We've been there at about 16 o'clock this Saturday. The waitresses told us all seats are reserved. We asked for a table for just half an hour to quickly eat and feed the baby. It was extremely cold and windy outside. A few minutes later some people went away and one table was free but we were still refused. The table was still available at 16.30, at 16.57... Don't you need more visitors?

Even in the afternoon at 2:30 a.m. you can still get a good, warm meal. The view of Lake Lungern from the restaurant is very beautiful.

The service was excellent and we were really impressed with the food! However, it seems a bit excessive to us to have to pay extra for ketchup and mayonnaise - we find that difficult to understand.

The food was very delicious, but it was a shame that you had to pay for the ketchup and there weren't enough fries for the price with the schnitzel and the cordon bleu.

Very good food. I had the cordon bleu. It was good, but unfortunately there were few French fries. It's a shame that the sauces are expensive.

The ambience and service are absolutely top. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. The Zürcherschnitzel with mushrooms was too salty and generally very intense in taste, difficult to eat.

We are in Switzerland. We eat what there is. You have to accept the type of dishes and not complain. The only problem for us Italians is that it is too expensive. Otherwise excellent service. Nice view

Very delicious Swiss restaurant

Sliced ​​veal with mushroom cream sauce was extremely tasty and the wonderful spaetzli as a side dish. The service staff were very friendly.

The waitress had great service. We ordered Margherita pizza, a veal schnitzel, a pork ribeye, and a fish steak. The taste is very good and it is close to Longjiang Lake. It’s a pity that it gets dark at about seven o’clock!

The food is really good, but sometimes a bit expensive... and takeaway fries are far too small portions for 8.00, the bowl was half full, we had to get it several times so that everyone was full...

Nice, cozy restaurant with a nice lake view. Food was good and people were friendly, could improve a little with more English speaking staff.

Afternoon, not many guests. We wait a full 10 minutes, are we invisible?? Finally, after waving several times, someone comes. Even better beer and mineral, they weren't even properly chilled🥵

After staying overnight at one of the Taos, we went to breakfast the next morning around 9am. The friendly and competent staff then served us a large breakfast for 18 CHF. Actually, this is only for one person, but with the bread that comes with it, it's enough for two. What I found outstanding was the quality. The cheese and ham were excellent! The goods were totally fresh and crafted to a very high standard. For a restaurant on a campsite 5 stars! Thank you, we'll be back.

The Obsee restaurant is a family-friendly restaurant where you immediately feel at home. This is still real gastronomy where the guest can simply enjoy it. You don't need a foreign language if you want to order, from locals for locals and guests who want to enjoy traditions and the real thing. Most of the time the view of the lake is so beautiful that you would think it wasn't real.

We decided on the menu; It was a real joy to look at and taste like. All the tables with the view were occupied, after all we ate outside.

Friendly welcome and accommodating staff, I arrived there without reservation and they found a place for my tent despite a lot of people. Magnificent panorama between the lake and the mountains. Speaking of the lake, access from the campsite is very easy. The toilets are clean although a little dark (but it's not disturbing at all)

We were there with the tent for a few days. The groundskeeper was very helpful, and the lady at reception was also very friendly. Everything went smoothly. Only the weather didn't want it that way, but nobody had any influence on that 😅

Unfortunately we only had one table left in the restaurant as everything outside was reserved. It was very warm and stuffy inside and there were lots of flies on the window pane. The food was ok.

The vegetarian margarita pizza here was pretty good and the Vegetarian alpler macaroni with applesauce and roasted onions was excellent and I would highly recommend it.

I always enjoyed being a guest at the Obsee restaurant because the food was always delicious. Unfortunately we had a visibly annoyed young waitress today. For example, when she uncovered it, she reprimanded my friend with a sharp "no" and a shake of her head when my friend tried to move the decorations out of her way. We also felt like she was a nuisance in other ways. What was supposed to be a lovely evening ended with a depressing journey back.

Nice view of the lake. Price management good. Cozy, rustic, pub, restaurant that you'll love to go to again. Portions a bit small depending on the menu. Eat good.

Beautiful place, pleasant service, very good food. The only problem is the number of flies in the environment.

Firstly, I wouldn't have given a star if I could. Secondly, there were so many flies you couldn't enjoy the food. Third, they didn't have ketchup. Fourthly, we had Rösti and Leberli with jus. The livers were served with a stroganoff sauce and the rösti was raw. After pointing out that the Rösti wasn't cooked through, we get a new one that was equally bad - drowned in oil and not cooked. I would never go back🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The food is pretty good if you don't expect too much. All in all, I enjoyed it. The view from the terrace seats is great, so I recommend it as a place to enjoy the atmosphere itself. The staff is very friendly and there is an English menu available.

There was a mix-up with the order so we had to wait for 1 and a half hour for it to be corrected. Our first order didn’t go through so the waitress gave us a new set of menus. The new menu had much limited options for dishes and missed the menus that we’ve ordered. The food we got on the second order was decent but wasn’t great as the ones we have been having in Switzerland for past few days. I understand the mix up can happen, but having to wait 1 and a half hour for food was not a good experience and affected our schedules later that afternoon. We were offered complimentary drinks or coffees after the meal. All we wanted to do was get out and get going and had to refuse the offer. All in all beer was good and maybe next time it might be better, but based on today’s experience, that might not happen. I understand for most cases the restaurant would be a nice place for a meal and enjoy the scenery, but I have to leave one star review based on my own experience.

Nice, simple camping with everything you need in a great setting

Very friendly and uncomplicated, I was able to wash my work clothes and climbing equipment outside with the hose and was allowed to hang them up to dry in the cloakroom, very good infrastructure, everything was tip-top.

The scenery is unparalleled. The steak tastes good but the price is a bit high. Don't order pasta. The children's set meal is a bit weird. After boiling, pouring the sauce on it has no taste. The pumpkin soup is okay.

Beautiful location of the campsite! Clean sanitary facilities! Beautiful pitches! A special compliment to the very nice and dedicated groundskeeper “Hausi”. We'd love to come back!

A very nice campsite on Lake Lungern. Clean sanitary facilities, very beautiful plots with views of the lake and mountains and wonderful hiking opportunities make the holiday perfect. Many thanks also to Hausi, the good soul at the place! Always friendly, takes care of everything and without him it wouldn't be half as nice 😏. Also worth highlighting is the friendliness of the residents of Lungern. This place and the region are absolutely recommended. We'll definitely be back.

There’re not many dining choices in this area. We walked in to this place based on decent review. I’m glad we did. Loved the whole fish and beer!

A fantastic place! On the left hand a waterfall, straight ahead the green mountain lake for swimming, all around the model railway landscape, within walking distance to the valley station to reach an altitude of 1500m in 10 minutes, what more could you want...

good coffee. very old toilets, that reminds me of my childhood😁 but it was super clean and everything was in order. The royal hall looked sensational.

We stayed at Klaus' campsite with our camper and always went to eat in the restaurant. Really delicious.

I guess you review the restaurant and the camping at one place! Camping: The camping place was super sweet. We were lucky and got a spot right by the water with a beautiful view of both the lake and the church. Did you guys know that the church bells right every hour throughout the night? oh and at 5am (or 6am not sure) they ring continuously for 5 minutes? You didn't? We also didn't, but now we do. Wow. That's all I gotta say. Somehow I'm not deducting a star though, because I don't think the camp grounds can help it - but just be aware!!! It's a beautiful place and I'd actually still choose to come back and camp again -but I'd be sure to bring headphones/ear plugs. ;) Restaurant: We were lucky because we didn't have a reservation but I think we went early enough that we could get one of the free tables. That tends to happen when you hike for so long - you don't mind eating dinner at 5:30. The wait staff was quite nice and the beer was good. We also both chose to share fischknusperli and rösti with vegetables. The meal was delicious.

Kind, friendly, English speaking staff, delicious selection of gelato and dishes.

We really liked the place. Everything was very clean and tidy, sanitary facilities were tip top. Pitches for caravans with grass paving stones. The good spirit of the place is Hausi, who is always there to help and advise. Beach nice, a bit rocky. At the other end of the lake there is another very nice swimming area with a view of the snowy mountains and glaciers. 4.5 km through the forest. Good starting point for trips to the surrounding lakes and mountains. E.g. Brienzer Rothorn! Also recommended are the Aare Gorge and the waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen. We didn't visit the restaurant and can't say anything about it. We can only warmly recommend this place in a fantastic location!

We had the chicken grill and the Tarte flambee. Both were delicious. Unfortunately we had gone late in the night, so couldn't have the dine in experience, but the ambience was good. Definitely a nice place to try some grill items.

It’s too expensive than what you get

A modest sign shows the way to the small bistro by the lake. It's worth using the parking space and spending 3 francs. A short walk to the lake. Read the small but nice menu, order from the buffet, wait a moment and enjoy the delicious food. Of course, the beautiful view over the lake is not to be despised. The bistro is open when the weather is nice and welcomes its guests with a smile even in stressful moments. You feel very welcome. So let’s go!!

Simply great, we were on vacation with people with disabilities nearby. As soon as we entered the restaurant, all special needs were taken into account as a matter of course. This continued throughout the entire visit to the restaurant. We felt completely comfortable and accepted, which is far from a given. Special thanks and greetings to the waiter Eric, who served us. He managed the situation in a very relaxed manner and with all his heart, a true man of heart😊

For me one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. Not just because I got married here and the people were more friendly to me than anywhere else in Switzerland. There is a restaurant at the top of the train station. The landlord and his family run a family business. This restaurant, which also offers cakes for sale, with its service and everything about it, makes Obsee a place that I always remember fondly. And the campsite is particularly nice, with small houses that you can rent. I always like to come back. And the Birewegge of the region... To dream. 😘

Friendly, but the order wasn't clean instead of small it came large, instead of with cream it came without and instead of caremell ice cream it came vanilla. But food was very good!

A wonderful restaurant, I ate their famous classic dish

The campsite is beautiful. The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially Hausi, the campsite warden. Since the lake is not guaranteed to be full before June 10th, I wouldn't go there before then. Otherwise the lake looks very desolate. Therefore, find out about the water level first. Sanitary facilities are nice and clean. Unfortunately, you don't really get a camping feeling because 80% of the campsite consists of permanent pitches/bungalows. There are a few nice campsites by the lake. Definitely recommended in summer. Price is also very fair.

Wanted to have dessert and a snack on a Sunday at 3:45 p.m. After we made our way to a nice table, a lady with her mouth full jumped up to us and tried to move us away. The reason: I have to cover dinner! ...? Hmm, not even 4 p.m. yet, 2 people drinking coffee and already worried that there will be work. Sorry, completely wrong! We left the restaurant and enjoyed the snack in the Kaiserstuel Lungern, where we were served very courteously.
