Restaurant Freihof in Au (SG)

Real village restaurant without any big frills. Very cozy but...a place where you can just say hi to each other. The service is very friendly. Pizzas...the BEST far and wide! GOOD Cozy, simple.....I would love to go there again to eat a very fine pizza. Pizzas are nice and big and very well topped. Top price too.

Had the lunch menu with soup, salad and schnitzel/fries. Soup and salad were very nice. The fries a little too dry. The schnitzel or rather the schnitzels were completely normal, so good. Service very friendly and reasonably priced. There is also a smoking section 👍🏼. Will definitely go there again.

The pizza was ok. Not outstanding. Even though it was ordered on time, it was already quite cold. Unfortunately, a voucher that was issued a year ago was not accepted because neither the pizzaiolo nor the waitress knew what it looked like. I should try another time when the boss was present... a bit disappointing

Been in Switzerland for 10 years and ate the most delicious pizza today. I'm a regular customer from today. Bravo.

Nice service, good beer, small snacks to eat until closing time. Folded toast with Appenzeller cheese is recommended. Has a small, pleasant cellar which can also be used for groups. The toilet is on the first floor, which is not ideal for wheelchair users.
