Flee the snack bar on the ground floor! We ate 4 dishes (pizza, carbo pasta, hot dog and a suggestion of the day). We got yelled at by the boss, we ate mini bags of candy after our meal and my son got the bottom of a bag of dried mangoes out of our backpack. The lady at the checkout looked at us nastily so we left the place without having coffee and we will not return to this place. The boss is not smiling, not friendly and it shows on his face. I would add that the food is very mediocre and cold.

Self-service restaurant with little charm, like a company canteen. Little creative decor in the separate restaurant. Unfortunately Rösti is not good, too little heat, too much fat. Pointless “woke” communal toilets that completely stop operations. Who came up with something like that?

As a lover of good cuisine, I was delighted by the quality and originality of the dishes. The chef succeeds in enhancing local products with a touch of creativity that delights the taste buds. The welcome matched the cuisine: warm, professional and attentive. I particularly appreciated the cozy and elegant atmosphere of the restaurant, which creates a perfect setting for a memorable meal.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at the Sorebois restaurant, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. Despite some mixed reviews I had read online, my visit far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfectly suited to the mountain atmosphere of the region. The service was impeccable, with an attentive and courteous team, reflecting the friendly spirit of Sorebois. As for the cuisine, it was a real treat. Each dish was prepared with care, highlighting the richness of local products. I particularly enjoyed the fondue, which was creamy and tasty, a real comfort after a day in the mountains.

A disaster ! At least for the self... we arrived this lunchtime and the menu was tiny... a smell of frying and smoke so strong... I asked for puree that I saw on the plates of the menu and I was told to an unpleasant tone that there was no more and that now it was polenta… basically these are the leftovers or what??? There was nothing in the displays and the little that was left didn't seem appetizing at all... we finally had an aniviarde quiche: basically a tiny slice of barely edible industrial quiche with 3 wilted salad leaves.. 9.50 chf for that was a steal! We preferred to make our children wait to eat at our accommodation…

Having been accustomed to this restaurant for several years, what was our astonishment when when we were new for 3 years, the quality had clearly declined. A menu divided by 2, children's portions, chicken bathed in oil. The old local menu has given way to a hormone-fed Brazilian chicken (well done for the frankness). Let's salute the feat of the cook who managed to make a burger burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Return this self to its former glory!!

I have been coming here since I was 1 year old. So we've been coming almost every year for 26 years. This year was by far the most disastrous... The menu has declined as much as the self-service space and the quality even more so! A raw burger in the center and burnt at the edge, a shallot sauce without taste and slimy texture, a soup to season yourself. What a pity …

In the self-dervive area Were 4 people, lunch. The chefs have no professional pride. Pretty much the worst food we've eaten. Soup too expensive, no taste. Hot dog too expensive, no taste. Fries are stale and old, Bolognese has nothing to do with Bolognese. A small bottle of beer costs 8.-. No claim to quality, as the pub gets full anyway on a good day of skiing. That's really a pity

We were seated and since we couldn't order anything to drink or food for 30 minutes, we left again. The restaurant was at most half full and the two servers “wandered” around listlessly. Never again!

After 10 minutes you only get the card in the serviced part. After 30 minutes, no one had taken our order, not even drinks. The service was just bad and we left without even being able to order. That's why I can't judge the food.

We were seated at a table and told we would have to wait 5 minutes. This wasn't a problem for us. After 30 minutes we didn't even have anything to drink. The waitress walked back and forth empty and still didn't take anything from us, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. So we left the restaurant hungry and thirsty. Service poor. Never again!!!

Eating at the restaurant makes you sad! Simple question, does anyone still cook with an ounce of love? Tasteless, cold, soft products, etc. Looking for gluten or dairy free products? Forget it now! Unless you like soggy fries! Tomatoes in January? … in short, it feels like an old cafeteria that hasn’t changed since the 90s! And what’s more, it’s so expensive, 30.- for 4 pieces of meat lying around under cellophane! I'm ashamed for you... Fortunately there aren’t many other offers on the slopes in Zinal!

I ate there every day between Christmas and New Years, the daily menu (no vegetarian option) is always super good for a restaurant on the slopes.

I am outraged, the portion of fries which halves its size and by increasing the price, the ketchup is not even offered... Self service at 8frs for small fries is expensive! I'm so shocked that I don't know what to say anymore.

The deer rack on the hot stone was excellent and the four other game dishes on the menu sounded very good.

Incredible bistronomic experience. Since the new menu, we are almost in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Unrivaled value for money! A few adjustments to make to be optimal. I wonder how the card can be adapted to winter. I will stay!

There were two of us yesterday at noon; What was our surprise at the very friendly welcome at this fully restored mountain restaurant. In a simple and pleasant setting and a view of the Besso, the Weisshorn, Zinal Rothorn, Obergabelhorn etc. The dishes offered are interesting and diverse. I would like to recommend it because everything is there to have a good time in altitude. Dan.

Beautiful terrace with beautiful views of the Imperial Crown with 4,000 ers. With a bit of luck you will also spot the marmots with binoculars on the terrace...🏞🔍

The view on site is unbeatable. The food itself was okay too. Only the tarte rustique was actually not reasonably priced. The portion was tiny and eaten in “three bites.” Les croutes au fromage, on the other hand, was incredibly tasty and the portion size was more than appropriate for the price.

The mountain restaurant in Zinal. This restaurant is located at the top of the cable cars of the Zinal ski resort. It is located at the bottom of the ski slopes. There is a long terrace with tables with a view overlooking the Anniviers valley. Inside, it is self-service with meal trays. We eat well there. A good choice of dishes. It’s clear that in winter, in the middle of the ski season, it’s full of people. The prices correspond to the Swiss standard of living.

A great classic for the break between 2 half days of skiing, a soup, a bowl of fries and presto!

A restaurant worthy of the installations of the 70s with a minimum of investment and a maximization of return. This gives us the impression of a local money pump. Very unfortunate, because with a reasonable investment, Zinal could offer a wonderful experience for its tourists.

Insane prices, for ultra minimalist portions, at self-service, a totally disorganized kitchen, paying 54 francs for 2 tiny portions, 5 nugets which are coming after, a desire of splitting, and 1 tea, it's frankly excessive and a beautiful self-skier scam, for all these years that abuses on the prices and quality of self-skiers in the resort have been reported, I thought that the restaurateurs would make efforts in this area, reduce the offer, yes, continue the insane prices by reducing even more the portions for that they are very strong, the rest is only disappointment at a gold price, lukewarm, arrived at the table it is cold, an interminable wait in a very poorly managed kitchen, stop serving to go take care of others tasks while waiting, the food getting cold in front of you and no one left, it's just lamentable. A word of advice for Zinal, take your picnic to avoid being cheated by exorbitant pricing practices.

Disaster The service was catastrophic, totally disorganized, the staff no longer knew who ordered what, not to mention the endless wait. It was displayed in the available menus: veal sausages + onions + fries. After ordering this we received a poorly cooked sausage, and fries which left something to be desired. As for the onions, no one seemed to be informed that this was on the menu list. A joke 🤣 The quality is no longer the same.

My review refers to the self-service restaurant: First the chef forgot our order, then he was rude. When I asked if I could have some sauce with the bratwurst, the answer was simply no. My daughter's chicken nuggets were so chewy that they couldn't be eaten and the fries were fried several times and were also 50% inedible. Portions have halved compared to last year while prices have risen. Mistakes can always happen, but arrogance and unfriendliness are absolutely unacceptable! We have always enjoyed being guests here for the last 30 years, but we will no longer support this in the future. Nobody needs that!

I have known this restaurant for quite a few years and it is necessary to emphasize the great evolution over the years. The slopes restaurant now flourishes with gastronomy. Everything is very good! Where Sorebois will never be equaled is its location facing the imperial crown, 5 mountains over 4000 m facing you, what majesty. Very nice wine list

We were up here in September 2022... great service... amazing panoramic view of the Valais Alps. Now we have hiked a lot. In January we'll be back skiing 🎿 🎿 🎿 and 👍🙋‍♂️

The Montagnard d'Anniviers specialty with its little local Reblochon on potato fondue with country ham and morel sauce is a real killer. It alone justifies the move from Shanghai to Sorebois.

So to be clear, I try to be as objective as possible when I give comments on a restaurant because I am perfectly aware of the efforts that must be made when running a public establishment. But here really I can't help but be direct: we may all be subject to the conditions of covid but how can we justify a vulgar roast beef sandwich for 12.50!! And when I make the remark I am told: “but it’s roast beef all the same.” No, but who are we kidding?!?!? It’s more expensive for a sandwich on rue du Rhône in Geneva!! And then they complain that people no longer come. I have been loyal to Zinal for almost 30 years and I must say that I find it a shame to have a mountain restaurant which is content to produce nourishing cuisine at an exorbitant price when it could produce good cuisine. , with fresh products at more reasonable prices. I don't see why I would pay so much for food that is apparently made from frozen foods, not sophisticated, in short, very mediocre. It's not complicated to try to please your customers rather than just taking basic products (Chicken, lasagna, veal sausages, etc.) and making a profit. Personally, I much prefer to go to La Marmotte where the products are fresh, the welcome is friendly and where you feel that the pleasure of pleasing takes precedence over the financial aspect. And I specify that I have no interest in favoring the marmot over another establishment. In summary, I would advise ski lifts to ask themselves the right questions now and make the necessary decisions.

Magnificent terrace and very good cuisine

I always look for the right one to give the most objective opinion possible. But, ok it's covid, it's only possible to do take away but the sandwich (ok with the birthday roastbeaf) at Ch 12.50 is beyond exaggeration. Damage. I decided not to take a picnic today to do, as I do every other time, walk to the high-altitude restaurants. I regret. It is not certain that I will consume again in this establishment.

Everything that I have tried at this place was really satisfying, although I need to note that the prices here are hard to handle. If you go to any other place in the area they get lower. If you do not mind this then you will definitely enjoy the dishes that they have to offer. I would personnaly recommend lasagna, salmon sandwich and hot chocolate.

It's good to go here for lunch or coffee between bills. It's nice to bask in the sun on the terrace and admire the scenery, weather permitting.

The dish of the day is the best value for money: slow-cooked meats, original and tasty accompaniments, good presentation. The others can eat their fried nuggets...
