Disappointed This is at least the tenth time I've ordered and this time it was absolutely not up to par with the other times. During my first orders the dishes were generous but this time it was the opposite. I am sad to see that the dishes are becoming children's portions and the naans have also reduced in size. For 35 francs, it's really a steal. The dishes are also not as good as before. Disappointed to see a good restaurant turn into stingy people. This was my last order.

Had amazing lunch, their butter chicken has very rich flavors just like I had back in India All the dishes are worth the price.

Disappointing. 28fr for child-sized plates. I ordered a butter chicken and after a considerable wait I found myself with literally 6 small pieces of chicken on my plate, I asked for more and the waiter brought me a small bowl with 2 small pieces of chicken in it. telling myself “for a portion we count 6 pieces of chicken”…. Needless to say, the taste was not up to par, chicken dry and lacking in seasoning, the same for my companion who ordered the lamb. When we want to pay, they ask us if it was good. I tell the waiter no, it was too expensive for what we got, he replies “everyone likes it and tells us it’s not dear”, which is a really cheeky response. Really to avoid. We won't go back there.

One of the finest Indian restaurants in Switzerland, the ambiance is very vibrant and classic. The service is super friendly and always ready with awesome recommendations. Each and every dish speaks for itself.

Very refined food and really friendly service. We were even treated to a small free dessert: a small Kulfi but with an excellent gastronomic touch. Quite expensive but the flavors were worth it!

This evening I ordered a dish: "Paneer Masala" with rice and a Naan with cheese. When I opened it, I discovered a portion that was supposed to be for a child and all for 27.-! I was very disappointed with the quantity given the still high price.

Big disappointment last night. My well presented dish, I took the "Thali" dish, contained only 2-3 shrimps and 2-3 pieces of minced chicken, and a little rice, really a little. Big scam. The person with me asked if his choice was very spicy, he was told no, it wasn't. This was the second time I ate at this restaurant, the first time was ok, it will be the last.

I ate very well, the chai is like in India. The staff is very nice.

Pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in Fribourg serving delicious Indian food. The ambience and service were top-notch too! The staff (esp. Nadia) were very warm and welcoming. Don't think twice if you're looking for amazing food.

Founded by chance and it was really surprising for us, the food tasted so delicious and we trusted to give our 1 year old to eat for the first time the homemade paneer and the mango and yogurt drink which he seemed to enjoy very much too. Would certainly eat there again when we'll return to Fribourg.

We organized an event for a friend's birthday. We invited 18 people. They stayed opened for us, they organized a space to place a long table with all cute decorations/candles/flowers!! The prepared some appetizers to share and then each one of us ordered a main course. It was really delicious!! The atmosphere was so calming and warming, and they did everything they could so that my friend could have an amazing birthday!! Some wonderful people right there!! Recommended 100%

Very good Indian restaurant... where you can choose either a single dish, or a dish to taste different preparations, that's the choice I made (see photo) everything is very tasty... I recommend. .. I was there in the evening, but for lunch I have the impression that they have a buffet formula (several large containers with the names of the dishes) to be confirmed In terms of decor, there are a few touches at the entrance, but then the restaurant doesn't necessarily take us to India, too bad...

I'm critical of Indian food, but this meal in the restaurant was really extremely tasty. Good service, attentive, exotic atmosphere. Very very tasty starter. Main course very good, enough and well prepared. My girlfriend took a Lam Rogan Josh, wow that was incredibly tasty!

Early yesterday evening, the restaurant wasn't fully booked and we got a great seat without a reservation. We ate samosa and prawn something as a starter, these were extremely tasty. Main course, lamb Rogan Josh and lamb from the clay pot (Tikken?) This was so great I'm just thrilled🥰 Garlic Naan went perfectly with it. Very nice conditions👍

While passing through Fribourg, we were looking for a restaurant while walking and came across this restaurant by chance. Warm welcome, we ended up speaking German with the welcoming and very friendly waitress. The meal was just perfect in terms of quantity, quality and Scoville potency. I strongly recommend coming to discover this establishment and as far as I am concerned, I would not hesitate to come back from time to time.

I have been taking food since last 2 weeks. Food is so taste and delicious. More over ambience is so admirable, really you love it. I used to replace rice with Naan, they accept it with out additional charges, some other Indian restaurants charging extra, money minded. Staff is very very polite. Thanks Diyarah!

Nice, tasty and stylish. Meals and tables are well decorated. Lunch buffet is simple but gives enough options to fill your plate couple times. Some of the waiters are not as professional as they could, but it is well compensated by their friendliness and sence of humor. We will come back to try all the menu :-)

I’ve eaten Indian food on multiple continents and Diyarah rates at the top of my list. Bold flavors, dishes appropriately spiced, melt in your mouth lamb and chicken. This was one of my favorite meals since I moved from the USA.

Every time we come to Deeyarah, it is, always, not just about dining but a Wonderful Moment!! Par excellence - from food to service! Exquisite Indian food with perfect spices, aromas and taste. The team is so friendly and always takes care to offer the best quality. Beautiful ambiance and decor too. Much too expensive for a very small and not incredible dish, I really don't recommend it. The nan was good but making a Poly Pocket size vegetable curry for 22.50 is not very valid. Answer : So I took the takeaway menu in the evening, so until I got home at (9:30 p.m.), I couldn't see the size of the menu I had chosen. Given the time, I wasn't going to make the trip to the restaurant again to complain about the size of the dish. I have not kept the receipt but I would like to come and show you my account statement with the transaction for your restaurant so that you can see for yourself that it is a real opinion and that I have indeed consume well at home. This isn't the first comment you've received about the ridiculous size of takeaway meals, so instead of doubting the veracity of a review, put in bigger portions... Finally, know that you are the first restaurant on which I left a review it was just making fun of the customer this kind of price for a meal like this. I don't think there are many people who spend their evenings on the internet looking for restaurants to shoot down for fun....l

Tasty and correct buffet for 19 fr. The tastes are varied and their pancakes are very good. On the other hand, I didn't find the soup great. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is bright and well appointed. Place to discover.

There was a sign outside that said 'buffet' with the corresponding prices. The waitress informed us that the buffet was not available today but only from a menu. When I asked again, the excuse was that the colleague had put out the wrong sign. Another guest also asked about the buffet. At the entrance area it looked as if the buffet was ready, including the pots marked on it. It seems to us that this is how they want to attract guests. The food was delicious, but there was very little rice. We would have greatly appreciated an accommodation such as a free coffee. Unfortunately there wasn't even an apology. We have been to this restaurant several times but we don't want to be tricked again in the future. What a coincidence! Today we were in front of the restaurant in question again. And again the decoy offer regarding buffet à discretion was advertised for Fr. 19. When we asked, the employee told us that the offer was not valid today and that the sign was outside by mistake. That can not be true! The restaurant actually doesn't need to attract customers in this way because the food tastes very good. What's wrong with you here?

Fr. 28.50 for less than 50g of chicken from Ukraine or Hungary! Service only speaks English well. On your website it says 'Be served like a king and queen!' but in my experience, they don't know much about service. just a lot of blah blah blah!!

Editing this review after my 1st experience was an isolated event. Also, it is absolutely evident the owners care about their customers and their business. Second time around the portions were definitely more generous. The dishes are well presented and rather tasty, particularly the butter chicken. Staff is polite and amiable. I would still appreciate if the dishes were actually marked so as to know which is which, but that's a minor concern. Full disclosure: I received 100chf credit from the owners as goodwill for my initial experience, which was done through a paper voucher. We then made an order under a different name and the voucher was only presented at the end, so there's no bias towards me.

Honestly the best Indian restaurant in Fribourg, the buffet is 19Fr with dessert, nothing to say the food is exceptional and the waitresses are very nice, don't speak French well but that doesn't bother me in any way👌🏻👍🏻

We order there regularly, the restaurant is magnificent and we enjoy a large number of dishes, except the Butter chicken, our usual favorite Indian dish. It is too spicy and we don't find the taste of butter chicken that we find in other Indian restaurants... The staff is very nice, in fact at least some of them should know French better. They got the orders wrong a few times, but it was still very good.
