer.

One of the top addresses for game food in the Winterthur / Zurich Wine Country region. Uncomplicated right from the reservation. We were expected and the table was prepared with details. The dishes are freshly prepared and the side dishes are also of high quality. The wine list leaves nothing to be desired and has a great selection of regional wines (which goes very well with game). The saddle of venison was top class. Soft pink a real treat for the palate. The service was very friendly and attentive. Dessert, with additional daily desserts, was also a delight. We can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely eat there again. Thank you to the team for the great time with you.

Excellent cuisine! We always ate very well. The service is also extremely friendly and attentive. However, this one saying on the board is very inappropriate in this day and age. We probably won't come back until this sign no longer exists...

You could hardly be received more unfriendly. On one of the hottest summer days, we were looking forward to a cool drink in the shade at 5 p.m. on our bike tour. The beer garden, almost completely empty. “No, everything is already set for the evening,” we were offered a table half in the sun. “Or we could sit inside.” We then gratefully gave up and have gained one more experience on the subject of the service desert.

A great country restaurant located right next to the train station, very nice garden. Very friendly and prompt staff, being a host is a real thing here. Menu is manageable, everything is perfectly prepared, meat-heavy. Good wine list, especially from the region. Reservation recommended.

Great house with exceptional service and delicious food. The menu offers a small but extremely fine selection of specialties. All dishes were delicious and the dessert variation with lemon, mango and passion fruit was an absolute hit.

Nice inn with a nice atmosphere and good service. Considering that the restaurant is located out of the way in the countryside, it is in the upper price range (back of venison CHF 69.00) but the quality and quantity are ok so far.

It was very nice, cozy and accommodating. Friendly furnishings... Wheelchair passengers can use the toilet without any obstacles. Bravo. We were there and looked after our passengers and ate well.

A charming old Swiss style restaurant serving great food and wine. Excellent and very attentive service . My friends had invited me there to celebrate my birthday . After we finished our meal , the staff surprised me with a cake and sang in German & English. A great experience! I was very touched. Am definitely going back there .

Wunderbares Essen in gemütlich, weihnachtlicher Atmosphäre. Die Zugabe war die Flexibilität bei der Vorspeise. Hecht mit Spinat wurde kurzfristig auf unseren Wunsch hin kreiert und sehr schön präsentiert. Die Bedienung war richtig gut und sehr freundlich. Vor allem hat sie die Stimmung der einzelnen Gäste perfekt erfasst und danach gehandelt. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ich war das erste Mal in diesem weither bekannte Landgasthaus. Auf Voranmeldung konnte ich wirklich fantastisch glutunfrei essen. Häppchen mit glutenfreiem Brot zum Apero, selbstgefertigte Kräcker zum Salat waren und ein Küchenstück als Gruss aus der Küche zum Abschluss des Essen waren einfach dabei. Ich fühlte mich mit meiner Krankheit richtig Ernst genommen. Eine echt tolle Erfahrung. Ich kann das Lokal allen gerne weiter empfehlen.

Die Gastfreundschaft wird groß geschrieben, man fühlt sich immer sehr willkommen. Das Essen ist stets ausgezeichnet und jedermann wird satt. Zudem ist es von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert ein Genuss für das Auge. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Locally know, it has never disapointed. My family is Swiss, so when we are in Country, they take us frequently. Great wine list, super comfy, not too big, great in service and fair in price. Don't forget, like in evey Swiss Restaurant, ro make Reservations, even the day of your visit. My brother never visits any Swiss restaurant without it. You can even specify the table, as the Swiss only do one sitting per evening (everybody stays a few hours chatting, it's just what one does).

Ich war gestern Abend zum Essen hier. Schöner alter Gasthof im ländlichen Stil. Gemütliche Lokalität. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und kompetent. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Speisekarte ist nicht gross, dafür wird alles frisch zubereitet. Preis / Leistungsverhältnis absolut Spitze. Ebenso die Weinpreise sind sehr moderat.Die Teller sind sehr schön angerichtet. Man sieht hier wird mit viel Engagement gekochtund gibt sich sich Mühe, dass es schön aussieht.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ob Entrecôte, Geschnetzeltes, Baumnuss Parfait mit einer genialen Caramel-Rahmsauce oder ein Tignanello 2012 zum fairen Preis: alles auf Top Niveau. Ein aufmerksamer Service wie man ihn selten antrifft und eine charmante Gastgeberin – Frau Hatt – runden das Gesamturteil auf Stufe «Exzellent» ab. Fazit: Gastronomie für's Herz!

Die Vorspeise war superb. Der Hautgang des Geldes wert. Das Dessert zuckersüss aber fein. Die beiden Wermutstropfen waren, der Lärmpegel und der starke Geruch der aus der Küche kam. Deshalb konnte ich nur ein sehr gut abgeben. Schade.
