A somewhat lost place, great welcome, perfect for a motorbike stopover. I will definitely come back.

We were very satisfied with Älplermakaroni, our chilled drinks, the friendly service and the great view.

By post bus from Bad Ragaz to the Gigerwald dam. Then on foot to St. Martin in Calfeisental. Little church and ossuary. This Saturday, restaurants are overcrowded. Back through 3 tunnels... Be careful of car idiots... in an hour and a half via the dam to the Gigerwald restaurant. Well looked after here. And back again with the post bus.

Fantastic location, very friendly staff and delicious Swiss specialties. However, as is usual in Switzerland, not comparable to our prices.

Today I was a guest at the Berggasthof Gigerwald. Unfortunately, the innkeepers do not in any way live up to the claim that can be found on the Internet: “We are a small, fine mountain inn/tavern”. The menu has shrunk to a minimum due to a lack of staff and apparently only Convenient is warmed up in the microwave. The capuns I chose from today's menu will also be delivered upon request, not homemade. But they often ask for hefty prices. The service was very attentive and friendly. She gets 5 stars ***** from me.

Nice conditions and good food. What more do you want. From Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. you can eat a very good burger that I can highly recommend. It's definitely worth a visit.

Restaurant with terrace, parking spaces and playground on the way to Gigerwaldsee.

We were in the restaurant on Friday May 14th, there was no lunch menu, but both options available were top (schnitzel or cordon bleu with fries). It was well filled, the large terrace had seating with the necessary distance.

We were only here for a short cafe break. That's why we can't judge the restaurant. However, we can definitely recommend a trip to the Gigerwald reservoir 🤗 The road is a bit narrow and when the post bus comes it gets tight and you have to go back to the next alternative 😉

The boss is pretty harsh with the employees. You can tell that from the staff.

Eating only with seeds or with pickles, you can't get a normal salad or an alpine macaron

A wonderful destination. Always great when the weather is nice. All salads were beautifully freshly made. The potato salad was a bit lacking. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this restaurant again

Das Restaurant Gigerwald ist fast zu hinterst im Calfeisenthal. Eindrücklich ragen die Berge über einen hinunter. In diesem Restaurant ist man wirklich immer ganz herzlich willkommen. Eine super freundliche Bedienung und ein sehr gutes Essen runden diese Lokalität ab. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne dahin. Herzlichen Dank für alles!

The service still needs to be worked on. 40 minutes for 2 ready-made schnitzels.
