This place is magnificent. The restaurant overlooks the entire Mont Blanc range. We are amazed and we feel like we are in another world. . A change of scenery guaranteed. So don’t hesitate to go there.!!!!

Very beautiful site with a beautiful view. A cuisine that is both good and generous. Nothing to complain about the service: pleasant people, smiling and who adapt as best as possible to the number of customers present.

Good place to warm up and have a bite to eat. Huge cheese crusts! The “small” ones are the same size as crusts in many restaurants, the “normal” ones are twice as big! They are relatively good but lack accompaniment (only one pickle lost on top). Good sausage and fries, nothing more. Friendly and very fast service even though the restaurant was almost full. Fair price. Noisy, but as said above, it was full. It's a shame that the "fallen plates" litter the floor a bit (even if it's still entirely reasonable and, given the crowds, it's difficult to sweep the floor between each service)

Place at 2000 on the terrace where we have the Mt Blanc range as a spectacle, all without the sun Mountain cuisine that takes care of the body. Very good service with a smile, a little expensive for my taste, despite everything it is recommended for the place. Magnificent achievement of man at this altitude... I have been going to Emosson for more than 10 years to walk and fish. We have organized several fishing trips where we brought people to the restaurant but what was my surprise today when we were quietly waiting for a table to become available, my daughter-in-law saw a person who was about to leave their table simply went to ask her if she was leaving and there, the gentleman, visibly annoyed by the question, became aggressive, the waitress added, calling my daughter-in-law, my partner and myself ill-mannered. Then the man attacked my wife, telling her to get away, he then looked at me in a threatening manner and the waitress nodded at the scene, obviously she knew this character. It’s still unacceptable to not even be able to say no, sorry, we’re not finished! Who are the rude people in there!!??? I won't set foot up there again, it's unfortunate and a shame. ABE

We stopped on the way back from our bivouac in the morning, the staff is very welcoming, the dishes are copious (small cheese, ham and egg crust) for a very reasonable price, even more room for dessert! Not to mention a superb view of the mountains, we highly recommend.

Hiking from Châtelard, I arrived soaking wet in front of the restaurant which was open! It was cold and windy, the restaurant team was inside. I tried to open the door but it was locked. The boss saw me making desperate signs, but signaled that they were not going to open to let me in! I had never experienced such a cold and neglectful welcome in any mountain inn!

Very good cheese crusts. On the other hand, we felt a little too much on arrival... perhaps a lack of staff? In the end we were still well served and we ate very well in this very Swiss place with a beautiful view 🫶

A big congratulations to the staff who remained warm and smiling despite a horde of customers, each more unbearable than the next, I would personally award them the purple medal for patience. Hearty dishes, and the size of the ice cream raises the sea level by 10 cm. The minus star for the atmosphere is for people impatient with tearful incivility.

A breathtaking view, the staff is very friendly and responsive, the prices are a little expensive but still reasonable for an "attitude" restaurant. The dishes are consistent, which is good for a hike. The dish of the day is definitely worth it.

Awesome drive to this picturesque place. The staff speaks multiple languages and are attentive. Each of our meals were delicious and plentiful. Feel like a python who swallowed a whole goat!

Everything was perfect, the service, the cuisine and the atmosphere, value for money it is worth stopping there. Half a portion for a “normal” eater is more than enough. To recommend without taking any risks.

This restaurant and its employees are just awesome!! We had booked, but unfortunately given the crowds and the wait at the funicular, we arrived at 2 p.m. and they had to give away our table. But they did everything to make room for us quickly even though there were 9 of us and it was crowded! We didn't even wait 5 minutes! Impeccable, friendly and fast service! The food is very good and the prices very reasonable. We'll come back! Thanks again for everything, especially to the gentleman with blue eyes, with the rastas. You are at the top! Lots of people on this magnificent day of July 27... But the service is top notch!! The staff is very friendly and efficient to limit the wait... Arriving at 1:40 p.m., we were able to have lunch in less than an hour 👍 And what a spectacle the point of view on the MrBlanc thanks to the whole team

Superb view from the terrace and very friendly staff but apart from that, they are overwhelmed. And the organization is Parisian style: the waiters only serve "their" tables, too bad for you if you have been waiting for something for 20 minutes, you have to manage to call "your" waiter. Bad value for money dishes, a salad of soulless raw vegetables costs 20 euros at this price I expect to have flavors even if it means having less on the plate. Our table neighbors (we shared a table with another family because not enough room on the terrace at least it was nice) ordered 1 omelette for 11 euros, be aware that the omelette arrives alone without even a sprig of salad. There was more to eat in the children's dish for 11 euros (3 small slices of industrial ham and lots of fries). We came back later for snack, we had to wait 45 minutes to get an ice cream although it was no longer the lunchtime crowd (15 minutes before ordering, I asked 3 times for the table to be cleaned because very dirty, my order was forgotten but not that of my daughter who got her ice cream after 5 minutes and I had to restart 3 times to get my ice cream which had undoubtedly been forgotten). To summarize: it helps and it's a shame because with better organization and a little more flavor and quality on the plate, despite the prices we would be satisfied.

Superb place at the top of the dam to eat or just hydrate. Possible to pay in euros but bring Swiss francs if you are French. Right next door it is possible to do a very pleasant zip line with a panoramic view of the dam and the mountains. The prices are affordable and the meals are good. The tourist office is right next door to plan your walks after your meal!

For those who are very hungry it is perfect. The cheese crust bread deserves to be toasted and sprinkled with a little white wine. Super fast service.

Dogs not accepted on the terrace. When we sat on the terrace we immediately felt that our dog was not appreciated. We said we could leave if things got out of hand. We were told that we had better weather... To respond to your comment: an apology was issued immediately and we were asked to leave by your server. Our dog is 7 months old and unfortunately jumped on this one, which doesn't happen. But there is a way of speaking to us that must remain at least polite. I will refrain from any further comments, the wrongs being recognized only on our part.

Unpleasant staff, especially the waiter who leers at the customers (frankly inappropriate!); we are told at 4:15 p.m. that the kitchen is closed (written 5 p.m. on the menu...), Valaisan plate which favors quantity over quality: bressaola, industrial salami, nothing Valaisan in there, all very fatty and salty. To avoid ! Only positive point: a beautiful view

Incredibly miserable and rude staff. I know there’s a language barrier but did not have the time of day for my partner and I. Lining their pockets but still couldn’t crack a smile. I didn’t realise the language barrier affects your ability to smile at your customers. So many empty tables but told us not to sit on them although we only wanted to sit and enjoy the half full mug of coffee I was served. Instead we were just rudely pointed over to a table full of empty dirty glassware which was left on the table from previous customers. 15 empty glass and mugs in fact, which not one of the staff made the effort to clear off the table for us whilst we sat there. What a shame as the views are incredible and the restaurant is really nothing special. So glad we didn’t order anything to eat here.

The place adorable, with friendly stuff. Open for the customer needs. The soup- potage is amazing. If it’s rainy You can come in with your dog! For the fans of archeology there is a plenty intresting fossil and infos waiting. There is also possibility of overnight. Truly recommend it

Wouldn't let me sit by the window on the grounds that 20 people could in a hypothetical universe arrive at 1:30 p.m. all together. The same for a couple who wanted to enjoy the view. On the other hand, their friends (the waitress) were able to be at the window... Unfriendly and unequal treatment... Rather die of hunger than eat there...

We had a pleasant time: the beer was very cold, the dishes were plentiful, the blueberry pie was unmissable, the service was friendly and efficient, and last but not least, the view was sensational.

Took a Valais plate 25.- 4 slices of raw ham, 4 pieces of cheese, 2 onions without pickles, 4 mini slices of bacon and 4 slices of raw sausage. Real theft On the other hand, waitress at the top

Very pleasant after a hike to sit down in the shade of a parasol to enjoy, for example, a Valais plate "l'ardoise", with a glass of Fendant. The service is fast and friendly. And the view... three stars!

Breathtaking and grandiose setting, very appreciable during the heatwave weeks 😊, nice and dynamic restaurant with a team of young people on hand to serve 👍👍. Fair price, not a tourist trap, keep it up ✌ The only regret in this magnificent place is the departure from Châtelard with the VerticAlp funicular for the broken dam in the middle of the 2022 summer season.

I've eaten here twice now and I've definitely rediscovered the atmosphere of Chamonix that I knew in the 80s. Here we will welcome you simply and warmly! For the menu.. well stop by and you will be pleasantly surprised.

We came yesterday with our daughter, to a restaurant where even if we had not reserved, the young women who were serving found a solution in 2 minutes, and with a smile and kindness. The waitress apologized for the waiting time....of I think 10 minutes, so very little waiting in the middle of the shot. Efficient, pleasant, fast service, we ate very well in a splendid setting, THANK YOU for this pleasant moment which enhanced this superb day! PS I recommend their wonderful raspberry clafoutis!

The prices are really fair. Very generous portions and the dishes are good. A good mountain restaurant serving local dishes. Despite the last day of the season, the whole team was on task.

We were served by friendly and efficient staff, both by the waitresses and by the speed of the service. We ate very well and the dishes were plentiful and very affordable. We can only highly recommend this establishment.

I was pleased to have taken this trip, it's a highlight, especially when the weather is ideal, otherwise it's no fun. The restaurant is OK at the moment. I'm honestly a bit disappointed with the menu offerings. They don't offer certain things at lunch but only in the evening. They're not happy about what's on the board, but they advertise the whole thing on the internet offer, then they should do it. The cheese slices were okay, the cheese was good, but the bread was cut strangely, I won't eat warm food up there anymore!
