Stopped at Restaurant Bahnhofli while hiking Mount Rigi. It's a great location with Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We all got sausages with gravy and fries. I had a beer. The food was good, and the surroundings made it taste even better!

We made a stop at Restaurant Bahnhöfli on the way to the Rigi Kulm. They have something for everyone. While you can't miss with Kalbsbratwurst and Pommes. You also have magnificent views from the terrace. After the main dish you can continue to the top and enjoy the dessert.

We paid 150 CHF for 7 people in total, including soft drinks. The prices were more affordable than at the top.

Yesterday I was back on the Rigi for the first time in more than 50 years, and I really enjoyed it. The trip was actually a stopgap because we were supposed to be in Vancouver, Canada, but this trip fell victim to Corona. Thanks to the clear Rigi Bahnen website, I was able to buy two day tickets from home. We were able to park easily at the train station in Arth Goldau and take the blue cogwheel train to Rigi Kulm. The view is already great while driving, but at the top it is sensational despite the cloudy weather. You could easily admire them on a circular route from all sides. Not only was there a funny plastic cow as a photo subject, there were actually real horned cattle grazing on the lush pastures all around. Everything was well secured with fences and signposted. We later ate self-service in the Kurhaus. Both the soup and the mixed salad were excellent, the toilet was modern and clean. The employees at the train and at the two restaurants we visited were friendly and competent. At the souvenir shop at the valley station in Arth we missed souvenirs that actually had something to do with the Rigi. I can highly recommend a visit to Rigi for Swiss and foreign tourists!
