Restaurant Calanda in Chur

Everything was perfect until the moment... when I asked for a slice of cheese in my burger. They charged me full price for it (one thirtieth of the dish)!!!!! But otherwise great :)

best argentinian meat i found around Graubünden (comming from an argentinian gal). the attention was just perfect and they were super pet friendly towards us dining with our dog.

You should try the homemade apple strudel 😄

Hirschburger was great, the service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was also right. Always my pleasure.

What can I say? Perfect! Super pleasant atmosphere. Comfortable chairs and stools. The food is prepared in a partially open kitchen and is of the highest quality. The dishes were optimally put together and seasoned and served exactly to my taste. The preparations in the kitchen also seemed well thought out, as the waiting time after ordering was only about 10 minutes despite the good occupancy. Nevertheless, the food was freshly prepared. The service staff is very attentive and super friendly and accommodating. The employees know their menu and also know how to prepare it. There was something for everyone in the selection. Vegan and vegetarian dishes were marked and the possibility of adapting vegetarian to vegan dishes was pointed out. All of this at an affordable price. We were here twice. If I were to stay in Chur again, the Calanda restaurant would definitely be my first choice.

Good price-performance ratio. I recommend the Spicy Beef Wrap and Strogatelle. Both were packed with beef. We were full and paid 68 CHF (including drinks). The service is very motivated and attentive.

Spontaneous for dinner with children. We got a place straight away and even gave the little one things to paint😀. You don't have that in every restaurant! The atmosphere outside and inside is cool and the menu is short and clear. Food is good too.

We ordered the Calanda beer for drinks. For the main course we ordered the Curry Machiato and Avacado potato along with chicken nuggets. The Curry Machiato was yummy. Over all we enjoyed the food and the staff are also nice. Service is quick and good. Even though we visited during the summer fest time the food was served in a decent amount of time.

Quick ice cream. The ambience and ice cream were top. Lots of homemade items on the menu. Service was a little cold and distant but, as always, it was busy.

I'm a regular guest, that basically says it all! The Calanda offers excellent service that looks after guests in a friendly and extremely attentive manner. The food is delicious, mostly homemade and always well presented. The staff is very well trained and professional. A good mix of professionalism and warmth. All in all, a successful combination of good service, delicious food and a welcoming environment. Highly Recommended!

The beautiful terrace is a place where you can take some time out and enjoy life to the fullest. The attention to the conditions and the delicious food such as the Poké Bowl and the homemade iced tea make this terrace a real treat. I highly recommend visiting this place and seeing it for yourself.

A brilliant restaurant!! There is even a special allergy card!! So cool! It was super easy to order, despite my countless allergies. Thank you very much, I will come here more often from now on.

Good Pub Food and Beer - usually full though, so come early or make a reservation if you are with a group.

Pleasant atmosphere. Calanda is a kind of cafe with average food, but it attracts a large group of locals and tourists, which makes it a very nice place to eat and drink something. NB; reservation is necessary.

Nice restaurant, but decorating a currywurst with gold leaf is completely wrong; instead of the gold it would have made more sense to offer a good, original currywurst

Super great menu, not a huge selection, but the things there are are anything but run of the mill. Extremely great value for money, very large portions, top quality.

In my opinion, there is the best Caesar salad in all of Chur here. He is very big and also has a lot of chicken with him. 😁

We were lucky to get a large table without a reservation. Then different food on the table. Since it was quiet while eating, it must have been good ;-) And the conditions are always very friendly! Gladly again!

Sunday morning brunch: Nice place with a cozy atmosphere to linger longer. The selection at brunch is great. The ingredients are freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service is very attentive and friendly. The price/performance ratio is right. It's worth coming hungry :)

Unfortunately our food was almost cold.

A great location. The restaurant is characterized by the height of the room. Cooking takes place under a copper roof above the bar. Good, varied menu/drinks menu. Also suitable for vegetarians. Friendly staff, order was placed quickly and the food was there after about 20 minutes.

Went for lunch 2 days ago in the very busy Calanda. Friendly welcome and good service despite many guests. (Family) Rustic atmosphere. (Brasserie) Large selection of good dishes. Price performance ok. Gladly again. PS: If you wish, you can have a glass of water with the wine. This is a commendable gift for wine lovers.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Chur, simply amazing

The half chicken was huge and delicious. The sweet potato fries were also very tasty. Should have had the salad with it, although a mix of salad and fries would have been perfect... The dessert (Chalandamarz, ice cream with warm chestnuts) was a small portion. That was totally perfect. Great dessert! For the larger dessert, it is best to share it if the main course was already huge. The restaurant is very central. The high chairs are a bit very uncomfortable because there was no space for the feet in the middle of the table, only on the chairs. The backs of your knees can hurt if you sit for too long. Especially at the benches.

Very tasty wild boar burger! Food was at the table very quickly and the service was very friendly and attentive. Very good value for money. Very good place to go even if you don't want to eat until after 12 or 1 p.m. on Sundays. 4 places in between Plexiglas panes, registration at the place, disinfectant -> Corona compliant.

Good restaurant, nothing extraordinary. The menu offers both regional specialties and international dishes. The quality is okay, but pretty much nothing homemade and/or made from fresh ingredients, I would say. The service is fine, as is the waiting time. The prices are also okay.

We sat outside because the weather was nice, so unfortunately I can't say much about the ambience inside. But the food was really very good and unusual. Rarely have I been really so satisfied with the food for the reasonable “menu price”. Unfortunately, they forgot my companion. When we pointed this out, they immediately apologized and offered a free desert to make up for the inconvenience. All in all, you really have to say it was top service, because I think it's nice to make up for mistakes with such a gesture. I've rarely seen it, in other restaurants it's usually dismissed as "oh I forgot, it'll be right back", but not here. In any case, we are already looking forward to our next visit to the restaurant and what good food there will be.

The food is good. But it doesn't always taste the same. The last 3 times were underseasoned. But the worst thing here is the unfriendliness that I encounter every time. That's why unfortunately I won't be coming anymore.

How much more clear can pointing at the item on the menu be and saying it's name exactly as spelled. We both got the wrong food. The name had one word in common so this is entirely on the waitress who didn't write down the order. She spoke better English than most wait staff we have had this whole trip. We are in too much of a hurry to reorder so we ate it. To be fair it's pretty good, but still not very happy overall. French fries and a sausage are not a substitutes for a curry with rice and naan.

Friendly - prompt - very fine food. We will be back!
