We have reserved the hall for a larger celebration with around 20 people. For dinner there was a really great Anatolian (Turkish) buffet. We were simply thrilled and still are! (: First there was a starter buffet with various delicacies from hummus to yoghurt to Fallafel etc. (There were also many vegetarian and some vegan dishes available). Then there was a large meat buffet with common side dishes and salad. We were all more than full! We also received consistently good reviews from our guests. We all agreed the meal was a complete success. The landlady is very accommodating, friendly, helpful and works with a lot of passion. Thanks to her, the celebration was an unforgettable experience. I can only recommend trying these Anatolian dishes, you definitely won't be there for the last time. Thanks again.!

Full of anticipation, we got something to eat again at Gilgenberg. We were very excited to see whether the food would be as good as it was before the change of host. Well… unfortunately the anticipation remained. Price/performance is subpar here... especially since the Gordon bleu and the Wiener Schnitzel were ready-made products and weren't even properly baked. I'm sorry if I say it so directly, but you can get it cheaper and better in almost every snack bar that specializes in equivalent products. We think it's a shame that the old innkeeper is gone.

Stopped here hungry while passing through. The service was friendly and very attentive. The terrace is spacious, unfortunately there is a lot of street noise. Cordon bleu were very fine. Fries were crispy. The pizza was nicely baked and had normal toppings. Unfortunately, I have to make deductions for the rösti. It has a generous amount of cheese on it, but it is a ready-made rosti, and the oil with the vegetables wasn't very high quality either. It would certainly help to make the card at least 50% smaller for freshness.

Unfortunately it hasn't been the same since the change of host. Four things were brought incorrectly during one visit. Lasagna was just an overcooked porridge, Pizza Margeritha with onions and ham but otherwise tasted good. Grappa was free at the end, hence one more star. Salad was good, but we didn't order it. The Eastern service was pretty brisk.

Were very disappointed. Salad dressing was not homemade. Moscato was no longer available. Croquettes were too salty and vegetables weren't seasoned. We would no longer receive this restaurant.
